Since 2021, our partnership with Hometree has significantly contributed to land regeneration and biodiversity enhancement. Founded in 2014, Hometree collaborates with landowners and farmers to restore woodlands. In April, our team visited Hometree’s headquarters in Ennistymon, Co. Clare, to learn about their ecological efforts and participate in activities like potting seedlings. Lucy’s advice is to start with the practicalities. “A sofa or bed is a safe haven, and you need it to be right, so do your research,” says Lucy. “Think about dimensions and your space; ask yourself will it fit, that’s the first thing. Think practically about the materials; is the fabric stain resistant? I have dogs so I would look at something like the Orson sofa with its stain resistant fabric.”

Hitting the sales can be fun and also daunting faced with so much choice, but with an expert steer you can get the perfect item for your home and budget, writes Carol O’Callaghan

Interiors enthusiasts love a furniture sale, and now is the time to invest in the piece you’ve had your eye on at the EZ Living Interiors summer sale. It’s a relaxed time of year for sales shopping, helped by bright sunshine filtering through our windows making interior projects even more appealing and the seasonal bonus of picking up a bargain for outdoors.

You can do one on Pinterest or use the room designer on our website. It means if you choose a dining table, say, the Malmo made from dark acacia wood, you can play with different chair options to see what works best.”

“With a dining table, it’s important to look at whether it’s chip resistant for a family,” she adds. “The Alexander is made from solid oak so it’s hard wearing and with a matching bench available, it’s a handy choice for extra seating space as the family grows.”

If you’re considering a new bed purchase, Lucy cites the Ashby bed frame (5ft) as a lovely choice for a modern or traditional bedroom, again, emphasising practical considerations. “If you’re looking for a bed, make sure your mattress will fit it and it fits the room.”

Practicalities, however, are only half the research before moving onto style choices and personal taste. While it’s the fun bit, it can be stymied by uncertainty if you’re not quite sure what you’re looking for and what will work with existing furniture and décor.

Split the payments of your order into monthly installments. Simply pick the pieces that you love, select ‘Apply for Finance’ at the checkout on our website or bring all of the required documentation to your nearest EZ Living Interiors store where a member of our expert sales team will be happy to assist you in filling out your application. Once your application has been approved, we can then arrange for your brand new item(s) to be delivered to your home after 14 working days. You can choose to make the payments over 6 months up to 36 months depending on the total amount. T&C’s Apply.

Am I Eligible?

You need to be between the ages of 18 and 85 years old, a resident of Northern Ireland for the last 3 years minimum and have a regular source of income that adheres to the following criteria: full time employment, part time employment (up to 16 hours per week), self employed, retired or in receipt of disability allowance. You are eligible for Creation finance if you fit the criteria. Please make sure to bring the relevant documents if you are applying for finance in our stores.

What Happens Next?

After applying for finance, your request will be processed by our finance provider, Creation, who deny or approve the request based on information provided by the Credit Bureau (CB). A 20% deposit, correct documentation and the eligibility criteria are required.

Once your application has been approved, a cooling-off period of 14 days applies. Following this, a member of the EZ Living team will arrange a delivery date that is convenient for you.
