of the Continental this year. We haven’t had a new Continental to sell in about 15 years at this point. This is a game changer for the Lincoln brand. It’s a great car, it’s a great-looking car, it’s a technologically advanced car, and it’s fun to drive.” In addition, John announced that they will be offering a new Chrysler minivan this year. “Chrysler invented the minivan in the ‘80s and they have the new Pacifica coming out, which is a great-looking model. It has a lot of great technology and it probably will be the best family vehicle that is in the marketplace,” explains John. “Now on our Chevy side, we have the fun sports cars, like the Camaros and Corvettes. Chevy has really been making some comebacks, bringing a lot of focus to their sedans. We’ve been selling and leasing a lot of Chevy sedans lately. And, there is a lot of good stuff going on right now with the Ford and Lincoln brands, too.” Irv developed the company with his reputation for being an honest and trustworthy businessman. He wore his trusty “Mr. Lincoln” hat for many photo opportunities. “We would go out and people would shout ‘Hey, Mr. Lincoln!’” Glenn remembers. Irv’s larger-than-life personality helped the company to sell countless cars, but it also served as an inspiration for the

John’s younger brother, Mark, who works primarily in their Slinger location, is also a big part of the company reaching this 70-year milestone. “Mark went to school in Madison and then came to work at Uptown. receives positive feedback from their customers. “We try to find motivated people with great personalities who care. I really feel that everyone who works at our stores wants the customers to be happy and they do the right thing. The culture here is, simply, if there is a problem with a customer, we empower our employees to fix the problem, and to help that customer leave happy with the outcome,” says John. A good experience with a business, and the people who run it, is what keeps a customer coming back for more. “My goal is that after they walk away, they feel it was the best car dealership experience they’ve ever had,” John explains. “It’s sad to me that the car business always seems so plagued with a negative connotation to it. The customer should leave feeling they’ve worked with someone they both enjoy and trust. It’s supposed to be a happy experience. I want them to leave our business feeling that they can’t

the bluffs at horseshoe bay Door County’s premier residential community

Located just 15 minutes north of Sturgeon Bay and a few minutes south of the Village of Egg Harbor, Horseshoe Bay is home to several residential communities plus some of the best water and sunset vistas in Door County. Also, if one likes golf or nature, the golf course of the adjoining Horseshoe Bay Golf Club–one of the top-rated courses in Wisconsin–offers a wonderful natural setting. These residential condominium communities were originally conceived in the mid-1990s as a way to develop the orchards of the historic and iconic Horseshoe Bay Farms. Originally owned by Frank Murphy, the land was later passed on to family members. Part of Murphy’s original property became the popular Frank E. Murphy County Park, which includes 14 acres along the Green Bay shorefront. Located Home suggested by Premier Properties of Door County.
