Dear Friend of Family Reach, For 25 years, Family Reach has been in the trenches, fighting for families with cancer to address the ever-evolving financial crisis brought on by their health crisis. Our impact through the years is thanks to an unwavering commitment from the many families, oncologists, social workers, donors, companies, athletes and volunteers who stand with us. The Family Reach community gives me hope. You offer me strength as we plow forward in the most complicated environment I have seen in my tenure at the organization. Today, families with cancer face a crisis like no other. We must be nimble, smart, and strong as we continue to work on their behalf. Our Executive Circle members are my partners. It is their support that enables me to take the bold steps required for Family Reach to best serve the millions of families carrying a burden too serious to bear on their own.
I am proud to introduce you to this legacy giving program and humbly invite your participation. As you reflect on this important decision, I encourage you to reach out to me personally. I recognize the gravity of your investment and welcome the chance to offer confidence and inspiration as you join this group of incredible donors. I look forward to sharing more about my vision, and the many opportunities that will become possible through our collaboration. Together, we can bring hope to families who need us more today than ever before. Thank you for your consideration. With gratitude, Carla Tardif
Our Executive Circle members unite to support families like Shelly’s Shelly is a single mother of triplets - two boys and one girl. Within two years, both of her boys were diagnosed with leukemia. Shelly continued to work full time, while raising three 7-year olds and receiving no financial support from their father. One of her sons is currently receiving treatment at a hospital that is 114 miles away from their home. After her children’s diagnoses, Shelly had only been able to work part-time. Now with the COVID-19 pandemic, her income has been further reduced as her hours have been cut. The loss of income, combined with gas and car maintenance costs, child care, out of pocket expenses at the hospital, and more have created severe financial stress for this family. Shelly is one of thousands of families that need our help right now, and our queue continues to grow.
