Mits Evo 2003-2006 Race Balancer ATI has designed a 6.325” damper -- Part # 918250 -- for the Mitsubishi Evolution VIII & IX 4G63 for high horsepower street & race use. This new design is a direct replacement for the stock OEM damper. The heart of this unit is the tried and true “damper within a damper” design that has put ATI ahead of the rest. The outer shell is machined to utilize the factory serpentine belt set-up and mounts to the factory crank via a custom hub which replaces the stock timing gear. The damper’s outer diameter is 12% larger than OEM. The factory lower timing cover will need to be trimmed for hub clearance.

MLS gaskets are ideal for both aluminum heads to aluminum blocks and aluminum heads to cast iron blocks. They can withstand the shearing force created by the two materials. MLS gaskets have increased strength because they are comprised of multiple layers of stainless steel; which also creates the ability to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton (a flouroelastomer rubber based material that is heat resistant to 250 C/ 482 F). Viton is designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions, and surface finishes.
