THE MAKING OF OMAR ORTEZ ORIGINALS
The Omar Ortez tobacco tradition was born in Estelí Nicaragua, in 1967, when now great-grandfather Don Ramon Ortez started working on farms owned by Cuban farmers who had emigrated there from Cuba in 1959. This was the beginning of our integration into the tobacco world. With his dedication to knowledge and the passion that he demonstrated for tobacco, he went from being a worker to directing the farm. This perseverance was the opportunity that allowed him to learn the secrets of tobacco and to set the path for future generations.
