New Product Development
Designing a new shaver solution for the Google Brand. A compelling product that is inline with Googles brand. Problem:
A OBM manufacturer contacted Air Design in request to develop and design a product that would be both in-line with Googles brand as well as create a value proposition that is in-line with Google’s customers.
Solution:
A 3D shaver that allows the user to remove all facial hair before re-applying any desired facial hair printed through special fabric.

Organizational Structures and Processes Designing a new organizational structure for the grading process at Design Management International Problem:
The Design Management program is ferly new and therefore has many organizational issues with specifics into its grading process. Often students don’t receive their grade feedback on time or at all.
Solution:
Re-constructing the organizational structure giving the students more authority in the system. Putting the “customer” at the top and allowing them to analyse the performance of the lecturers would stream lime the system. It also allows for direct feedback to the head of departments as well as a larger intrinsic motivation to the lecturers.

5.3. NEW PROCESS The process starts simultaneously by all three of the main stakeholders, the MCs, lecturers and students. The lecturers start by creating a grading criteria by which they will grade and assess their students as well as deciding on how much each assignment is weighted. Meanwhile the MCs start by weighting the individual courses within their module. Once the MC has calculated the different weighting percentages of the courses he/she will input it into the new IT system so it can automatically calculate module grades in the future. The students begin by creating a contract they will use to create a mutual agreeance on culture, appreciation, commitment and awareness of grading importance with the lecturers. At the beginning of each new course the students will sit down and discuss the contract with the lecturer to make sure both parts are on the same page and that an agreement is made. Once the contract is signed and the lecturer has introduced the syllabus and assessment methods to the students, the two stakeholders discuss the time the lecturer is allocated to grade the assignments. If the students and lecturers feel the grading may take longer than 2 weeks (the standardized assessment time) they can decide on a time together as the students have the authority to extend the time. Once the set grading time is agreed upon, the student representative of the class will have to input the due date and feedback date into the new IT system. After the students hand in the assessments and have been graded by the lecturer within the given time frame, the lecturer must import the % of the specific assessment and grades into the IT system. As long as the lecturers complete their tasks on time, the students will receive a notification on their IT system interface informing them of the new grade. Within the IT system the student will be able to request further feedback if desired. As long as the task is completed on time by the lectures the following steps get repeated for each assessment and each course. Thereafter the process continues with the IT system automatically calculating grade courses, students getting notified of their grade courses and then module grades getting calculated. In the event that the lecturers do not complete the grading task on time, the students have the opportunity to address the lecturers concerning the delay and finding a viable solution. If no changes happen and the lecturer continuous to ignore deadline dates the students have the authority to bring the issue further to JEB, the highest authority within the grading system. (Appendix on page 38-39)
5.4. IMPLEMENTATION AND EVALUATION Benefits: • More control over bottlenecks (Lecturers) • Students are involved in the process, helping create products (grades) they care about • “The only people that can change something are the students” (Stated by Ms.Moor) • The culture, appreciation, commitment and awareness is enhanced in mutual agreement through the use of the contract. • Awareness of how important grades are to students is shown through action rather than just talking about it. Potential problems: • Possible lecturer resistance • Integration of new students to the system could be time consuming and to unfamiliar to them • Students don’t complete their dedicated tasks • The IT system could experience technical problems (Appendix on page 40)
Strategic Design Planning
Analyse and adapt the business model of Modul - a culture advertisement agency in Luzern - to fit the customers needs and wants. Problem:
Modul is an advertisement agency based in Central Switzerland. They offer cultural events and shops in the area a channel to target their direct demographics. Their main point-of-distribution has been flyering in the bars in Luzern. This has become an out-dated process and is in-coherent with the users.
Solution:
After understanding the demographics needs and wants it was understood that the innovation must come from the offerings and reflect on the rest of the business. In this a new offering was created that was more in-line with the digital native generation.

Innovation Planning Project
Designing a solution that prolongs the period which elderlies must move to retirement homes. Problem:
There is no solution that allows elderlies to remain in their own home while proactively helping to withstand their health. Solutions are limited to Spitex and Retirement homes which are costly and often do not help.
Solution:
A smartphone app called the GoldenPurpose. The app aims to bring purpose back to the elderlies as a lack of purpose is the largest reason for decrease in health. This is done by creating a shared economy where the elderly can share their skills, and physical spaces in hope of achieving goals.
