Wakefield Grammar Pre-Preparatory School is opening soon!

A co-educational pre-preparatory school from the governors at The Wakefield Grammar School Foundation will open in Wakefield in September.

The Wakefield Grammar Pre-Preparatory School will offer inspirational early years and Key Stage One curriculums with girls and boys learning together in an immersive setting and play-based, child-initiated way to unlock each child’s full learning potential.

With the new pre-prep school, the governors behind Wakefield Girls’ High School and QEGS aim to offer something special to the mix of schools already in the area.

Headteacher Emma Gill, said: “We’re offering a very personal learning experience: we are providing unique opportunities for children to learn through an exciting range of activities both inside and outdoors, igniting their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. Girls and boys can choose how they want to learn based on their preferences, passions and interests and in this way we are very different from what you typically find in a traditional classroom.

We know that big futures start early - and we are providing our youngest girls and boys with wonderful opportunities to make their learning journey even better. They will make friendships for life on the way and be well prepared for more structured learning at later ages and stages.”

Over the next few months, the team at Wakefield Grammar Pre-preparatory School will be offering some taster events for all interested families. These include a Peter Rabbit Experience, a Jungle Experience and a visit to The Forest School.
