Two of the world’s largest sailing yachts, Eos and Athena, have booked the same timing for their coming refit projects with Royal Huisman’s refit division.

The 93m / 305ft three-masted Lürssen schooner Eos, until recently the world’s largest sailing yacht, has for some time been a regular customer for Royal Huisman’s superyacht refit division, Huisfit. The Eos team has just signed a new contract with Huisfit, taking full advantage of the flexible choice of deep-water location offered to meet their needs and schedule.

At the same time, the Huisfit team has announced that the 90m / 295ft three-masted schooner Athena, built by Royal Huisman in 2004 and with a seriously impressive log book of globe-circling adventures, has reserved the same timing for her latest refit programme. In 2014 the Huisfit team also took care of various aesthetic and technical updates by sending its own ’flying squad’ of specialist personnel out to Athena during a stopover in the Mediterranean.

Both yachts will be at a deep seawater location in Holland for several months during the winter “refit season”.

“There can be little doubt that returning clients are always a shipyard’s best ambassador,” Huisfit’s Bert Tromp said. “So we are particularly pleased that this announcement concerns two of the world’s largest and most prestigious sailing yachts – both of them long term Huisfit clients. Not only that, but we will have the privilege of working on the world’s 5th and 6th largest sailing yachts at the same time, which is quite an accolade for Huisfit.”

The Sunreef 80 and Sunreef 60 – two yachts belonging to the shipyard’s allnew sailing range are to make their official international debut at the show as well as the head-spinning 40 Open Sunreef Power Diamond Edition. The Sunreef Supreme 68 Power and Sunreef 74 are also to join the shipyard’s Cannes Yachting Festival 2018 lineup for what is going to be a unforgettable showcase.

The Sunreef 80

THE SUNREEF 74

THE SUNREEF SUPREME 68 POWER

Named Nomis this spectacular power catamaran with 300m2 of living space features a full-beam master suite with private access to the yacht’s bow terrace. One of her key features besides the great semi-open saloon is the aft garage accommodating for the dinghy, water toys and jet ski. Nomis is the latest launch of the top-selling Sunreef Supreme 68 Power model.

80 Sunreef Power

The Cannes Yachting Festival 2018 will also give Sunreef Yachts the opportunity to present a scale-model of its new 80 Sunreef Power concept – a universal multihullyacht for long cruises in ultimate comfort.
