Outdoor adventure at Batford Springs

Batford Springs Local Nature Reserve is an incredible green space, celebrated not just because it is an outstanding community asset, but also because of its importance to biodiversity within Harpenden. Ideal for a family outdoor adventure, the Nature Reserve is home to a stretch of the River Lea and also includes a rare chalk lined stream, wildflower meadows and a recently opened boardwalk and footbridge which leads you through the wet woodland and reed fen area.
