I’m Fabio Casirati a young architect from Milan (IT). I studied Sustainable Architecture in both bachelor and Master Degree at Politecnico of Milano and, after an erasmus experience at BTU (Berlin), I graduated in December 2015 with 110/110 grade. After that, I started a period of work at Disstudio first and later with Quinzii Terna Architects, working on projects for competitions, building and design of the product, which also led to collaboration with the firm Stefano Boeri Architects for the “Green River” Scali Milano Project. Even if the things I’ve learned in this experience are countless, I’m in search of a much bigger stage for my career, where I can grow and learn even more! This why I’ve sent you this completely free all-access pass for my tour of Hire-Me City! With this pass you’ll be able to learn everything about this great city, its historic development, see its most iconic buildings and hopefully have a chance to understand the spirit and the nature of the great man who founded it! (which is me of course!) Sit back and relax while we drive you through the best experience you’ll ever have! Fabio Casirati

I know, I know..it’s a pretty tall building for a small city like HMC, but soon we are going to fill every storey of it, trust me! By now we can find: 2014. Best BTU Urban Design Andrejala Riga Project - Finalist 2016. PINArchitecture Graphic Design - 3rd 2016. Morbegno Urban Design Competition with Quinzii Terna Architect - 2nd 2016. Jarfalla Gate Competition - Finalist 2017. Aviapolis Competition (QTA) - Mention

In HMC everything started with this building whose construction begun with the Bachelor Architecture Degree at Politecnico di Milano (2010-2013). The Erasmus Program at BTU Cottbus-Berlin (2013-2014) helped develope of the Master Degree at Politecnico di Milano (2013-2015) in Envinromental Architecture, ended with the grades of 110/110. Succesfully passed Architecture Abilitation Exam (2016).

People of HMC enjoy researching, writing and sharing about different topics: “Earth Plaster Boards Research” (Thesys) for Chambre Convention with Prof. S. Sabbadini and Prof. G. Dotelli, “Our World Lies” on platform issuu.

The city also has a superhero called @fabcaso active on social media where he posts super-stuff and helps NBA, 7League, Aquila Basket Trento, “Brevi Storie Tristi”, “NBA Religion” and “La Giornata Tipo” spread happiness and laughs with his mutant graphic design abilities!

Here in HMC we love experimenting with our knowledge! A lot of exhibition are held here, to show what we have learned during: ANAB Workshops “Japanese Earth Plaster” (2015) and “Earth Migaki Design” (2016); Politecnico di Milano “Design Week: Atmospheres 1-2”; Mendrisio Architcture Accademy “Isola dei Conigli Design Project”.

We are now entering the tallest skyscraper of the city, where our best projects are always exposed! Are you excited? GREEN RIVER Competition Project with Stefano Boeri Architects+QTA Milan, Italy 2016-2017 Rhino, Illustrator, Photoshop

The Green River Project is part of a competition on invitation organized by the municipality of Milan and Trenitalia, where multidisciplinary groups have the goal to reinvent the usage of the unused railaways of the city, creating a new reality for the metropolis.

The Green River creates a ring across the city, where trains, slow mobility and nature can flourish along the new circle line, generating a new infostructure for the city. The 90% of the ancient railways will be converted in green spaces, and only 10% will be destinate to new residential towers and mixed-use building with green surfaces and facades.

The very different sections of the train line have been studied in order to understand the path of the green river, wich will have different width, ups and downs and of course a lot of plants and flowers alongside the train railway, the cycle and pedestrian line.

In this competition we were asked to define an urban block for the city of Aviapolis. By doing so, we created a very hurban environment on the edges of the block, with a natural core, with park and water. This concept is also applied to the court buildings that defines the block.

Every court will be designed by different architects, which will define only a small part of the building, in order to recreate the traditional european boulevard, where buildings are different from each other, creating a mixed and rich environment.

In the middle of the park, between the regoularity of the court buildings, the organic shape of the Atomi Building is designed to serve as a kindergaden, school with library, cafeteria, auditorium and indoor and outdoor sports facilities.

HUY/HUB EUROPAN 14 Competition Project with QTA Huy, Belgium 2017 Rhino, Cinema 4D+Vray, Illustrator, Photoshop

The project defines an approach of re-use and quality densification in order to construct the new Hub of the city, a place of functional innovation, urban complexity, rich memory. The project proposes a sequence of public spaces that accompanies the natural and artificial fluxes, by the definition of three new plazas as different stages for the architectural scene, where human events will take action.

LOGIN GATE Jarfalla Login Gate Competition | FINALIST Jarfalla, Finland 2016 Rhino, Cinema 4D+Vray, Illustrator, Photoshop

FIN

The circle light plate is a real-life login gate, where people with smartphones are able to connect and interact with the public space to create a special atmosphere. With the shape of the ancient sites, its aim is to synchronize the on-line community with real space, extending the perception of the screen to an allaround experience.

The traditional social function of Järfälla’s Folkets Park can now revive by downloading the app which will enable users to interact with the system of the plate with messages and personal light shows played nearby the detected devices, thanks to the technology of bluetooth beacon sensors.

EARTH ARCHITECTURE Master Thesis Project Single Project, 2015 Earth, Clay, Hemp, Working Tools

Inside my Master Thesis project, I conduct a research on plaster boards made by bio-ecological matherials such as: earth, hemp fibers, kenaf fibers, bamboo rod, cardboard rod and linena nets. Creating different prototypes, I was able to test them in order to reach a better definition of the recipe and develop a pre-industrial fully ecological clayboard, as a valid alternative to traditional dry-wall.

The boards use and application has been investigate in the project of restoration and expansion of the ancient farm Cascina Agosti, with the creation of an abacus of usage in both restoration and ex-novo constructions. The project also featured a re-agriculturisation of the field for production of officinal herbs.

PERMANET FORM PIN Architecture Competition | 3rd PRIZE Webstite and Social Medias, 2016 Illustrator, Photoshop

3RD

Imagine a world where the form of will last forever, with no decay and alteration of time. How will architecture look like? How will it be declined? This image is my personal answare to these question, and shows in a very enigmatic and distopic way how the whole essence of nature will be alterated in case of the permanence of the form.

GRAPHIC CONNECTION Graphic Design for Social Medias, Avatars and App 2016-2017 Illustrator, Photoshop

Most of Architects have always been painters and in nowadays society, vector graphics can be considered artworks exposed, like canvas, in digital socialmedia galleries. During the years I’ve created a lot of connections with NBA, developed an app, designed avatars, stripes and more as @fabcaso

We’ve arrived at the top of this beautifull building, where we have this awesome view of Hire-Me City! Take your time to take pictures of the skyline before going away. I hope you’ve enjoied the tour, for me it’s been a real pleasure, I’ll be sitting here in case you’ll want to join me for further talks about Hire-Me City. Fabio Casirati
