Chef David Wiesner grew up watching his mom cook for the family, observing the effort and love she put into each meal. As he grew older he realized that sitting down for family meals brought them closer together. David wanted to become a chef so he could facilitate bringing family and friends together for a great dining experience. David’s passion for bringing people to the table led him to Western Culinary Institute. After graduating in 2006, David began his professional cooking career. David’s first job was to work under Richard Dingle of Sunriver Resort, where he learned how to properly run a kitchen. Richard encouraged David to use his expertise in French cuisine and apply it to modern cooking. Later David returned to his hometown of Silverton to work under Jeff Nizlek of the Silver Grille. There he learned about sourcing ingredients directly from growers and utilizing every part of the animal to create fantastic dishes. Jeff also taught him how to take classical techniques and build upon them. Chef David’s love of the Northwest shows in his cuisine by incorporating local products in his dishes and letting the quality of the ingredients speak for themselves. Chef David is a master of sauces and infusing new spices into traditional cooking. Today, Chef David is committed to the Roth’s promise of providing the highest quality products and excellent service. ROTH’S FRESH CATERING 1130 Wallace Rd. As a six-year-old, Wil was already fanning the flame of recipe tasting and menu development. Rummaging through his dad’s cupboards, he created the “Pepper Peppermint,” a flavorful combination of candy canes steeped in water with black pepper and every other spice he could find in the cabinet. Needless to say, that recipe didn’t make the cut, but his culinary skills definitely improved as he became an adult. The recipe that did stand the test of time was a balanced mix of business management, cooking at Laurelhurst Market, and a Type A personality. White Pepper was birthed from a love of serving people, the thrill of planning a large event, and seasonal and responsible procurement. “We started small. It really was just my wife and me doing everything. Our goal was to bring really great and beautiful food to catered events all around Portland. It was always our plan to set ourselves apart from everyone with our food quality, the beauty of our presentation, and our exceptional customer service. Needless to say, we found a great demand in the market and grew very quickly! Here we are, four years later, with an entire team of folks running the business alongside us! ‘Eat Well ~ Live Well’ speaks to the combination of food and life. People gather in their kitchens over dinner, have cookouts in their backyard, and celebrate holidays with a feast. That combination of food and life is an experience we all know so well. If we can help make that experience unique and unforgettable, our job is fulfilled.” Daily, you’ll find Wil with a chorizo burrito in hand, managing operations, marketing, and, of course, testing new, better recipes.

Winery
Argyle Winery was founded in 1987 by Rollin Soles with the purpose of growing and making world class sparkling wine in the perfectly suited, cool climate of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Argyle Winery’s focus on growing grapes for sparkling wine framed their perception of and orientation toward making world class chardonnay, riesling, and pinot noir. Most importantly, making sparkling wine impressed upon them the need to develop the patience and flexibility to think long-term. From the beginning, the touchstone for Argyle Winery has been continually challenging themselves to do what is best for the future and to make wines that will have long lives, improving with age. Argyle Winery farms three vineyards: Knudsen Vineyard, Lone Star Vineyard, and Spirit Hill Vineyard, and has been producing world-class methode champenoise sparkling wine, barrel-fermented chardonnay, and silky-textured pinot noir from low-yielding vines on winery-farmed hillside slopes since 1987. Located in the heart of the Dundee Hills, Knudsen Vineyard has been Argyle Winery’s foundational fruit source. Knudsen is the home of America’s first commercial planting of Dijon clone chardonnay. Knudsen Vineyard is Argyle Winery’s home for Spirithouse Pinot Noir and their single-vineyard designated Argyle Winery Blanc de Blancs. Since 1999, Lone Star Vineyard has served as the backbone for Nuthouse Pinot Noir, their biggest and boldest pinot noir. In Spring 2005, Argyle Winery released their first vintage of Lone Star-grown riesling, which, incidentally, is the New World’s first high-density, cutting edge riesling. The high-elevation Spirit Hill Vineyard supports Argyle Winery’s continuing goal to farm 100 percent of their own wine grapes, continuing their dedication to make world-class sparkling wine in the Willamette Valley.

Tasting Notes
2013 Argyle Winery Vintage Brut The 2013 sparkling wine vintage in the Willamette Valley was pristine, showcasing the enticing generosity and definition the region has to offer. Being pinot noir dominant this year, the richness and rounded peach nature is enhanced through the complexity of honey, cherry kernel, and lingering anise. The middle palate is invigorated with dynamic acid backbone and edgy minerality, bringing balance and focus to the finish.

Bethel Heights Vineyard was established by two families in 1977 in the EolaAmity Hills of the Willamette Valley. Twin brothers Ted and Terry Casteel and their partners Pat Dudley and Marilyn Webb left careers in academia and bought 75 promising acres, fourteen of which had newly planted grapevine cuttings in the ground. By 1979, there were 50 acres planted and in 1984, the first estate wines were produced. For the first 30 years, Ted grew the grapes and made the wine while Pat and Marilyn ran the business. In 2006, Ben Casteel, the son of Terry and Marilyn, took the helm as Winemaker while the rest of the family continued to play supporting roles. Over the years, the estate vineyard has grown to 100 acres and includes the adjacent Justice Vineyard, planted in 1999. The original 50 acres of own-rooted pinot noir and chardonnay vines planted in the 1970’s continue to provide the backbone of Bethel Heights Vineyard wines. About 10,000 cases of wine are 100 percent estate-grown and produced each vintage: 75 percent pinot noir, 15 percent chardonnay, and the remaining a combination of pinot gris and pinot blanc. The initial infatuation with pinot noir that brought the family to the Willamette Valley has not diminished. Gnarly old vines, geologically complex hillside soils, and direct impact from Aeolian winds create highly energized wines with firm backbones, depth of character, and distinctive personalities. Nine different bottlings of estate-grown pinot noir and chardonnay each year barely begin to tell the tale.

BETHEL HEIGHTS VINEYARD 6060 Bethel Heights Rd. NW, Salem, OR 97304 503.581.2262 | bethelheights.com
Tasting Notes 2014 Bethel Heights Vineyard Southeast Block Pinot Noir This wine features aromas of blueberry, blackberry, anise, spicy arugula, and wood smoke. The palate shows fleshy blackberry flavors mingling with black pepper, dried cedar, and black currant against a lively backdrop of acidity and fine grain tannin. The Southeast Block will continue to reward patience over the next 10 to 12 years. 2014 Bethel Heights Vineyard Estate Pinot Noir Floral black pepper and warm Christmas spice frame red fruit aromas of currant and pomegranate. The palate enjoys volume without heavy weight and the punchy red fruits carry a savory depth that fills the front, mid, and back palates. The finish is lengthy and high toned, with silky tannins focused by bright, balanced acidity, suggesting a promising longevity in the cellar. This wine should evolve beautifully for a decade or more. 2014 Bethel Heights Vineyard Estate Chardonnay The 2014 Estate Chardonnay has all of the characteristics of truly great, warm Oregon vintages: energy, tension between the acidity and fruit, a suppleness and body in the mid palate, and a long harmonious finish. This wine should age gracefully over the next seven to 10 years.

Founded in 1998, Brooks Winery is a reflection of visionary Portland native Jimi Brooks. His reverence for the land and vines made him a practitioner of organic and biodynamic farming. The great respect for vineyard individuality and mastery of blending allowed his wines to achieve the greatest depth, flavors, and balance. While Jimi is no longer with us, his dynamic spirit lives on through his wines, family, and friends. With the outpouring of generosity and friendship from the Oregon wine community, Brooks is delighted to share that they are stronger than ever with the addition of their new winery in Amity, Oregon. Jimi’s son Pascal is the sole owner of their winery and Jimi’s sister Janie Brooks Heuck has volunteered her time to lead their winery. Christopher Williams continues to make Brooks wines in the same thoughtful manner as their founder. Brooks is steadily guided by the legacies that Jimi left. His strong commitment to organic and biodynamic farming in the vineyards, gentle approach to winemaking, and excitement for future harvests are put into action each day. Brooks Winery’s pinot noir and riesling are grown and produced in Oregon. Visit Brooks Winery’s tasting room daily from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm.

BROOKS WINERY 21101 SE Cherry Blossom Ln., Amity, OR 97101 503.435.1278 | brookswine.com
Tasting Notes 2013 Brooks Winery Rastaban Pinot Noir Fresh like rain on the sidewalk with spicy cherry, orange peel, rhubarb, and black plum, drinking this wine is like opening up the spice cabinet and getting inspiration for dinner. Mulberry, loganberry, black cherry, Marionberry, huckleberry, white mushroom, black currant, and violet candies make for a daring complexity. In the mouth, everything is confirmed - lush cherry candy, violets, sage, basil, mushrooms, and wild berries wrapped up in a nest of bacon. This is such a beautiful, fat, smoky, and unctuous pinot noir. 2014 Brooks Winery Janus Pinot Noir This wine features wonderful, bright flavors of raspberry, cherry, and rhubarb on the nose with cola, ripe strawberry, mushroom, beetroot, and earth, with a hint of cinnamon, spices, and delicious, mouth watering red fruits in the mouth. Reminiscent of ripening wild strawberries, cranberry, Rainier cherry, and raspberries still on the vine, this medium-weight wine has a beautiful, tart acidity and a lushness that expands on the palate. The freshness and vibrant acidity recalls a red Sancerre. Moderate tannins on the finish with a long-lasting taste of mineral, red fruit, and acidity will pair well with salmon. 2016 Brooks Winery Amycus Featuring white flowers, peaches, honeysuckle, and gardenia, this wine also possesses aromatic and beautiful aromas of orange and citrus blossom, pear, peach, and rose petals. On the palate, the wine is perfumed with lychee, grapefruit, apricot, potpourri, melon, lemon, spice, sorrel, and green herbs. With a medium weight, bright acidity, and an exotic mid-pallet of tropical fruit and spice, there lingers a hint of sweet flowers, ripe fruit, pear, and peach juice. Beautiful and complex with a finish of slight bitterness and perfume over a faintly mineral undertone, this wine pairs well with white meats, chicken, pork, sausage, and sauerkraut.

Paul and Eileen Gerrie founded Cristom Vineyards in 1992. The property has been developed with the shared vision of Founder Paul Gerrie, Winemaker Steve Doerner, and Vineyard Manager Mark Feltz. Together they have consistently produced masterful and expressive pinot noirs while remaining avid stewards of the land for the last 25 years. Second generation proprietor Tom Gerrie formally stepped into the role of Winegrower on March 1, 2017 and will oversee every aspect of wine production at Cristom Vineyards. Working alongside Steve and Mark, Tom will lead the production team to continuously elevate the quality of Cristom Vineyards’ wines and enhance each and every aspect of the business. Cristom Vineyards’ winemaking philosophy begins with respect for the land, estate vines, and natural process of fermentation. The vineyards and winery are Certified Sustainable by Low Input Viticulture & Enology (LIVE) and are thoughtfully and meticulously farmed with a focus on quality. With minimal intervention during the winemaking process, Cristom Vineyards’ production team guides wines from the vineyard to the bottle, producing the ultimate expressions of the stellar fruit their vineyard crew grows every vintage. The four estate pinot noir single-vineyards Eileen, Jessie, Louise, and Marjorie are named for Gerrie family matriarchs. People often confess to a favorite among Cristom Vineyards’ “Four Ladies,” recognizing that each offers a distinctive, individual style and flavor. While Cristom Vineyards is widely recognized for their single-vineyard wines, nowhere is Steve’s gift for blending more apparent than in their hallmark Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Pinot Noir. Cristom Vineyards is fortunate to also produce estate-grown viognier, pinot gris, chardonnay, and syrah, all of which allow them to further express their house style and winemaking philosophy across different varietals.

Tasting Notes 2014 Cristom Vineyards Mt. Jefferson CuvĂŠe Pinot Noir In the glass, the 2014 Mt. Jefferson CuvĂŠe is showing like a classic Willamette Valley vintage with bright red-fruit aromatics, elegantly balanced tannins, and persistent acidity. Impressions of pomegranate, Rainier strawberries, raspberries, dark Hudson cherries, cocoa powder, and sweet pipe tobacco along with earthy and dusty notes make this wine complex and intriguing. It is a mid-weight wine that is defined by its balance of smooth, seamless tannins and luscious acidity with good persistence. 2014 Cristom Vineyards Jessie Vineyard Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard, in almost any vintage, exudes floral notes of blue and purple flowers, and the 2014 expresses this trademark trait beautifully. The nose swirls with earthy tones, dense strawberry fields, Chinese cinnamon, fennel seeds, cloves, and star anise. On the palate, there is a richness to the core of opulent fruit with slightly sandy tannins and a balanced, persistent finish. 2015 Cristom Vineyards Estate Pinot Gris The 2015 Estate Pinot Gris exudes aromas of lime blossom, orange oil, lemon verbena, Bosc pears, and white peach out of the glass. The wine is stylistically a dry and food-friendly pinot gris with rounded edges and a creamy mouthfeel from the full malolactic fermentation and aging on its lees. On the palate, the wine offers focused notes of lime pith, citrus rind, and Jonagold apples with a spicy clove character on the finish.

DOBBES FAMILY ESTATE 240 SE 5th St., Dundee, OR 97115 503.538.1141 | dobbesfamilyestate.com
Tasting Notes 2012 Dobbes Family Estate Symonette Vineyard Pinot Noir Intriguing, complex fruit aromas marry with toasted oak to make a cocktail of strawberry, cherry-cola, vanilla, toffee, and tobacco along with a floral-rose accent. The palate opens to a full body resting on smooth tannins and fresh acid. Dark fruit flavors join with raspberry, brambly spice, and integrated oak from second-fill barrels. An opulent, medium-long finish of ripe tannins is lengthened by age-worthy acid. This wine is a hallmark of the 2012 vintage at its finest! 2014 Dobbes Family Estate Quailhurst Estate Single Vineyard Pinot Noir Over the years, the vines of Quailhurst Vineyard have matured and the quality of the fruit has improved with every vintage. This vineyard site is a perfect fit for a vineyard designate wine; producing consistent personality that defines a sense of place. It is often said, “Quailhurst loves oak.â€? While some vineyards need new oak to accentuate an average landscape, Quailhurst can handle new oak because of its opulent fruit and fine-grained sweet tannins. 2014 Dobbes Family Estate Eola-Amity CuvĂŠe Pinot Noir 50 percent of this pinot noir was sourced from the Symonette Vineyard with Roserock and Willakia composing the other half in roughly equal parts. Grapes from this region come from rolling hills providing ample opportunity for diverse vineyard sites and excellent blending components. 2016 Dobbes Family Estate Grenache Blanc An elegant, acid-driven wine with citrus and floral notes create the aroma of white peach, lemon zest, ripe pear, floral banana, and honeysuckle. Bright acid is first on the palate with flavors of green apple, juicy pineapple, and tart lemon. Neutral barrel fermentation and aging build a creamy body to support racy acid, transparent enough to highlight mineral notes in the mouthfeel. Subtle accents make this wine enticing with Key lime, quince, and eucalyptus in the background. An elegant, long finish makes this a versatile wine for food pairing.

Fine tannins file perfectly down the pallet creating an elegant structure and supple finish. 2013 Scott Paul Wines La Paulée Pinot Noir With hints of baking spice, anise, fresh Bing cherry and raspberry on the nose, and a vibrant red color, this wine has a delicate pallet with dense layers of freshly picked strawberries, a bold, lingering texture of minerals, and long, lacy tannins. 2015 Wildstock Wines Pinot Blanc Vinified and aged in stainless-steel to capture the purity and freshness of the fruit, the Wildstock Wines Pinot Blanc shows rich flavors of freshly cut melons combined with citrus notes in a creamy, mouth filling wine. Watch out, pinot gris, pinot blanc is coming to get you!

Winery
Seven of Hearts features wines from distinct appellations within Oregon’s Willamette Valley and neighboring regions, including specific vineyards and portions of vineyards that show unique characteristics. Using traditional winemaking methods, their goal is to create small production distinctive wines of purity, complexity, and elegance. The label on the bottle, with its neoclassical elements, symbolizes their passion for the traditional Old World style wines. Seven of Hearts makes wines from their estate vineyard under the Luminous Hills label, which is about that specific site. Seven of Hearts is about exploring other vineyards, other AVAs, and other varietals, including highly regarded and well-managed vineyards in the Willamette Valley, AVAs of Eola-Amity Hills, Dundee Hills, Chehalem Mountains, and Ribbon Ridge. They are very fortunate to be working with growers from outstanding vineyard sites where great attention to detail and care is given to the fruit. Varietals that are classically grown in the Rhône region of France are featured under the Chatte d’Avignon sub-label of Seven of Hearts: viognier, roussanne, grenache, syrah, mourvèdre, and the blend of grapes known as GSM. Our Chateau Figareaux line highlights the Bordeaux varietals sauvignon blanc, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, and our classic-style red blend called Tradition.

SEVEN OF HEARTS 217 W Main St., Carlton, OR 97111 503.852.0097 | sevenofheartswine.com
Tasting Notes 2014 Seven of Hearts Tradition Sourced from both sides of the Columbia River, the 2014 traditional Bordeaux-style blend takes more of a “left bank orientation this year with its emphasis on the structure, dark fruit, and backbone that the cabernet sauvignon provides, along with a strong supporting role of petit verdot, which delivers the inkiness and floral aromas. Rich, supple old-vine merlot rounds out the blend, complemented by just enough cabernet franc to add a touch of spice, red fruit, and texture to the finish. 2014 Seven of Hearts Roussanne Most years they do not have enough roussanne to make a wine made 100 percent from this single varietal, but out of love for it, they do whenever possible. A key component of balancing this blend with viognier, roussanne also stands alone quite distinctively. The small lots of roussanne they make are fermented and aged in neutral French oak barrels, providing layers, body, and texture to this distinctive wine that delivers stone fruits and a unique ginger spiciness. With its gravelly and sandy soil, the Rattlesnake Road Vineyard near Arlington, Oregon is the perfect site for roussanne. 2014 Luminous Hills LUX Pinot Noir 2014 was the warmest vintage on record and provided qualities for balance and verve to accompany richness and depth in the wines. The 2014 Luminous Hills LUX Pinot Noir comprises six barrels selected from Luminous Hills with an emphasis on the lower elevation Pommard on sedimentary soil, providing the darker fruit and bass notes. Complementary elegant red fruit from the 777 at higher elevation on Jory volcanic soil make the wine complete and balanced. 2014 Seven of Hearts Nebbiolo Nebbiolo ranks among the most noble and profound wines, particularly when from the Piedmont region in the northwest part of Italy. Fifty percent whole cluster fermentation, extended cold maceration, a preponderance of old wood, and long barrel aging all contribute to the classic distinctive nebbiolo characteristics of iron, tar, rose petals, and delicate fruit on a platform that is both silky and yet still supported by sharply focused tannins.

Winery
Sineann Winery, with owner and winemaker Peter Rosback, is a small producer of highly intense wine in Yamhill County, Oregon. Sineann Winery sources fruit from some of the best vineyards in the region, including: pinot noir and pinot gris from the Willamette Valley and the Hood River Valley; cabernet, merlot, and zinfandel from the Columbia Valley; and gewurztraminer from the Willamette Valley and the Columbia Gorge. Sineann Winery recently started making wine from the Napa Valley. Sineann Winery growers take great pride in the grapes they provide. Almost all of the wines are vineyard designated and no expense is spared in the pursuit of great wine. Crop levels are kept very low at one to three tons per acre. Winemaking is meticulous. All fruit is hand-sorted, delicately de-stemmed, punched down by hand, gently pressed, and gravity-racked. The wines are aged in new and one-year-old French oak barrels. Sineann Winery strives to make great wine that is exciting to produce and gratifying to share. Peter Rosback believes that food and drink, lovingly prepared, make for happier and healthier people.

Tasting Notes 2013 Sineann Winery Abondante Blend The name Abondante is derived from the Italian word for abundance. This wine is truly an abundant assembly of various grape varieties. Cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, petite verdot, and zinfandel from both sides of the Columbia River are blended together in quantities to compose a wine that fills the palate with intriguing characters of cedar, cigar box, blackberry, and cassis. The zinfandel is the main influence in the nose and provides a smooth transition between the attributes of each variety. It also contributes a long lingering finish to this full-bodied wine. 2013 Sineann Winery Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon This wine showcases fruit from three fantastic vineyards in two of eastern Washington’s notable appellations. The winemakers have blended cabernet sauvignon from Champoux, formerly Mercer Ranch, and Phinney Hill Vineyards in the Horse Heaven Hills and Canyons on Red Mountain. This cabernet is bursting with silky fruit, a fabulous nose, and numerous old and new world cabernet flavors. Discover a finish that goes on and on, with just a hint of the astringency that promises great ageability. 2015 Sineann Winery New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc Every spring, Peter Rosback packs up and heads for New Zealand where he creates this delicious wine from grapes grown in the Sonflower Vineyard Marlborough in the northeast corner of the South Island. With grapefruit, serrano pepper, and passion in the nose, the wine has power and finesse with wonderful fruit buoyed up on the palate by just the right amount of racy acidity. This is the perfect wine for seafood, shellfish, poultry, and vegetarian fare.

Winery
St. Innocent Winery was founded in 1988 by its winemaker and president, Mark Vlossak. St. Innocent Winery produces small lots of handmade, vineyarddesignated wine from some of the best sites in the Willamette Valley. Since their founding, they have grown from 600 cases their first year to a current production up to 10,000 cases, yet, each wine is still handcrafted in the very same manner. Year after year, St. Innocent Winery has received recognition throughout the country and around the world for its outstanding pinot noir, beautifully-crafted white wines, and fair pricing. Mark’s raison d’etre is to produce wines that reflect their terroir, the specific qualities of the vintage and his vision of wine’s place in life to complement and extend the pleasure of food. To accomplish his goal, he picks fully ripe fruit at the point of maximum complexity and ferments it to extract the perfect balance of flavor and tannins desired. This produces wines that display their unique fruit character as well as secondary flavors specific to the terroir of the site: spice, pepper, mushroom, and earth. Mark’s result is wines with higher acid levels and diverse yet harmonizing flavors.

Tasting Notes 2013 St. Innocent Winery Zenith Vineyard Pinot Noir The Estate wine, the 2013 Zenith Vineyard Pinot Noir, has a rich spicy, raspberry, and dark cherry nose. The palate begins more gently with dark red fruits, sweeter spices, and red floral nuances that center on the mid-mouth. As the wine evolves, the sweeter fruit flavors dominate. There is a lovely textural richness that lingers, especially over your upper palate into its gently fading finish. Its textures, supple tannins, juicy acidity, and a length of concentrated fruit are a signature of this site. The concentration into the finish gently fades and remains juicy with spice and dark cherry flavors. 2015 St. Innocent Winery Zenith Vineyard White Pinot Noir Oeil de Perdrix The pinot noir grapes come from the estate vineyard where the grapes are picked earlier than for red wine; about the same time as for making Champagne. They gently press the fruit whole cluster to minimize skin contact, and minimize any color extraction. The almost colorless juice was fermented at cool temperatures, 64 degrees, and the fermentation was stopped just short of dryness. This creates a crisp, refreshing white wine from pinot noir with just a hint of sweetness. Oeil de Perdrix translates to “eye of the partridge” and is an old name for a very pale rosé wine made from pinot noir. In many ways, it is more similar to German riesling than pinot noir except for its plum scents. 2016 St. Innocent Winery Zenith Vineyard Pinot Noir Rosé Maliziosa Maliziosa translates to “not so innocent,” or “a bit ornery.” In nearly 30 years of winemaking, this is St. Innocent Winery’s second rosé of pinot noir! The pinot noir grapes for the Maliziosa rosé come from two gently sloping parcels at the lower elevations of their estate vineyard, Zenith Vineyard. They were picked in midSeptember in perfect condition. The grapes were destemmed and allowed 24-hours of skin contact. After pressing the next day, the deep pink-colored juice was fermented at 64 degrees and stopped just short of dryness, avoiding malolactic fermentation.

Tasting Notes
2015 Willamette Valley Vineyards Estate Pinot Noir The 2015 Estate Pinot Noir expresses the terroir of the three vineyards: the original planting by Founder Jim Bernau at the winery in the Salem Hills; Tualatin Estate planted by Oregon wine pioneer Bill Fuller in the foothills of the Oregon Coastal Range; and Elton planted by Dick and Betty O’Brien on the east face of the Eola-Amity Hills. This wine exemplifies the “Oregon style,” even with the vintage being the warmest on record. Complex aromas of black cherry, dried herbs, floral, and spice create an alluring nose. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and flavors of blackberry, bergamot, anise, and cedar. It is exceptionally balanced with velvety tannins, lively acidity, and a lingering finish. Peak drinkability through 2022. 2015 Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Gris Straw in color, the wine offers vibrant aromatics of melon, pear, golden apple, and floral blossoms. A rich mouthfeel reveals lush flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, lychee, and honey that continue through to the satisfyingly long and balanced finish. Peak drinkability through 2018. 2016 Willamette Valley Vineyards Whole Cluster Pinot Noir This wine is exquisitely aromatic with notes of nectarine, jasmine, and ruby red grapefruit. The palate is juicy and displays fresh peach, kiwi, and floral honeysuckle flavors while remaining bright and balanced by mouthwatering acidity. The finish carries tropical papaya and guava essences well beyond the sip. Peak drinkability through 2018.

Brewery
Gilgamesh Brewing is owned and operated by the Radtke family in Salem, Oregon. Founders Mike, Nick, Matt, and Lee Radtke started their brewery in an out-building on small acreage in the foothills south of Salem in 2009. The family brewers developed their unique brews, frequently using non-traditional ingredients, on repurposed dairy equipment. Their beers quickly became popular with the local community and outlying areas. Gilgamesh Brewing outgrew their facility by 2011 and began looking for a new location. They refurbished their new facility in late 2012 on an amazing three-acre lot and dubbed it “The Campus.” A large family restaurant and pub with a fantastic outdoor patio sits adjacent to the rehabilitated Pringle Creek. The property also has a large outdoor event area which works great for large parties, reunions, and weddings. The large manufacturing building houses their new state-of-theart brewing facility. Their high-efficiency brewhouse reduces energy, water, raw ingredients, and labor to provide a more sustainable product. The brewhouse also gives them the freedom to create new and unique beers to keep their customers on their toes. Much of Gilgamesh Brewing’s success can be attributed to their awardwinning and unique brew Mamba; brewed with black tea and tangerine peel with only a smattering of hops. A light-flavored and smooth-bodied brew has a taste that can only speak for itself. Other flagship beers include Oedipus IPA, HopScotch Strong Ale, and Vader CDA which can be found on draft in 22 oz. bottles and in 12 oz. six pack cans in Oregon, Washington, and as far west as Japan. Gilgamesh Brewing provides a plethora of different beers; simply put “a beer for everyone!”

8 Cellar Crawl & Dinner
5 WINEMAKERS X 5 VINEYARDS = 25 BARRELS OF OREGON PINOT NOIR Cellar Crawl was formed in 1997 when five friends joined forces in hopes of learning from each other by sharing their successes, failures, and winemaking secrets. Visiting each other’s cellars and taking a joint marketing trip, the group tour to Burgundy sealed the deal. After a decade of traveling and tasting together, their winemaking styles remained quite diverse. In an effort to completely meld five winemaking styles into a single collaboration, they shared all their grapes and made wine from the same five lots of pinot noir. In 2006 their wine was complete and the Cellar Crawl Collection was created from their collaboration. This collection features 25 wines boxed in a sets of five bottles, not sold separately. The technical data is included to highlight the vineyards and processing that created this boxed set. Now ten years later, the wines are ready to drink. 14 Commemorativ e Painting “HOPE” BY ZACH HIXSON
Living in a small town in the heart of Oregon’s wine country, Zach is consistently inspired by his surroundings - big skies, rolling hills, and vast horizons. A self-taught, full-time artist, Zach’s preferred medium is oil paint. He loves the movement of oil paint under his palette knife and the ability to blend directly on the canvas where painting with oil can feel more like sculpting than painting. Zach shared, “I have discovered that my primary objective in painting is a simplification of my subject. I strive to imbue each shape with its own importance. I attempt to create an appreciation for an individual shape as it stands alone and as it contributes to the totality of the image. At times, there may be some implied meaning in my work, but I trust the overall feeling of light and color will rise above any underlying issues. Ultimately, I hope my paintings provide an emotional experience for the viewer.” Contributed by: Zach Hixson

While Michelangelo was considered the “father and master of all the arts” for centuries, Barolo has been called the “king of wine.” These wines are produced in the northern Italian Piedmont region made with the nebbiolo grape.
