The timing is perfect to observe the Perseids meteor shower under magnificently darks skies! We’ll follow the trail of the infamous ‘Miner 49ers’ who traveled California’s rivers and mountains in hopes of making their fortune out West. Your adventure will start on the coast, where you cross San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate Bridge, then east through picturesque mining towns, down dirt roads to the best swimming spots, and, if you choose, out to the majestic sights of Yosemite National Park.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

Catch the peak of this summer’s Perseids meteor shower

Cross the Golden Gate Bridge in a restored 1971 FJ43 Land Cruiser

Glamp in California’s famous forests: Mount Tamalpais and within the Sierra Nevada Mountains

Hike into Muir Woods to gawk at the big trees: California’s OldGrowth Redwoods

Plunge into crystal clear swimming holes along the South Yuba River

Try your hand at pining for gold on the shimmering river banks
