Rhea’s role has two sides, one being the management of investments, which requires continuous analysis of the markets, and the individual securities and funds that are invested in. The best pieces of advice you've been given?

Do not compare yourself to anyone else. You are individual and therefore you need personal goals with a timeframe suitable for you. I think this has become increasingly important given social media, as it is easy to judge yourself when you see the personal and career achievements of others.

What is the significant milestone in your career so far?

Having my daughter. I had feared that on announcing my pregnancy, my career would disintegrate. In fact, the opposite happened, and I received a promotion when I was pregnant! What has remained constant is my ambition and drive, what has changed is that I have broadened my skillset by being more empathetic and I am quicker at making decisions (I don’t have the time to mull over the trivial details!).

Have you had any female mentors that have helped you?

Not necessarily for my role, but throughout my career I have been lucky to have some fantastic mentors and champions (too many to name, but they should know who they are!). These people haven’t always been formal mentors, but individuals who have taken the extra time to coach me in my role, agreed to meet me for a catch up, or to have a call at a time when I needed it.

I am a great believer in paying things forward and having truly appreciated the time people have given me in the past, so I will make the effort if someone reaches out for a chat.

You have a girls dinner party and can invite any females from any point in time, who would you have and what would you serve?

(Baroness) Helena Morrissey, Sandi Toksvig, Amelia Earhart, my mum, and Jane Fonda. If you count fictional characters, Villanelle would be an interesting guest. I would serve spaghetti alle vongole with an Italian white.
