Make a Dave Pigeon Mask
Fan of Swapna Haddow and Sheena Dempsey’s Dave Pigeon? Get the World Book Day look with this mask and easy instructions! You will need: • Scissors • String Instructions: 1. Ask an adult to help you cut out the mask. Using your scissors cut out the mask along the dotted lines.
2. To make your mask extra firm, glue the mask onto some card from an empty cereal box and cut around it again. Don’t forget to cut out the eyes too! 3. Make a small hole on the tab on each side of the mask. 4. Push a piece of string through both holes and secure with a knot. 5. Don’t forget to make sure that your piece of string is long enough to go around your head.
Complete the look! Use a bandage or a white cloth to create a sling for your arm/wing. Do this for the hand you use less often (e.g. if you are right handed make the sling for your left hand) so you can still play, colour and write.
