Youth Adventure Programme Easter 2016

The Adventure Starts here!

Welcome to Our 2016 Easter Youth Adventure Programme. Our exciting activity days run throughout the Easter holiday period. We have activities to suit everyone with a flexible programme to ensure you don’t miss out on the action. Most of our activities take place away from the Falkirk area taking in some spectacular scenery in challenging adventurous surroundings. Our team of instructors are experts in running outdoor activities, ensuring your time is action packed, fun, safe and enjoyable.

This Easter we will once again be offering a childcare element to the service by opening our doors at 8.30pm in the morning and remaining open until 5pm after the activity has ended. During nonactivity time participants will be closely supervised at the centre. Our activities all begin at 9am and end at 4.30pm

Our Centres Courses will be delivered from one of our centres detailed below. If you have any enquiries regarding any of the courses offered please contact our main office. Please Note this is not the booking Office.

Our Activities

White Water Rafting

Up to eight people in a raft for some serious fun down one of Scotland’s classic rivers. Getting wet is guaranteed along with the fun. Open to all abilities with a sense of adventure.

Canoe Trip

Big boats equal big fun. Come and try it out or, if you’ve been in one before, improve your skills on one of our local lochs. You might even visit a cave, an island or a ruined castle.

Rock climbing/ Abseiling

Rock climbing at a local crag or if the weather isn’t good we will go indoor climbing. We can take anyone from absolute beginners to budding mountaineers. How high can you climb? How hard a route can you do? How big an abseil can you manage? Find out this Easter.

Kayaking

You may get wet, you will pick up skills and you will have a whole lot of fun. Our loch based kayaking courses are a great way to explore some stunning areas.

Coasteering

Climb, jump and swim along a beautiful stretch of coast on this action packed adventure. You don’t have to be a strong swimmer to enjoy this activity and all the jumps are optional.

Mountain Biking

Mountain Biking on single track terrain. This Easter the course will be aimed at beginners, offering the perfect chance to practice your skills.

Blokarting

Racing along, powered by the wind, inches above the ground – this is a fantastic experience. We really need the wind for this activity to run so if it’s a calm day we will do another activity instead.

Bushcraft

Learn a bit about surviving in the woods, build shelters, light a fire and get involved in a whole lot of fun! Based in Muiravonside Country Park this course will appeal to anyone who just loves being out of doors.

The Helix Adventure starts here ! This Easter Falkirk Community Trust – Outdoor Activities Team will be delivering Paddlesports sessions on the Helix lagoon. We will be offering instructor lead activities for young people and families to try Kayaking, Canoeing and Katakanuing. This season our sessions will be on the hour from 13.00 until 16.00 and give you 40 minutes of fun on the water. For all sessions we will be taking walk-up bookings only.
