Today’s cams have more aggressive lobes. Increasing oil supply to these lobes is critical. A precision “E.D.M.” laser burns a .021” hole in the center of the face of the lifter. This allows a constant oil supply to the cam lobe, allowing higher valve spring pressures, more aggressive profiles and reduced lobe wear.

The most important product for proper flat tappet camshaft break-in available. This is true for both hydraulic and mechanical flat tappet camshafts. Virtually eliminates cam and lifter wear at initial break-in. Replaces the Zinc-Phosphates (ZDDP) removed from today’s oils. The highest levels of Zinc-Phosphates (ZDDP) of all the popular brands IN OILERS tested, plus the addition of moly for extra protection. Compatible with all petroleum base and synthetic oils. Just add one 4 ounce bottle for up to 6 quarts of oil.

Heat treated stainless steel link bars. Case hardened 8620 rollers fitted with the best alloy bearings and pins. Hydraulic lifters should never be pumped up with oil before installation.This will cause the valve lifter plunger to “top out” rather than it’s normal operating height, giving you incorrect valve adjustment. This incorrect pre-load will cause excessive valve train noise, rough idle and can cause severe engine damage.

Several factors affect timing, and poor timing equals poor performance. To be precise and get the max from your cam, you need to degree your camshaft. Howards Cams degree wheel kits are easy to read and use, as well as economical. These steel 9 in. degree wheels have high-contrast black numbers on a white background and can be easily cleaned. Howards Cams degree wheel kits include a storage case to keep them handy when you need them. For precision timing and performance, you'll need Howards Cams degree wheel kits.

OIL PUMPS By MAHLE A MAHLE Original速 oil pump should be the heart of every engine rebuild. MAHLE Original replacement oil pumps are functionally equivalent to OEM-type specifications for oil flow and pressure. Every one is pre-lubricated and cycle tested with oil to insure that it meets performance requirements. In fact, documented test results show that MAHLE Original oil pumps produce up to 5 PSI more oil pressure than competitive brands under the same operating conditions. Nearly all MAHLE Original oil pumps use cast iron housings to offer better wear life and minimize clearance changes resulting from varying engine-operating temperatures. Cover plates are made of heat-treated, high-grade cast iron. Pump shafts are produced from fatigue resistant, high-strength alloy steel. REV KITS

Our Rev Kits are designed for roller cam applications to increase valve train stability throughout the RPM range. In addition to increasing RPM capability, rev kits will also keep the lifter in the lifter bore in the event of valve train failure. The locator bars and lifter buttons are made of the highest quality aluminium and then anodised for protection. Each kit is complete with locator bars, springs, and lifter buttons.

Designed to increase the strength and rigidity of the rocker arm studs by eliminating flex and thereby assuring true rocker arm ratios. Howards™ stud girdles are made from the highest quality aluminium. They are springloaded for easy removal and include locking hex head adjusters. A must for all competition engines not using shaft rockers

These are an economy-based timing set using Rolon full roller timing chain and single keyway crank sprockets. They are exactly the same sprockets and materials as used in the Premium sets but without the frills. These offer an entirely different approach to the market share including the engine reconditioning sector or budget minded customers. Blue Label sets come with a brass shim only if applicable to that set, no Torrington’s or heat treatment is applied to these sets. RED LABEL PREMIUM AND EXTRA PREMIUM TIMING SETS:

All Red Label timing sets are produced using billet steel for both the crank and camshaft sprockets. Premier sets are nitride hardened and include a one-piece Torrington and Iwis chain. Red label sets come with 7 or 9 crankshaft keyway sprockets depending on crankshaft diameter. Rollmaster timing sets are light weight and stronger than any other timing set available due to the weight savings of billet steel and CNC machinery. No additional machining is required to fit these sets or the need for offset bushings or drilling of cam gears. All Red Label timing sets come standard with Rollmaster’s own premium grade Iwis full roller timing chain. VERNIER GOLD ROLLMASTER TIMING KIT

Vernier timing sets are an upgrade on our premium timing sets. Because the cam sprocket is produced in two parts it allows the outer sprocket section to move separately and independently to the inner hub by way of elongated slots, allowing infinite adjustment to cam timing just by positioning the camshaft to the required degrees then locking the socket head screws around the perimeter which clamps the entire unit together as one solid cam sprocket.
