Do you want to explore the applications of artificial intelligence in games? At Falmouth, you'll work with artists and designers in a studio environment to test and experiment with cutting-edge techniques alongside veteran game-makers and world-leading researchers.

Join people breaking boundaries in the world of computer games. This stimulating, practise-focused course will give you a deep understanding of how to leverage AI to drive compelling and immersive experiences in games and virtual worlds. You’ll learn how to create believable agents who can engage players through rich interactions, how to implement procedural content generators that enable entirely new game-play experiences in expansive virtual worlds, and how to apply analytics to uncover patterns in data that can be used to inform design decisions that can be used to inform design decisions.

Entry requirements

We welcome applicants with varied qualifications, but typically you’ll need an undergraduate degree in computing, software engineering, game programming or a related field. You’ll also need demonstrable experience of computer programming (e.g presence on GitHub and/or StackExchange, source code excerpts, technical reports, etc). Our typical applicants hold an undergraduate degree of 2:2 or above, or equivalent experience.
