FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Community Members, As you look at this report card, we are especially proud that 82% of our students met or exceeded state standards in English and 59% met or exceeded in math. When compared to schools with similar demographics, our students performed at a higher level. You can see how well each subgroup of our students (white, ELL, students with disabilities, TAG, etc.) performed by checking the charts on page 2. While we are pleased by our successes, we want all students to achieve at high levels. We care about the success of every student and will work hard to provide a positive school experience that meets each child’s individual needs. Tualatin High School is an exceptional comprehensive high school that opened in 1992. We established an early tradition of excellence in the four A’s: academics, activities, athletics and the arts. We have high expectations for all of our students. Tualatin has consistently sent almost 75% of its graduates to postsecondary education, the majority to fouryear schools. We offer the IB

(International Baccalaureate) program for students wishing to take the most challenging curriculum available. Our academic test scores from the Smarter Balanced, ACT and SAT are above average to exceptional compared to other high schools in the state. Attendance rates are above the state average and have shown significant improvement over the years. The dropout rate is among the lowest for large high schools. Tualatin is proud of its strong fine arts programs as well as its activity and athletics programs that have resulted in league championships in every OSAA sanctioned sport as well as multiple state and one national championship. We appreciate our strong support from parents and patrons. We are the proud home of the Wolves, working together for the greater pack Thank you, Principal | Darin Barnard

FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Community Members, This is the Oregon Report Card for Hazelbrook Middle School. It includes information about our school’s performance on the Smarter Balanced Assessment. While changes in state accountability are being implemented, Schools will not receive overall ratings on this report card, as they have in the past. As you look at this report card you will notice that 67% of our students met or exceeded state standards in reading, while 51% met or exceeded in math. You can also see how well each subgroup of our students (white, ELL, students with disabilities, TAG, etc.) performed by checking the charts on page 2. While we are pleased by our successes, we want all students to achieve at high levels. To reach this goal, we plan to focus on specific schoolwide comprehension and summarization strategies, organizational strategies, and cohesive writing strategies across all curriculum areas.

Beyond test scores, Hazelbrook Middle School is proud of the comprehensive exploratory elective program that we offer. Classes that introduce students to art, band, orchestra, choir, culinary arts, business, technology, and foreign language provide foundational skills that students can carry forward to their high school experience and beyond. We also offer a robust after school activities program that provides students with a positive connection to school through challenging extension activities and athletic outlets. We care about the success of every student and work hard to provide a positive school experience that meets each child’s individual needs. Thank you, Principal | Eric Nesse

FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Community Members, This is the Oregon Report Card for Alberta Rider Elementary School. It includes information about our school’s performance on the Smarter Balanced Assessment. While changes in state accountability are being implemented, Schools will not receive overall ratings on this report card, as they have in the past. As you look at this report card, we are especially proud that 90.1% of our students met or exceeded state standards in science. 73.2% of all our students achieved a Level 3 or 4 on the Smarter Balanced English Language Arts Assessment. A Level 3 or 4 indicates that a student is on track to be college and career ready. 70.2% of all our students achieved a Level 3 or 4 on the Smarter Balanced Mathematics Assessment. You can see how well each subgroup of our students (white, ELL, students with disabilities, TAG, etc.) performed by checking the chart titled, ‘Outcomes for Key Student Groups.’ Alberta Rider has an increasingly diverse student

population, and while we are pleased by our successes, we want all students to achieve at high levels. To reach this goal, we plan to provide interventions for students who are not meeting grade level standards. Beyond test scores, Alberta Rider Elementary School is a welcoming, technologyrich, engaging and positive learning environment. We have a supportive Parent Support Organization and highly engaged parent community. We care about the success of every student and work diligently to meet each student’s individual needs.

Thank you, Principal | Rory Moore
