Mince pies and mulled wine are appearing on the supermarket shelves; plans are being made to meet old friends for the annual catch up; and the kids are cultivating a list for Santa of the latest toys and gadgets. Christmas is in the air! So to get you in the mood and keep you entertained and excited for the whole festive period we have a packed programme of events from concerts to films, shopping, storytelling and workshops – with lots of them free to drop in! So get the Christmas calendar out and start pencilling in some quality time with friends and family at one of our fantastic events throughout the Falkirk area. There is also a great pop up Christmas shop with beautiful jewellery, a fun range of all things horsey, including our very popular Michael Maley chocolate horseshoes and many more great gifting ideas for all the family. All profits from the sales in our shops go back to Falkirk Community Trust to develop culture and sports activity across the Falkirk area. Brunch/Afternoon tea with Santa There is so much Christmas work to be done But where have all those naughty elves gone Mrs Clause will be wrapping all night and day So Santa can put the toys in his sleigh She needs your help to spread Christmas cheer For young and old this time of year. All the family are invited to Callendar House to join Mrs Clause in a unique Christmas experience. Delicious brunch/ tea platters will be served to all the family. Sit back and relax as Mrs Clause recruits the young helpers into a magical band of merry elves and leads them through festive activities, Christmas stories and songs. Festive Films at The Hippodrome Join us for our magical Christmas screenings! PAN Living a bleak existence at a London orphanage, 12-year-old Peter (Levi Miller) finds himself whisked away to the fantastical world of Neverland. The Shop Around The Corner Alfred Kralik (James Stewart) and Klara Novak (Margaret Sullavan) are employees at Matuschek and Company, a general store in Budapest. Klara and Alfred are constantly at odds with each other, butting heads and disagreeing on almost everything. Both are enamored of their respective pen pals, who serve as welcome distractions in their lives. Little do they know, they are each the other’s pen pal and, despite outward differences, have unwittingly fallen in love through their letters. Toddling O’Clock Join us throughout November for the remainder of 2015’s series of Toddling O’Clock at Callender House. Robin Hood – A Pantomime Adventure! Fri 4 – Sat 12 December, times vary If you are looking for a great night out for all the family this Christmas, then you have just hit the bullseye! The talented young performers of Falkirk Youth Theatre bring you the adventures of Robin Hood in this fantastic pantomime extravaganza. Join Robin and his merry crew, along with Maid Marion and the rest of the gang in song laughter and adventure. Cheer on our hero and boo the evil sheriff in this brilliant show full of festive fun! A Victorian Kitchen Christmas in 2015. The kitchen will be decorated as a Victorian kitchen from Saturday 28th November.
