Outdoor learning with Busy Birds

Exciting new outdoor learning sessions for under-fives and their parents and carers have arrived in Leeds!

Busy Birds follows the forest school ethos, with opportunities for children to dig, plant, paint, hunt for bugs, make mud pies and more.

It’s run Charlotte Walker and Grace Webster, both teachers and life-long friends. “We both shared a vision of setting up inspiring opportunities for children to explore, play, learn and enjoy getting muddy outdoors, whatever the weather!” they explained.

Classes launched last year at a Yolk Farm in Boroughbridge and at Stockeld Park near Wetherby. Now they are also being offered at Herd Farm in Leeds.

Sessions are for children who are crawling up to age five.
