Anthony braves the shave!

We couldn’t be prouder of our Class One Professional Driver, Anthony McConnell - who has raised an incredible £1,330 for Macmillan Cancer Support by daring to ‘brave the shave’ on the 30th of June. The funds raised will contribute to Macmillan’s essential mission - offering muchneeded support to individuals and families dealing with a cancer diagnosis. A fantastic effort from Anthony, and we love the new look, too!

Supporting the Dally

It was an honour to support cyclists across Newport for the annual Acorn Dalmatian Bike Ride on the 10th of June.

Over the last 12 years, the ride has raised an astonishing £300,000 for St David’s Hospice Care and has sparked a strong community spirit that we are proud to support. We helped out as we usually do by transporting participants’ bikes and equipment to the starting point in the Brecon Beacons - and look forward to doing the same next year, too.

A huge thank you to everyone involved!

Welcome to the world...

Dan’s Charity Walk: Update

A heartfelt congratulations to Dan Rollings, alongside his two closest friends, who raised a fantastic £1,856 for Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley.

Dan completed a gruelling 28-mile walk on the 11th of May in memory of his best friend’s son, Wyatt, who died at the hospice in 2021 after battling a rare type of muscular dystrophy for most of his short life. Well done, Dan and team!

Celebrating inclusivity at Blackpool Pride

Here at Fagan & Whalley, we believe in the power of inclusivity, diversity and the freedom to be exactly who you want to be.

That’s why this year we were honoured to have provided two trucks for use as floats at the dazzling Blackpool Pride event, which took place on Saturday 10th of June, along Blackpool Promenade. One of the trucks served as a float for the Blackpool Trans Community, while the other was put to use by Brian House, a local children’s hospice.

Members of our team including Gareth Jones, Martin Neal and Chris Corrigan had a brilliant time at the event, which was a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the history, culture and issues that affect LGBTQ+ people.

Investing in safety, people & sustainability

We’re thrilled to be boosting our commitment to safety and sustainability with a new, cutting-edge vehicle safety and telematics system from Samsara.

Since July 1st, this revolutionary technology has been in action across our entire fleet. Offering sophisticated vehicle analytics and real-time performance data, the system provides us with an in-depth understanding of our vehicle operations. This empowers us to develop customised training programmes, ultimately enhancing the safety and efficiency of our operations.

The investment also further aids our sustainability efforts by supplying in-depth data on the CO2 emissions from each of our trucks - which is crucial as we continue to explore greener fuel alternatives in the near future.
