Beyond compare
Welcome to Fænø Estate This is where architecture, nature, art and gastronomy merge to create a magical atmosphere. A discrete sanctuary – beyond compare.
Fænøgård The privately owned island Fænø in the northern part of the Small Belt is home of Fænøgård. In combination with the nature of the island the setting provides a contemporary interpretation of the atmosphere of a classic mansion. In these unique environs - with modern architecture, art, and design - we organise party events, conferences, and exclusive dinners. Or just a discrete stay.
An exclusive sanctuary Fænø belongs to our guests so long as they are on the island. Consideration, discretion and efficiency are the keywords that characterise the service that greets guests at Fænø. Here, in the private environs of the estate you will feel at home.

Guest houses At various places around the island, the estate’s four individually designed guest houses lie – embraced by nature. Each in a style of its own. The shooting lodge Bakkehuset, the high-ceilinged Skovløkken, the island’s newly renovated and still working lighthouse from year 1900 – and Smedehuset overlooking the Small Belt.

Following the millennium, about 700,000 trees and bushes divided onto more than 30 different species have been planted at Fænø. All of the island’s 400 undulating hectares are today classified as forest reserve – resulting in a deafening silence and an extraordinarily rich wild life.
