Families South East magazine will be back in print from September - exciting news! If you’re looking for an enjoyable part-time role, we now have vacancies in the delivery team. We supply boxes of magazines and a list of southeast London schools, nurseries, libraries, shops etc who have copies, and we pay for your time. London Borough of Culture will return in 2022, and this time our very own Lewisham has won the accolade. An award of £1.35m will fund a year-long programme of activities championing cultural and climate change themes. From venues to parks and street corners, hundreds of thousands of people will participate across the borough, celebrating Lewisham’s rich history of cultural activism through music, dance, public art and more. An epic voyage Sir Ernest Shackleton is one of Dulwich College’s most famous ex-schoolboys. In the winter of 1916 he boarded the 23-foot James Caird whaler and set off on an epic Antarctic voyage. The College have produced a short film celebrating Shackleton’s extraordinary exploits.
