Council continues to invest in delivering new and improved infrastructure around the City to improve life for the community. Fairfield Showground has been transforming into a Multicultural and Sporting Centre of Excellence and work will soon be completed on a new grandstand and pavilion adjacent to the recently-completed international turf sports field. Council is also investing $1.6 million on building a pathway around the Showground precinct to link the outdoor gym equipment, Deerbush Park all-abilities playground, the People’s Globe, Nalawala Community Centre, off-leash dog park and covered festival and market areas. At Aquatopia Council is building an exciting new wave pool with added shade and amenities.

We are planning a new indoor multicultural and sports centre at Fairfield Showground, upgrades to Cabravale and Fairfield leisure centres, and major improvements to Endeavour Sports Park, Bareena Park and Fairfield Heights Park.

Local roads upgrade
The Fairfield Showground off-leash dog park was also recently opened and in the coming year off-leash dog parks will also be built at Brenan Park and Fairfield Heights. In Fairfield City Centre, Council recently opened a more contemporary and spacious 1000 sqm library in Hamilton Road and is converting the old library site in Kenyon Street into Fairfield City HQ - a business and community hub to support Fairfield’s business community.

DISCOVER DISCOVER FAMILY FUN Deerbush Park All-abilities Playground Our City’s first all-abilities playground at Deerbush Park offers a fun place for all children to play.
Liberty Swing
The park includes a wheelchair-accessible Liberty Swing and carousel, ground-level trampoline, and an accessible public toilet with a change table that can be raised and lowered.

There is a ropes and nets climbing course, flying fox, riding track, climbing net fort with slide, picnic tables and bench seating, outdoor gym equipment, trees and landscaping, and much more.

The water play space with squirters and misters – the first for a public playground in Fairfield City – will operate in the warmer months.

The Fairfield Park Precinct in Vine Street is the perfect place for families. The Fairfield Adventure Park features an 11m high giant climbing net and a sky-bridge with a threeslide combination.

Fairfield Youth and Community Centre
Cycling and walking paths
The Fairfield Youth and Community Centre features something for everyone, with multi-sport courts, rock climbing wall, inbuilt trampolines, breakout space and program rooms. Entry is free on the first Sunday of every month from 11am-3pm, 9725 0322.

Fairfield Obstacle Course The nearby Obstacle Course will test your strength and endurance with a three-metre high treetop walk, rope bridge crossing, flying foxes, tyre climbs, rope climbs and more. Aquatopia Water Park Aquatopia is Fairfield City’s affordable and fun water park. It is home to the Adventure Aqua Tower, toddler pool, 20m tall highspeed thrill slides, the 10m slides, Wave Rider and the Fishpipe. Open on weekends from September through to April. Fairfield Markets Fairfield Showground hosts Fairfield City Markets every Saturday from 9am to 4pm. The Markets are very popular with more than 600 stalls, free entry and lots of parking.
