Andre’s Fish Den - A Fresh Approach to Business A well prepared meal coupled with fantastic customer service is how Andre’s Fish Den keeps it’s head above rough economic waves. As a small business owner who knows that there is no business without customers, Andre Smith has made his customers his priority. When people come in droves to Fort Clarence Beach, St. Catherine, they can expect to find clear, blue water, sunny skies and Smith, welcoming them with open arms, great food and a professional attitude. Smith, a self-described concessionaire of a variety of seafood, prides his business as one of the best along the coastline. With stiff competition from the free Fisherman’s Beach, more popularly known as Hellshire Beach, and the early closing time at Fort Clarence Beach, Smith understands the limitations of his business. This has, however, not deterred him from making the best of the situation, as his restaurant maintains its standard of good service and customer loyalty. One way that Smith keeps his standard high is by having National Commercial Bank (NCB) point of sales machines at his location. This is an offering that isn’t available at many other fish spots. Customers can conveniently use their debit or credit cards to purchase from his array of dishes on the menu. Smith has received kudos from his customers about this availability as it shows a level of professionalism and they no longer have to carry around their cash.
