Fine & Country Marbella

Living in Spain since 1986 - I have seen so many changes, both good and bad, in Marbella...but we move onwards and upwards.. I love living in Marbella and enjoying the amazing lifestyle, sunshine and blue skies that we have almost year round. (We do need a little bit of rain in the winter)!. Architecture is one way to track how society is changing. Traditionally houses in Marbella were typical Andalusian style...terracotta tiles, small rooms, windows and open fireplaces...now, open fireplaces are being replaced by underfloor heating..quick and easy to turn on, small windows by floor to ceiling picture windows ..allowing full advantage to be taken of the brilliant Andalusian light..and stunning panoramic views of either the coastline or the beautiful Sierra Blanca hillside and our La Concha mountain...terracotta tiles by smart new flooring and the smaller rooms by wonderful, open plan living areas...with sliding doors opening out on to terraces..indoor outdoor living at its best !
