Abstract Designers spend an incredible amount of time in their office on the computer. Because of this, it’s important to have a work area that is comfortable, enjoyable, and encourages creativity. The space doesn’t have to be large or extravagant, but it does need to allow you to do your best work for long periods of time. Every designer has a workstation, whether it’s in the office or at home, designers tend to design their workstation in a specific way that will best suit them. There are many adjustments in my workstation all components fit together seamlessly, and each detail is designed for real world functionality. The workstation adapt to the work process and the need of the user.

My workstation especially well-suited for those situations that require considerable storage space, and the work area can be specifically designed around the specific needs of the user. Also, changes in layout can be made easily. My design has the creative look.I believe Art disputes claims of humans being just boring biological machines. Art allows me to transform images in my mind into something tangible. I believe that you have to be creative, self-motivated and hardworking when it comes to studying the different areas of art and design.
Goals • • • • • •
To develop the workstation this can be used to progress the product for small or large manufacture. Easy to upgrade with modular workstation design. The main objective is to produce the low cost workstation for designers. To explore the material including wood, metals and understandings the properties of the hardware and their use. To introduce the long lasting work station for designers. To manage budgets and preparing costing.

Problems
10
Storage • Although the modern business world is largely digital, the person using the workstation may still need places to store items such as model making tools, bench machines, documents and drafting tools Wrong heights for table and chair • Table surfaces and chairs need to be at the right height for the user to place his/her feet flat on the ground, keep the elbow angle greater than 90 degree, and easily maintain straight wrists. Prototype of the product • Designers only do the virtual modeling while there is also need of making the prototype of the product which they design. Lighting and Windows • Using a workstation in a poorly lit room can lead to eyestrain and headaches. When designing a workstation, consider its position. Eatable products storage • There will be proper storage for eatable products so that designer can eat during their work. Inspiration board • There will be inspiration board from where designers can explore their design. Eye Sight • Eye sight is the biggest issue for designers because they have to work in front of computer.
Solutions Proper Storage • There should be proper space in workspace so designers can store their tools or others things in it. Model Making • There should be proper model making area in which designers can make their prototypes. Task lighting • Well-designed task lights may help alleviate problems with glare from overhead lights and give additional illumination for specific tasks. Heights for table and chair • Heights of desk should be ergonomically so the designer can work for a long period of time. Foldable bed • In my design there will be foldable bed in which designers can sleep when they want to rest so designers can enjoy the less is more benefit. Book shelf • There should be space for book shelf in which designers books are kept for reference.

The warming up of China’s design industry has been relatively slow because Chinese society in general underestimates the value of design. Industrial design is a lot more complicated and requires teamwork. There are many processes involved, such as structuring, making blueprints and building models. The difference between traditional and modern design is only a matter of a lapse of time. They produce furniture to reduce the cost. Our goal is to own our own brand, controlling the whole process from design to production

Conclusions: • • • • • •
China furniture industry has many international buyers which purchase the furniture in bulk so china is the cheapest market in the world but they produce the existing products. In China they have the designer as well as manufacturing facilities. In China designers used the latest technology. While in Pakistan all designers do manual work to do this so process is very slow. China production realizes the international standard of environmental friendly products, to create pollution-free indoor climate. At the end I will conclude China design taste is for simple but not simplistic, with an accent on environmentally friendly concepts

There is a lot of negative space in workstation they should be design in proper utility of space. Height of the workstation is not adjustable if the designer which height is very small he faces a lot of problem. If you are working in the other direction of workstation you cannot used the LCD in that direction. Every Designer wants to use his own area for refreshment in which they can eat their food. There is no proper area for telephone stand if bell rings I search where the bell is ringing. There is no Storage area in the workstation in which designers can store their tools.
Conclusions: • • • • • •
The height of the workstation should be adjustable so every designer can use it easily. The workstation should be design in such a way so designer kept their necessity in it. Designer will solve the solution of common man. The LCD should be kept in the design in such way that it can be easily rotate. There should be private place in the workstation in which designer can store their food. But at the end I will conclude that negative space should be reduced in my design so the designer can use the maximum space.

Is there is the need of furniture designer or not? Designer provides the solution of a problem while worker does not know how to solve the problem. There is almost 70 % wastage in manufacturing process so designer can reduce the cost. We produce furniture to meet the operating cost. Conduct training of skilled worker and machine operator. If we used mild Steel pipe in furniture manufacturing then cost will be reduced.
1990-2014 • This Mid-Century Modern desk was designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller in 1964. • In 1964, Robert Probst and George Nelson created the legendary “Action Office 1” furniture series. • In 1968, Robert Probst’s “Action Office 2”, an extension of the “Action Office 1” series

There is huge demand of furniture designer. There is almost 70% of wastage in production process we should cut the wood in such way so wastage can be reduced so designer can do it easily with the help of software. Designer will solve the solution of common man. The woodworking should hire the furniture designer instead of machine operator. Instead of using wood as main material in the production others materials should be used to minimize the cost. It will cause them cost effective because designer will use the optimize resources of the center. They need furniture designer to explore their work because they have a lot of facilities such as machinery, wood and other sources. But at the end I will conclude that industrialist also wants to upgrade their manufacturing process but they have some limitation.
Development Era
1969-1977
• Today, industrial designers like Jonathan Ive (Apple iMac, iPad) or Yves Behar (XO laptop) have access to advanced technologies like Cintiq tablets, SolidWorks, and rapid prototyping fabrication, but the basic approach to designing a new product is the same.
• Egon Eiermann from 1953 created this table frame for his own office • Quickborner Team” created the office interior of the Stadtwerke Karlsruhe, 1975-1977. • Bureau of the pharmaceutical company Boehringer Mannheim, 1958-60.

Conclusion The idea of a “tool box” combined with a “workstation” is brilliant. Now I have a nice workspace, I can take anywhere. It has lots of storage for all of my favorite tools and a nice work surface where I can work on future projects. Total cost for this project is less than one hundred thousand. There is still some room for more options so I add a small bed in it and I am very happy with the way it closed.
