FABRICATED FRAME

I’m Jo, sculptural weaver and digital craft maker. Right now, I'm a PhD candidate in the Centre for Timber Futures at the University of Queensland. My practice research PhD explores the relationship between Japanese bamboo weaving, architecture and material computation. I trained as an architect and recently finished a City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Creative Techniques in Textiles (Basketry), the last vocational course of its kind in the UK. I'm working on a range of hybrid craft prototypes that may be of interest to artists, architects and trans-disciplinary thinkers. If you share my passion please get in touch via my website.
