WORDS OF WELCOME Dear delegates and officials, welcome to the Regional Selection Conference of EYP the Netherlands. The purpose of this booklet is to provide you with a guide on how to get to the Breda! As Organising Team of Breda 2021, we will provide you with further information about the session (programme, packing list, etc.) soon, this booklet is specifically meant as a travel guide to Breda. If you have any questions or difficulties related to your travels or the session in general, please contact the Delegate Support Organiser (ruben.rosaria@eyp.nl) if you are participating as a delegate, or Officials Support Organiser (frankie.bortolussi@eyp.nl) if you will be attending the event as an official.
Shifting Lenses: planting the seeds of progress
As you know, the theme of the session is: “Shifting Lenses: planting the seeds of progress” honing Europe’s youth to have a better future. Therefore, it is very important for us to create a session that is as sustainable as possible. At the conference, we will do our best to minimise our environmental impact by means of recycling, minimising food waste and paper use, etc. However, one element of the session that also has a big environmental impact is the carbon footprint of your travelling to and from the session. So, we highly encourage you to travel sustainably! To break it down, sustainable travel is about being a responsible traveller and making smart choices in every aspect of your trip. To help you in making such choices, we have some travel tips for you.

SUSTAINABLE TRAVEL
PLANE
01.
For our international delegates and officials, we would like to urge you to not take the plane (if at all possible). It is well known that air travel is by far the most polluting mode of transportation. However, if travelling by plane is your only option, please consider choosing a more environmentally-friendly airline. For example, Ryanair is the most polluting airline in Europe, whilst EasyJet is one of the least polluting airlines.
