FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Community Members,
identify individual student needs, and target academic interventions and enrichment. Personalizing instruction better enables students to catch-up, keep-up, and move-up, so that they can realize their full potential.
The Oregon Report Card is distributed annually and represents data collected from school districts by the Oregon Department of Education. Districts and schools are compared on measures such as state assessments in English/Language Arts, Math, and Science, demographic characteristics, graduation rates, and more.
As parents, you can help your student succeed by monitoring homework, asking questions about school and what they’re learning, reading with them every day, ensuring they maintain good attendance, volunteering at school, and attending parent/teacher conferences.
The staff of Columbus Elementary School is dedicated to ensuring academic excellence for all Columbus students by supporting them to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in school and life, as they grow to become critical thinkers that are college- and careerready.
The Columbus staff is thankful for the parents, students, partners, and community members who help us to create and maintain a learning environment in which students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
At Columbus, we remain focused on using research-based instructional strategies that have been proven to increase student achievement and accelerate learning and using student performance data to guide instruction,
Thank you, Principal

The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) will not assign summative, overall ratings to schools on the 2016-17 report cards given the upcoming implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) in 2017-18. However, the ODE will report indicator ratings (e.g., achievement, growth, graduation, etc.) for each school and student group on the 2016-17 Report Card (RC) Rating Details reports. These reports are accessible at http://www.oregon.gov/ode/schools-anddistricts/reportcards. For more information about ESSA and the redesign of the school and district report cards, please visit http://www.oregon.gov/ode/rules-and-policies/ESSA.

FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Community Members, The Oregon Report Card is distributed annually and represents data collected from school districts by the Oregon Department of Education. Districts and schools are compared on measures such as state assessments in English/Language Arts, Math, and Science, demographic characteristics, graduation rates, and more. The staff of Duniway Middle School is dedicated to ensuring academic excellence for all students by supporting them to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in school and life, as they become critical thinkers that are college- and career-ready.
At Duniway, we remain focused on using research-based instructional strategies that have been proven to increase student achievement and accelerate learning and using student performance data to guide instruction, identify individual student
needs, and target academic interventions and enrichments. Personalizing instruction better enables students to catch-up, keep-up, and move-up, so that they can realize their full potential. As parents, you can help your student succeed by monitoring homework, asking questions about school and what they’re learning, monitoring that they read at home every day, ensuring they maintain good attendance, volunteering at school, and attending parent/teacher conferences. The Duniway staff is thankful for the parents, students, partners, and community members who help us to create and maintain a learning environment in which students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Thank you, Principal
