Save Your Selfie 2016 marks the 15th Anniversary of my bringing Fake Bake to the UK. Born in the US, the brand has been truly raised in the UK and has since developed into a globally recognised tan favoured by beauty experts, celebrities and salon professionals alike. Back in 2000, my mum had a skin cancer scare and this was during a time when sunbeds were being very readily used. It was for this very reason I decided to seek out a self-tan to introduce to the UK that would help people to save their skin, whilst boasting fabulous skincare benefits and being easy to use. Shortly after launching the brand in 2001, I developed the Save Your Skin Campaign to educate our customers on the dangers of natural tanning. So strong was my ambition to stop people having scares like my mum, or worse - actually suffering from melanoma, that I took a petition of 10,000 signatures to Downing Street to lobby for the ban of sunbeds for under 16 year olds. It was a success and ever since then Fake Bake have been championing in Save Your Skin ahead of any other tanning brand and this has been further brought to life with our partnership with skin healing charity RAFT. With this being our 15th year in the UK, I wanted to create a new campaign that is a celebration of women and their strength in life, which is not only an extension of Save Your Skin, but also our past Real Women campaigns. 3D Face & Body Tanning Contour Kit Application Guide Dare to bare this Summer and achieve a flawless contoured look courtesy of the Fake Bake 3D Face & Body Tanning Contour Kit. Follow this easy guide and get bikini-ready and sculpted this Summer.
PREPARATION Exfoliate skin thoroughly prior to tanning. Use an Oil Free Moisturiser [see page 22] to moisturise the feet before application. Use minimal tanning serum on the feet, as any falling airbrush can darken them.
FACE - CONTOURING & AIRBRUSHING 1. Using Scream & Pout PRO Blend, apply the Fake Bake Coconut Tanning Serum in long sweeping motions along the hair line and temples. Then using the Pro Blend gently blend the excess serum into the skin to create an even skin tone. 2. Apply the serum to the upper brow arch and blend any excess. 3. Sweep the serum along the cheek and under the cheek bone to enhance them. Soften with the PRO Blend or a firm clean make-up brush. 4. Repeat this along the jaw line. 5. Using the tip of the PRO Blend apply serum down the bridge of the nose on either side to give the appearance of a slimmer nose. Connect to the under side of the brows. Blend gently using the PRO Blend or a fluffy pony tail make-up brush. 6. With long sweeping motions, apply the serum along sternocleidomastoid muscle on each side of the neck. Blend excess. 7. Bringing your shoulders forward, apply the serum with the PRO Blend to the collar bones. Apply in the crevasse above and below the bone to highlight the collar bone itself. With the PRO Blend just sweep into the body when applying below the collar bone to even the skin tone. Using the same technique for above the collar bone. 8. Finish by 2/3 short bursts of Fake Bake Airbrush Self-Tan Aerosol around 30cm away from the face, covering entire face. Spray down and then fill in on the neck. 36

BODY - FULL BODY APPLICATION 1. Apply an even layer of Fake Bake Coconut Tanning Serum as you would your tanning mousse or lotion, all over the body. Use a tanning mitt to sweep across the skin for flawless results. 2. Ensure an even fade to the wrists, by starting at the top of the shoulder and disperse the serum towards the hand. Less product towards the hands and wrists will give a more natural finish. 3. The serum glides fast and evenly over the body and dries quickly for instant results. 4. Next it’s time to accentuate areas of the body for a layered 3D effect. 5. Hold your Fake Bake Airbrush around 20cm away from the skin and spray across the breasts and under them. A quick short burst of mist will shade and lift the area. 6. Next shade the abs and tummy by spraying in from the side of the stomach to the middle. Repeat on the opposite side. This professional technique visibly tightens and shades the tummy to create a slimmer silhouette. 7. Stand in front of a long mirror to airbrush the top of the bottom and legs. The darker derrière will lift the bottom making you bikini ready in seconds.
TOP TIP Place a dark towel on the bathroom floor before layering with your airbrush. If the area you are airbrushing appears damp, then the area has enough product on the skin to darken and shade.
