Special pre-installed perimeter gasket underneath frame leaves no gaps or cracks between frame and deck and eliminates the cost and time for extra seal. Low emission heat reflecting double-glazing. Energy Star, NFRC, IGMA, IGCC qualified glazing unit keeps the heat outside during the hot days, and warm air inside during winter time (the winter months). 0,15” (4mm) thick tempered glass, offers 33% more strength to resist hail damage, or provide greater safety in comparison to 3mm tempered glass often used in other skylights. A 0,55” (14mm) argon gas filled space for optimal thermal performance, compared to skylights that only have 0,24-0,47” (6-12mm) air space. Low e coating to reflect thermal radiation and reduce heat gain and heat loss through the skylight.

Double lacquered timber, does not require additional painting after installation and allows the wood to be easily cleaned of grubby finger marks after installation. Before lacquering, all timber components are placed in autoclave and vacuum treated with a preservative deep within the timber structure to prevent mould or moisture build-up.

The FX skylight is an easy to install product with a simple design. It offers a range of features, the most important being the new, ‘warm’ frame, low-E design glazing with tempered both panes and the simple but innovative method of installation. The combination of these factors enabled us to create the energy saving FX skylight. The design also minimizes the risk of condensation on cooler parts of the skylight.

FAKRO Manual Venting Skylights FV

The FV combines the advantages of both skylight and tilting window. Its “warm” frame design incorporates low-E glazing with toughened panes, and a system of perimeter seals. Operated manually by a mechanism in the bottom part of the frame, the unique system of hinges guarantees both durability and functionality. Each FV skylight is supplied with an insect screen. Because of the location of the pivot bar in the top part of the frame, the insect screen is installed directly onto the frame. Where the skylight is located in an out-of-reach application, operation of the skylight can be done using the manual control rod.

FAKRO Electric Venting Skylights FVE

The properties of the FVE skylight are the same as those of the FV skylight, with the difference that, FVE is being supplied with an electric operating system, which controls all the functions. The electrical circuitry governing the remote control is located in the bottom part of the frame. Built-in rain sensors automatically close the skylight with the onset of the slightest rain, an ideal labor saving device. The electrical system is designed for easy installation of accessories (e.g. electrically-operated roller blinds), an especially important feature once the skylight is installed. Z-Wave is the wireless radio protocol used for controlling domestic electrical appliances. Any electrical device equipped with the Z-Wave system module can be connected to the network. Fakro FVE skylight equipped with Z-Wave control system, will be easy to install and connect to the building’s existing network. Available from second half of year 2010. Flashing for flat roof coverings EL, ELA

EL flashing

Flashing is essential for the correct installation of skylights. Precisely designed flashing details ensure a durable and neat fit with the roofing material used. The purpose of flashing is to ensure good water drainage away from the skylight.

ELA flashing

This flashing allows the skylights to be used with flat roofing materials such as shingles, plain-tile, double-lap roofing, slates, or tar boards. The side elements of the flashing are laid alternately with the roofing material (maximum roofing material thickness 1/3’’). Bottom part of the flashing is equipped in butyl strip to guard against wind driven rain in stormy conditions. Please make sure you order the proper flashing for your skylight, egress, pivoting or top hung windows. Flashings were designed for a given type of product, so they are not universal, and can not be used with other products than produced for (example: skylight’s flashing can not be used with Egress window). EHA flashing

The flashing for profiled and high-profiled corrugated materials allows the skylights to be joined with roofing materials such as tiles or corrugated metal sheets. It has a much wider and longer lower part allowing a tighter joint with the high profiled roofing material (the height of the profile 11/4’’ - 31/2’’). There is also a butyl strip to hold down the flashing apron on the roof to shield against wind driven rain in stormy conditions. Please make sure you order the proper flashing for your skylight, egress, pivoting or top hung windows. Flashings were designed for a given type of product, so they are not universal and can not be used with other products than produced for (example: skylight’s flashing can not be used with Egress window). Venetian blind SJP-M, SJP-E The SJP venetian blind is a popular skylight accessory which can control the amount of light entering the room. By changing the angle of the lamellas we can control the direction of sunlight and create a comfortable atmosphere. The venetian blind protects from overheating and is also a decorative element. Side aluminum rails enable a complete shading of the room and also make it possible to rotate the sash with the blind pulled down. Blackout blinds SRF-M, SRF-E Blackout roller blind SRF allows you to achieve complete darkness even in the sunniest room. Aluminum rails covering the edges of the blind, a special seal in the bottom aluminum strip, as well as a special material covering the blind, stop the light completely and reduce heat flow both in winter and in summer. It is manually or electrically operated. The SRF blackout blind is a stylish, decorative blind with runners at the sides to allow the blind to be positioned anywhere up the skylight. Skylight Control Accessories Control rod SZS

The control rod is designed for operating internal accessories and FV skylights in out-of-reach locations. The rod length can be adjusted to suit skylights at different heights. An added advantage is that the rod can be used to operate other manually controlled accessories. Maximum rod length 10’ (using all three section).

FAKRO Egress Roof Window FWU

Fakro Side Hung Egress FWU window is designed for rooms where building codes require two methods of egress (escape). We recommend that you install Fakro side-hinged skylights for use as egress roof windows for your safety and so that the building department will give you approval. The egress window is available in two versions, right opening FWU-R or left opening FWU-L (as in the picture). FWU egress window provides escape way in case of emergency and also lets extra light into the room. FWU size 24/46 window is officially recognized as egress window*, and can help save lives in case of emergencies, such as a fire. FAKRO Pivot Windows FTL-V FT center pivot window is the most popular type of Fakro roof window sold in Europe. The well-designed center pivot allows the sash to be opened in a range of positions, thus increasing the amount of fresh air which can be drawn into the room. The sash can also be rotated through 180° and locked, allowing easy and safe cleaning of the outer pane to be carried out. Such pivot windows are operated using a two-part hinge. Once the window is closed, fresh air still can be supplied to the inside, by positioning it at the top of the frame air inlet. The average amount of fresh air being supplied through the air inlet is 23-52m3/h, depending on the size of the window.

Top hung and pivot window FPL Top hung and pivot window FPL can be opened in two distinct ways: outwards from the top, and via a center pivot. The outward opening function enables the sash to be opened in any position from 0° to 35°, whilst the pivot function allows the sash to be rotated through 180°. The newly patented fitting system guarantees complete sash stability, both in the top hung and pivot positions. To add to the window’s visual appearance the external profile covering the window is pressed which improves the attractiveness of the window.

Features:

 the window is double glazed as standard and by using a single chambered construction with energy saving panes, each glazed unit achieves a U pane value = 1.0 W/m²K;  manufactured using pinewood, vacuum impregnated and finished with three coats of acrylic lacquer;  air inlet V40P;  operated by handle positioned on the lower part of the sash.
