We hold community meetings, workshops for parents on important topics and have guest speakers. Our schools all host evening community nights about academics, social emotional learning and developmentally appropriate behaviors. The school district enjoys a plethora of community partnerships that enhance community engagement and relationships.

Safe & Welcoming Environment
Newport High School’s Mission: NHS will provide a learning community that challenges all students to become thoughtful, respectful, culturally-aware and engaged learners. NHS works to empower all students to realize their full potential and find their personal why. There is a focus on Academic Achievement through AVID, College and Career Readiness, Attendance and PBIS.
The Oregon Department of Education is partnering with school districts and local communities to ensure a 90% ontime, four year graduation rate by 2025. To progress toward this goal, the state will prioritize efforts to improve attendance, provide a well-rounded education, invest in implementing culturally responsive practices, and promote continuous improvement to close opportunity and achievement gaps for historically and currently underserved students.
Lincoln County School District is committed to forming positive school communities where all students succeed and grow. Our behavior management system creates and fosters healthy relationships that enable students to develop self-discipline necessary to remain in school and to function successfully in their educational and social environments. We utilize the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) framework to support appropriate student behaviors and create positive school environments.
