Acclaimed actress Diane Keaton steps out of her dressing room and enters stage left, donning her signature white turtleneck and trousers with a creamcolored duster jacket and chunky white loafers with a black sole. She walks over to the barstool and admires its texture, running her hands over its plush pile. She requests that the music be switched to something she can move more freely to, like Justin Bieber. She smiles, quips sarcastically, and switches into character for her latest portrayal: Textile Maven.

An endless sea of blinding white walls seamlessly curving into the floor are dotted with five furniture and fabric scenes inside a brightly lit photo studio in Culver City. Classic rock plays in the background as photo equipment gets placed and painters tape marks camera angles and secures cords that read "Do Not Move." Bolts of fabric have been rolled out of frame. A spotlight illuminates a handsome barstool upholstered in velvety-soft black mohair whose sheen appears silver or onyx depending on the light.

LANDING THE PART
We know and love Diane Keaton for her quirky starring roles in iconic films like “Annie Hall,” “Baby Boom,” “Something’s Gotta Give,” “The Godfather” and countless others. But for her, the quest for the limelight began when she was just a child, watching her mother be crowned Mrs. Los Angeles. It was at that moment she knew she wanted to be part of the alluring and glamorous world of performing. Since then she’s lived at Hollywood’s center for close to four decades as a storyteller, beating to her own drum and captivating audiences one line at a time. That’s why our collaboration with her — a first for the Academy and Golden Globe Award-winning actress — was composed in a way that pays tribute to her personal and professional journey.

HOMES THAT TELL A STORYTHE COLLECTION
Woven into each carefully crafted, hyper-textured fabric is a piece of a puzzle that chronicles Diane’s artistic expression—told through the lens of design. Along with S. Harris Chief Brand Officer and Creative Director Jodi Finer, the pair dreamed up a sartorial collection of textiles that exemplifies restraint and honors simplicity as the foundation of an interior. With a shared reverence for home, they created a palette that speaks to a state of calm, casting materiality as their lead with strong and luxuriously thick fibers that yearn to be lived in.
