CALL FOR ORGANISERS – BRNO 2017 The Organising Team of Brno 2017 – 85th International Session of the European Youth Parliament is happy to launch a call for Organisers!

THE SESSION For more than a year, we have been developing and shaping the vision of Brno 2017. Ideas and thoughts have been forming into an event and its parts, and the core pillars of the vision of the session – encouraging active citizenship, strengthening common European goals and values, and promoting Central Europe – have been established. Main venues have been secured and a tentative programme outlined. Out of a simple vision – to organise an International Session – an event has been shaped: Brno 2017.

THE TEAM The team of Brno 2017 is currently comprised of the Head Organisers, the Core Team members and the Organisers. There are five core areas in which Organisers will be divided throughout the preparation process – Finance, Programme, Participants, Venues, and Public Relations (PR). Each team is led by one Core Team member. Prior the session, the Organising Team will be working on different tasks in their portfolios and partly on fundraising. Any Organiser can also become an Event Head Organiser, for example of the Euroconcert, the Welcome Evenings, the Opening Ceremony, etc. Closer to the session, more on-thespot tasks will be allocated and the structure of the team will be modified to fit the current needs better. We want Brno 2017 to be a great experience not only for participants, for our Organisers. Our aim is to enable those who show enthusiasm and initiative to join the team even if lacking significant organising experience. We also strive for providing flexibility regarding roles, ideas, and used methods, so that anyone can follow their own passion.

THE CALL We are currently looking for new members of the Organising Team – enthusiastic and motivated individuals who would join the team, reflect the vision, breathe life into the event, and help to make it unforgettable. The call is open for both Czech and international Organisers, however, please do bear in mind that we cannot guarantee a full travel reimbursement to organising meetings at the moment.

THE PORTFOLIOS PUBLIC RELATIONS The department of Public Relations (PR) is led by Mr Marek Haisl. Marek has significant experience in this field, as he has been responsible for the website and social media of EYP CZ. He currently studies law in Pilsen. This department is going to cover the PR activities of the session – mainly layouting, maintenance of its website, Facebook. It is also going to secure the media coverage of the session. You can get in touch with Marek at haisl@eyp.cz. PROGRAMME The department of Programme is led by Ms Aneta Šeráková. Aneta has great organising experience fromnumerous sessions. She currently studies Journalism in Prague. The Programme department will be brainstorming, tailoring and finalising the programme of the session and its elements. You can get in touch with Aneta at serakova@eyp.cz. PARTICIPANTS The department of Participants is led by Ms Olga Pexídrová. Olga has vast experience in people management from both within and outside of EYP. She currently works at ARCHIP and Council on International Education and Exchange in Prague. The main task of this department is to ensure that participants’ experience of the session will be unforgettable. You can get in touch with Olga at pexidrova@eyp.cz. FINANCE The department of Finance is currently led by Ms Michaela Novotná, also the Head Organiser of the session. Michaela has great experience in event management both within the EYP and outside. She currently studies Finance in Brno. The goal of this department is to secure finance of the session, through fundraising in companies, grants, foundations and in-kind fundraising. VENUES The department of Venues is led by Ms Anna Švecová. Anna has a wide range of organising experience, as well as experience in other EYP positions. She currently studies law in Brno. This department is going to secure venues for all parts of the session, logistics amongst them, and at the same time make sure that the venues fit the requirements of the programme. Anna will be looking for other members of her team in spring 2017. In the meantime, you can get in touch with her at svecova@eyp.cz.
