The Project was to upgrade the existing control system of the diesel fire water pump to Siemens S7-315 PLC module with SIL-1 rating for control logic and annunciator. All the existing cables had to be replaced by new cables as per the latest specification & standards of ZADCO. All equipments and connectors which was defective had to be identified and replaced. All construction drawings & documents had to be prepared and submitted for ZADCO approval. The Control system with the panel was supplied by Metron Eledyne, UK & Metro Mac has carried out the complete scope of detail engineering, procurement & construction including the final documentation.

GASCO awarded the job to Metromac for executing the following activities: Installation of concrete foundation for seal oil system, relocation of seal oil system along with electrical and instrument equipment, fabrication and installation of piping with necessary testing, Hot tapping on the existing line for bearing, relocation of water cooler. Metromac was responsible for the following: • Identifying the suitable location for installing the seal oil system where it can reduce the number bends on the seal inlet line which produce the required pressure on the Seal gland to seal the leak. • Installation of Concrete foundation for Seal Oil System. • Dismantling of existing seal oil system and installing on the new concrete foundation.
• Modifying of water cooler, originally it was located at the bottom of seal Oil system during modification it was replaced/lifted up 500 mm above from the seal gland. • Dismantling of electrical and instrument equipment from the seal oil system and reinstalled on the relocated Seal Oil system. • Hot tapping works was carried out on the existing line which supplying the cooling water to the bearing arrangement.
• Using the site survey measurement Pipeline line fabrication, testing and painting was carried out which complies with GASCO requirement and the same were installed between the seal oil system to the pump

A dry gas seal Control System and dry gas seals have been installed to replace existing oil seals used in lean hydro carbon gas reinjection at GASCO, Habshan facility in the UAE. The intent of the upgrade is to decrease impact on the environment to as low as technically possible, and to increase reliability of the compressor train. Unit 91C101 & 92C101 was carried out as subcontractor for M/s John Crane Middle East and 94C101 & 95C101 was carried out as subcontractor for M/s Flowserve Gulf. Major scope was preparation of Isometric drawings, Excavation and backfilling of cable trenches, Civil foundation works, Installation of skids, Fabrication and installation of High pressure piping till 480 bar, Installation of tubing, piping and tubing hook up works, Modification of heater control panels, laying and termination of Electrical and Instrumentation cables. All jobs were carried out as per GASCO procedure and standards.

Rolling Mill Construction for Siemens in USI Fujairah, UAE Combined production plant will produce rebar’s, rods and wire coils. Total capacity will be up to 950,000 tons of structural steel per annum The steel plant comprise a bar mill for rebar’s and a wire-rod line, which will be able to produce both rods and wire coils. The merchant-bar line consist of 21 rolling stands, a heat-treatment system, a 120 meter cooling bed, as well as machines for counting, bundling and binding the bars. The maximum rolling speed will be 16 meters per second. The diameters of the rods range from 10 to 40 millimetres. The wire rod mill reaches speeds of up to 105 meters per second. It will be able to produce either rods or wire coils, with diameters ranging from 5.5 to 16 millimetres. The equipment to be supplied by Siemens includes a ten-stand mono-block finishing mill, pinch rolls, the laying head, a cooling conveyor, and machines for forming and compacting coils. The plant is designed to crop and cut the end products to size on both rolling lines. The plant also has a dedicated water treatment plant of approximately 2,000 m3/h capacity, and a compressed air station of approximately 2,500 Nm3/h capacity. All the electrical part is supplied by Siemens, including the power equipment with over 40 MW of motors and drives, and automation equipment with PLCs, HMIs, and Siroll packages.

The purpose of these barges were to compress the flash gases from the wells to be injected back at high pressure of about 700 bar. DolWin Beta DolWin beta will be built for a large wind farm cluster in the German sector of the North Sea. It will receive alternating current from wind farms, and convert it into direct current before sending it onshore via subsea cables. The dimension of the platform is 100.1 metres by 74.1 metres. It will be 83-metre tall with accommodation and outfits and weigh 20,000 metric tonnes approximately. The platform can generate 900 MW power and can receive electricity from three wind farms, or a total of 240 turbines. Metro Mac was appointed as E&I Field Operation Consultants by ABB on this project

GOLPHINHO Module 51 is a part of Vessel FPSO CIDADE DE VITORIA. This vessel is built in 1976 and it is converted in 2008-2009 at DRYDOCKS-WORLD, Dubai. It’s max. oil productivity is 100,700 bopd, water production is 50,350 bwpd, De-sulphated water injection is 138,500 bwpd, max. gas productivity is 118 mmscfd, Max. gas flare is 150 mmscfd peak emergency and 87 mmscfd max. Continuous Gas compression is 122 mmscfd and Flare type is smokeless. 3 gas turbo generators and one steam turbo generator are included in this vessel. Crude storage capacity is 1,900,000 bbls and Slop tanks capacity is 110,000 bbls Metro Mac worked as a sub-contractor to Lamprell to carry out Erection, cable laying, glanding and termination of all panels in LER, Instrument Room and Transformers in Transformer room and Batteries in Battery room. Installation of F & G instruments, PA/GA instruments and its cable laying, glanding, termination and calibration. Installation of Instrument tubing jobs which includes high pressure lines & hydraulic lines to about ½” inch SS tubes. After the construction Metro Mac carried out the pre-commissioning test for these installations. The construction activities were carried out at Dry Docks World- Dubai.

The ‘FPSO FRADE’ is moored by an internal turret able to accommodate 33 risers and has topsides capacity for the production of 100,000 barrels of oil treatment and compression of 106 million standard cubic feet of gas, and treatment and injection of 150,000 barrels of water per day. The ‘FPSO FRADE’ is the most complex system the SBM has supplied in terms of topsides facilities with project duration of 36 months from signing of the contract in 2006. Metro Mac worked as a sub-contractor to SBM to carry out Instrument tubing jobs & electrical termination jobs for the topside which includes high pressure lines & hydraulic lines to about 1 inch SS tubes. After the construction Metro Mac carried out the pre-commissioning test for these installations. The construction activities were carried out at Dry Docks World- Dubai.

The entire project is built in line with the specific Norwegian regulations for offshore units which include among others the DNV regulations, NORSOK requirements, NMD and PSA. The main scope of the works is the 55 person accommodation in MOPU STOR which includes the 55 single bedrooms, all with adjacent private bathroom, the luxury galley and dining room, lounges, exercise rooms, changing rooms with Sauna facility, a laundry, a hospital facility, the MOPU STOR Central Control room facility and several other common facilities. The accommodation is fitted with all the regular utilities like a full HVAC system, normal and emergency power distribution systems, LAN, TV and telephone network and of course the required F&G detection and fire fighting and loss control provisions. On top of the accommodation an aluminium helicopter deck with required fire fighting systems etc. is fitted. The overall dimensions of the building are approx. 36 mtr (l) x 13 mtr (w) x 22 mtr (h) and a weight of approx. 1100 ton. Metro Mac carried out the Electrical & instrumentation scope of work in the accommodation including the pre-commissioning activities.

POLARCUS SAMUR is an ultra-modern, high ice class, multipurpose vessel designed for both 6 streamer 3D seismic and for wide azimuth source operations. Built to the ULSTEIN SX133 design and incorporating the innovative ULSTEIN X-BOW® hull, this vessel combines the latest developments in maritime systems with the most advanced seismic and source technology commercially available. The vessel is also amongst the most environmentally sound seismic vessels in the market with diesel-electric propulsion, high specification catalytic converters, double hull and advanced ballast water treatment / bilge water cleaning systems. This vessel complies with the stringent DNV CLEAN DESIGN notation. Metro Mac has been awarded the complete electrical & Instrumentation Installation scope. Metro Mac was the only contractor in the whole project of 6 seismic vessel, who received the complete scope of an activity from Dry Docks World -Dubai.
