The heads feature Fast As Cast® runners that provide near-CNC-ported performance and airflow at ordinary cast head prices The exhaust runners are raised .100"" from the stock location to improve the short turn radius and dramatically improve exhaust flow. Trick Flow engineers combined the best features of factory GM LS3 and LS7 cylinder heads with their own race-winning engineering and technology to create the ultimate square port LS cylinder head for 4.000" and larger bore engines—the GenX® 255. Trick Flow GenX 255 heads feature fully CNC Competition Ported runners with a premium high resolution surface finish for maximum airflow and performance potential.

The valve angles have been changed from 15° to 12° to increase piston-to-valve clearance and allow the use of larger camshafts. The coolant holes through the head deck were redesigned to work with all LS head gasket and engine block combinations. Stock LS3 ports accommodate LS3-style intake manifolds and LS9/LSA blower assemblies. Trick Flow GenX 255 heads are available with standard or 6-bolt per cylinder mounting patterns.

Trick Flow High Port® 192 cylinder heads are among the most dominant aftermarket small block Ford heads in racing. They feature unique valve spacing, .750" raised exhaust runners, extra strong castings and thick decks for additional rigidity and gasket integrity, superior cooling characteristics, and most importantly, excellent airflow. The large Fast As Cast® runners duplicate the profiles of CNC-ported heads to create ultra-high flowing heads without costly CNC-porting. The entry into the intake runner has been reshaped to help seal the area along the port roof and thicker port walls increase strength and provide more material for porting. Plus, interlocking ductile iron seats are used to handle the stresses of high heat, high horsepower applications. Our black nitride process offers a surface finish that is smoother than chrome stem valves while having less friction. We also harden the valve, allowing for improved longevity.

Our Inconel / Nimonic valves are made to withstand higher temperatures than our high performance valves. This is particularly important when upgrading to a turbo or forced induction as it is necessary to user the proper material (Inconel / Nimonic) in order to prevent warping of the valve.
