Application procedure and application form Head-Organisers 2014-2015 Application procedure: All sessions of EYP The Netherlands are organised by Head-Organisers. They constitute a team that takes care of the organisational aspects of all sessions. Supervised by the Board of EYP The Netherlands they are responsible for the realisation of the sessions, and work to, for example, promote EYP The Netherlands at new and old schools, lead the fundraising efforts, and obtain the sponsorship in kind required. The function of Head-Organiser implies a significant responsibility for the success of individual sessions, but this year the organisation of each session will also be supported by the work of all Head-Organisers who will collaborating as a team to achieve this. We are currently looking for Head-Organisers of both Preliminary Rounds and the 15th National Selection Conference of EYP The Netherlands. Head-Organisers can organise a session individually, but applying in pairs is recommended. As a Head-Organiser you will gain first-hand experience in project management, leadership roles, and the workings of a youth NGO. Furthermore, Head-Organisers play an active role in the development of the EYP The Netherlands. The board of EYP The Netherlands will consider the applications to HeadOrganise separately, and aims at coming to a selection as soon as possible. Availability Head-Organising a session of EYP The Netherlands is a significant and demanding commitment. Please give an outline of your availability in the run up to the session. Include your academic commitments, place of residence and any other significant plans you might have, such as travel plans.

Questions for those applying to Head-Organise a Preliminary Round: What do you imagine your session to be like? Please give us an outline of your vision for the session. Include where you would like it to take place, what would distinguish it from other sessions and how it would add to the increased professionalisation of EYP The Netherlands and her sessions.

Questions for those applying to Head-Organise the 15 th National Selection Conference: Venues Please give an outline of the venues you would like to include in your session:

Funds Please explain how you will ensure the financial viability of your session. Give an overview of your proposed fundraising efforts. Include the sponsors you would like to approach, and outline the budget you envision.

Leadership As the Head-Organiser of a National Selection Conference you lead a team of organisers in the realisation of the session. How would you like your team to function, and what would your role be herein?
