Call for Head Organisers Autumn Regional Sessions 2022
The call for Head Organisers for the Autumn Regional Sessions 2022 of EYP Finland is now open. In this call, we are looking for two pairs of Head Organisers to organise the two, three-day autumn Regional Sessions of EYP Finland between October and November 2022. For the year 2022, EYP Finland is continuing with its new calendar for Sessions, organising two three-day Regional Sessions in the spring and two in the autumn as well as a four to five-day National Session in the summer. The Sessions will last one day longer for Officials, including the Head Organisers. As the Head Organisers, you will be responsible for the practical arrangements of the Session, such as securing the venues, creating the program, acquiring sponsors and leading the Organising Team. You will also be working closely with the Session Leadership as well as the Board of EYP Finland. All academic matters of the Session will be handled by the Board and the Academic leadership of the Session, so you are only responsible for practical matters. Previous experience as Organisers in EYP Sessions and other events is recommended and considered an advantage, however, it is not a requirement as the newly selected Head Organisers will receive training. The training is mandatory and planned to be held online. Some important things to note this year are that only applications submitted by two people together will be considered as we do not accept bids for Sessions with just one or more than two Head Organisers. Another important point is that EYP Finland will aim to have these sessions take place traditionally as physical sessions, in case the COVID-19 restrictions in Finland will allow for this. However, the Head Organisers should be willing and able to adapt to a digital format if the situation demands this. For this reason, it is required that at least one of the Head Organisers must be able to visit the planned Session location as needed during the planning process. Head Organising is a good way to challenge and develop as a person, experience a new perspective of Sessions, and receive important experience for later life. Head Organising takes a lot of time but gives back considerably more.

The application should be sent to rekry@eypfinland.org before Friday, 28th of January, 23:59 EET (Finnish time). We will gladly give feedback about your application, and you can then make changes to your application before the deadline. The application can be personal and putting in good effort is recommended. You may include videos, photos, infographics or other elements where you introduce yourselves, the potential Session location or your vision. These are not mandatory, but allow for a more personal touch!
