Dress Up like Picklewitch from Claire Barker’s Picklewitch & Jack
You will need: • Black A3 paper or card x2 • Glue • Leaves (optional) • Orange ribbon/fabric • Pencil • Scissors Instruction: Make a witch’s hat: 1. Take one sheet of black paper or card, fold it into the shape of a cone and glue into place. Remember to make the base wide enough to sit on your head. 2. Once dry, use your scissors to make 1.5 cm
cuts along the bottom of the cone and bend the flaps up. We will use this later to attach the brim of the hat. 3. Place the cone in the middle of your second sheet of black paper or card. Make sure that the flaps are facing outwards. 4. Draw a circle around the cone and flaps and then put the cone to one side. Then draw a larger circle around the one you have just made. It can be as wide as you like. 5. To make your brim, cut around the larger circle and then cut out the small circle in the middle. 6. Go back to your cone and glue the flaps on the side that is facing up towards you.
7. Slide down the brim of the hat over the top of the cone and attack to the flaps. Leave to dry 8. Colour in the leaves (they can be as colourful as you want) and cut them out 9. Glue the leaves onto the hat and place to the side to dry. Top Tip: You could also try gluing some real leaves onto the hat 10. Take your orange ribbon and tie it around the base of the cone. Complete the look: Wear the hat with a white shirt, black trousers/ skirt, stripy tights and a black blazer.
