Welcome To Rustavi We’re all now in the magnificent city of Rustavi, regional Center of the Kvemo Kartli, region, one of the most prosperous and splendid regions of Georgia, but it is not only beauty that draws the tourists to the city, it’s also it’s inestimable value in historical point of view. The foundation of Rustavi is dated from time immemorial. Leonti Mroveli, a Georgian historian, connects this process with the name of the glorious ancestor of Georgian people. As Leonti writes in his works "The description of the Kingdom of Georgia" Rustavi was called Bostan-Kalaki. It was situated on the river Mtkvari and founded by the wife of Kartlos. The historian Leonti Mroveli, who described the lives of the first Georgian kings, mentions the town Rustavi among those castles, which protested the troops of Alexander the Great. Although this theory was later refuted by the historians. Rustavi is an industrial city. Relevantly, its urban infrastructure and environment supports development of the Plant. Rustavi Metallurgical Plant was founded in 1944. Considerable investments, implementation of modern technologies and modernization of infrastructure played the huge role in rehabilitation of the plant. The core of the city's industrial activity is the Rustavi Metallurgical Plant, constructed in 1941- 1950 to process iron ore from nearby Azerbaijan. It is, at the moment, one of the most important plants in the whole state, it produces steel, colored metals, cement, liquid glass, etc. Imagine, you’re standing on history; here great Kings and Queens had walked and rested. Let’s pay tribute to this land which has seen so much of the time when fate turned its back on it and equally as much of prosperity and welfare. We were given such a tremendous possibility to see into past of our ancestors through simply imagining how they lived and walked in these very streets so let’s grasp this opportunity and enjoy it to the fullest .

Head-Orgas Being a head organizer means forsaking yourself for the session. They are chosen moths before the session, select the organizing team, and prepare to serve our expectations. So greet the Head orgas of Rustavi 3rd Regional Session— Lasha Vashakidze and Salome Kandelaki.
1. When did you first experience EYP and what were your first expressions of it? My first EYP experience was Ilia State University’s 2nd city session and to be honest I felt incomplete in some way but after that a lot changed and I enjoy every session 2. Tell us shortly how do you feel being a HO? First of all I have a big responsibility and I want to justify everyone’s hopes and second it’s really great because you are making a session that will gather a lot of youth and they’ll remember you for a long time(if it will be good session) 3. Which committee’s topic is the most interesting for you? AFET 1’s, about crisis in Syria 4. Which musical instrument do you like the most? None because I can’t play on anything 5. I’m sure you’ve been on many sessions and which is your favorite position in EYP? Mmm, I think my favorite position is delegate, because lot of people are working for you and you are obliged only to think about the problems and solutions and that’s easy, I think 6. What do you think of the Officials Team? Will they cope with their tasks well? I think that official’s team is the best on this session because 8085 % of them are experienced EYP-ers and they’ll manage to cope with their tasks at a high level 7. What is your biggest dream that you can share with people? My biggest dream is to study in Northern Ireland university of Belfast and I think I could share my knowledge gained there as a lecturer in Georgia’s some university 8. And the last one, tell something to people waiting for the session, you’re free to say anything... Accept Security Enjoy Peace Lasha Vashakidze.

1. When did you first experience EYP and what were your first expressions of it? My first session was Zugdidi 1st regional session. I was without accommodation but, I was so motivated that no one could stop me attending that session. EYP became my second family from the first day, I liked the friendly environment and clever people around me. 2. Tell us shortly how do you feel being a HO? Honestly, I love being an organizer, so it is not very difficult for me to be a HO. I have excellent organizing team, with whom I will always work with great pleasure. However, it's very tiring and sometimes I am under the pressure 3. Which committee’s topic is the most interesting for you? Personally for me, the most interesting topic is about "eastern partnership", because I have already worked on this topic, so I hope I will learn more interesting factors during the session. 4. Which musical instrument do you like the most? Drums (joking) :) 5. I’m sure you’ve been on many sessions and which is your favorite position in EYP? Yeah, I have attended lots of sessions and think that the position of journalist appeals to me mostly.
“Do not miss the chance, follow the pulse!”
6. What do you think of the Officials Team? Will they cope with their tasks well? Sure, yeah :) 7. What is your biggest dream that you can share with people? I never share my dreams with people. Dream is not for public! 8. And the last one, tell something to people waiting for the session, you’re free to say anything... Hope this session will give you something new, useful and help you achieve your goals in the future. I just advice you to be extroverted and try to be fully involved in each activity of EYP. Do not miss the chance, follow the pulse! Salome Kandelaki.

Chairpersons Take a deep breathe and get ready for the most amazing team. The team of chairs. I asked all of the chairs to answer a few questions. Let's start: The first person I'm going to introduce is Data Makashvili. Is he your favorite chair? Have you dreamed to be in his committee? I'm sure you did. How did he get involved in EYP? It happened by the accident. he followed the random link on the web (thank you, random link) Delegates listen to him and leave your complexes at home. And for the newcomers, as Data told me, EYP gives you a great opportunity to meet hot Journos. Attention, attention! When I asked Data what were his expectations for the session, he answered that Rustavi regional session will be his retirement session. ( Is Data going to leave EYP? ) Sorry for such a bad news, But here we go with the next chair, Erekle Chanchibadze. From the firs moment I started writing the article, I knew what to write about him. I was extremely afraid of him. Why? ask Erekle. How did he get involved in EYP? It happened when he was 15, he was the younger editor in history of EYP Georgia. Being Young and innocent he didn’t know anything about life. Then Zulu and Big Fat Pony taught him what a real life was like. (that's interesting) It turned out to be addictive... And now, after 3 years Erekle is a chair for the second time. Let’s continue our presentation with Veriko Devidze. I have never worked with her before, but people who know her well told me that she is one of the sweetest persons in EYP. She was the first to answer on my questions (thank you) She thinks that Chair is the person who leads every delegate into the right direction in order to show them EYP in the best perspective. This is pretty challenging and a huge responsibility. Veriko encourages each of you to enjoy, enjoy and once again enjoy every second of the session. So enjoy it! Every time I hear his name, I think about fun, farewell party and so on. In my opinion he’s one of the most creative, active and funny persons in EYP. Guess who? Giorgi Gvenetadze Our just married chair told me “ I believe this session will differ from other sessions, will be much academic-oriented, although we will manage to have fun as well. Also, the journo team is completed with brand new Officials (for example: me) so lets see what they can give us” And here is a little advice for newcomers: “EYP is a good way To get the highest nonformal education in Georgia, to express yourselves, get known with culture of team work and debates, experience a public speech.” As everyone here, Sophie Samkharadze is addicted to EYP. She started with public school session in 2010 and now she just can’t stop. And now she is chairing the committee on human right ( best committee ever ) I hope I’ll get know to her very soon. She thinks that a good chair should keep a committee very active and get all the delegates involved into discussion. She expects the session to be very energetic, mentally challenging for delegates and of course FUN. (hope her expectations will come true)

session to be very energetic, mentally challenging for delegates and of course FUN. (hope her expectations will come true). He is the most experienced EYP-er I have ever meat, Akaki Kukhaleishvili. “As for my involvement, I can say that I’m one of the oldest members of EYP Georgia. Whose introduction to this organization started in 2008 from Two weeks EYP tour to Ukraine and Belarus, which was filled with unforgettable, productive and efficient EYP Sessions, meetings and trainings. This was the first time I experienced EYP spirit and was inspired to contribute to the development of EYP Georgia.” Akaki thinks that EYP is more than attending a session; it is a style of life which makes you feel that you are an active youth, who shares the principles of democracy, volunteering and active citizenship. I would like to continue the article with introducing Mako Tirkia. For her EYP is like a big family. “If you want to be a member of this nice and big family, then come and join our community.” I asked her about most embarrassing thing that happened to her in EYP. here is her story: “At one of the EYP sessions , I had to sing at the Euro-concert and I failed. I still remember the embarrassment I felt that moment. I was on stage with my EYP friends trying to entertain audience. It still worked out though, because EYP is a lot about fun” (same thing happened to me during school session, so I know how she felt) The president of EYP Georgia, and this session. She has been my chair, has interviewed me thousand times. And every time I have to work with her, I enjoy the process. and of course, I’m talking about Mariam Chubabria. She has been EYP-er since 2009. Here is a little advice for newcomers from Mariam (listen to her, that would be useful) “This year is promising to be supper active in EYP Georgia. I am very much motivated to make the sessions academically attractive.” Here he comes, Erekle Antadze. Although He has only been participating in EYP for less than one year, his outstanding performance granted him a place in our chairs team. There is one thing that you should know about him— is dream is to study at Harvard, and He works really hard to achieve his goals. Newcomer delegates of LIBE, you are very lucky to have him as a chairperson, because he knows how to lead you and with his guidance, your committee is going to have fun along with extremely beneficial committee work.
And last but not the least, Nanuka gurgenidze. I think she’s probably fastest growing EYPer I have ever seen. Do you know why? Despite the fact that she is rally smart and talented, she is in love with EYP. I asked her about the most embarrassing thing that had happened to her, and I liked her story a lot. “well it happened to me in Romania. during GA while i was asking a question i accidentally said Hogwarts instead of Harvard. whole board and delegates where laughing 3 times straight. so I got nicknamed Hermione and my committee got to be Gryffindor”

Press Crew Imagine the most active, vigorous and creative person you’ve ever met, then add tremendous philanthropy and deftness to the character and you’ll find yourself thinking about our great editor Irakli Grdzelishvili! The most experienced member of our Press Team is the highly talented and creative Vass Khurtsilava. Even though he describes himself as stubborn and reserved, he manages to be agreeable to absolutely everyone. He is also very clever and educated, which you can tell by merely speaking to
him. (His favourite book is the best book of all times Master and Margarita by M. Bulgakov, by the way). “I have affected EYP” he answered when asked how EYP has affected his life, which is not completely humorous or untrue, as a matter of fact, as he has already participated in 14 sessions!
Rezo Chanishvili is the most generous, selfdenying and benevolent person I know. Judge yourself: he’s looking forward to getting to the age of 18, so as to… you’d think maybe to drive a car without any adult around? You’d be absolutely wrong! He wants to

As well as that, he reveres logical reasoning and, if given a chance, would kill Rahm, Japanese Shinigami in the Anime “Death Note” for slaying L- the greatest Mind of the World ever imagined, as he believes. “ To live full, happy life, try to use all chances life will give, find love, travel the world, have a personal gallery” says our gorgeous journo Anano Mikadze. She strongly enhances the progress of the world ( despite our suspicions about her anarchical tendencies, because she’d like to live in the world of Fight Club,) one means of which is joining EYP. Participants of EYP sessions are the smartest and the most active people, she explains, here people find new friends and, above all, gain invaluable experience.
Our absent-minded Beka Korshia is ambivalent about the amount of sessions he has attended however he is perfectly sure that it’s more than 10 which makes him the most experienced out of the journalists. He is studying ….. and is deeply interested in learning Arabic language some time soon.
He also takes to poetry and even though he hasn’t disclosed it to us yet, I have my suspicions that he might be writing poems himself! (If any of you might get hold of this information, inform us right away!) Oh, and the last but not the least, he secretly plans to open MYP (Megrelian
Youth Parlaiment) but shh! This is a secret operation, nobody should find out!
For Matte Dvalishvili this is the third session in EYP! He is apparently very talented just because he had achieved this, let alone any other proof. He is also very jocular, he tends to make people laugh everywhere all the time. Just like Rezo”s, L (from the “Death Note) is Mate’s favourite character because he finds him overwhelmingly interesting. He also happens to be a maximalist and an optimist, as he dexribes himself. His motto for the session is “You can’t hide… Big Brother is watching you!” so be careful! Nothing can slip his eyes.
It is really difficult to describe myself but I ( Tamri Matiashvili) can assure you that for being your journo my skills and talent are, to say the least, sufficient. I can also say that on this particular session I will embody an FBI spy… none of your secrets shall be
concealed from me, not even your deepest thoughts, regard me as omnipresent on the session because I will be such. Here, we are The Journalists and you - our preyJ)). If I could choose to live in a different reality, I’d go to
George Orwell’s 1984, in order to prove that human nature, logical reasoning and individuality can never be rooted out. In this world, fortunately, there does not seem much menace of that kind, and the greatest example is EYP itself.
