Is it possible to create collaborative art in quarantine? It turns out the answer is yes - it just takes a lot more work and caution. For our fourth Autumn collection created during COVID, we worked in multiple micro-teams instead of the larger single group photoshoot we normally do. We shipped pieces to Austin, where husband and wife team Patrick Hurst and Sara Boswell worked with an assistant within their quarantine pod to shoot on at the beautiful Carrington. In Seattle, we made an elaborate divided outdoor changing room, and photographer Priya Alahan and myself worked with models from 6' distances in masks. In Portland, Erin Belisle and Katie Scarlett masked up to visit Portland locations, shooting from 6' distances while Katie's quarantine partner created makeshift changing rooms.
The result is different from our normal books - it is a very different collaboration along a single theme. But as usual, all pieces will be available for purchase at fabgabs.com
