PROJECT DESCRIPTION

_ _ _

This project focuses on a film festival in honor of a particular filmmaker. The central project will be a hypothetical film festival that will celebrate the work of the chosen director and take on several forms. In the design process, think about the possible execution of design solutions and make a complex set of materials that function together and must be able to expand their design solutions to encompass a wide palette of formats.

In “On Your Way” project, I choose Cameron Bruce Crown as the director. Cameron Crowe is an American actor, author, director, producer, screenwriter and journalist who joined the Rolling Stone staff as an editor when he was young. This experience influences his movies very much. Therefore Cameron Bruce Crowe’s movies include lots of music. In his movie, his characters are looking for what sparks their passion on their way accompanied by inspiring soundtracks. However by pursuing their dreams on the road, they find what they thought was imaginary. In the end they find that what is really important is family, friendship and love. I used multiple deliverables to give a feeling of chasing dreams and exploring what really matters; two central themes in Cameron Crowe’s films.

TYPE OF PROJECT

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

_ _ _

This project identified the intentions of a sign based on the content and context of the sign, keeping the same intentions and applying a systems-thinking approach to the project, conceive another genre, media and style that this piece might become. Then, develop new content, then create a system and draft new deliverables to fulfill the intent of the original sign very faithfully. I generated entirely new verbal and visual content based on the intention’s identity. The only element that remains from the original sign is the intention of the message. When generating new content to keep the context of the original sign in mind and new content should be acknowledge to this. Identify and create what will visually join these pieces together as a system (image style, layout, color, type, graphic elements, etc.) and use these in varied amounts on each piece to create a family, but not identical cookie cutter designs.

Since 1917 Girl Scout Cookies have been sold by Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) as one of its major fundraisers to raise funds for local Scout units. Based on this history of Girl Scout Cookies, I rebranded an organic texture feeling to target children who pursue a healthy and positive life style.

Create a well-considered mobile, on-screen, user experience. The research and design of the app must be unique, native and leverage 3 native iPhone functions. Craft a thoughtful, and engaging user experience, as well as the constraints for designing mobile touch interfaces. Apply your classic design skills in terms of layout, type and color in such a way as to quickly communicate and guide the user through your interactive space. The project is broken into sections: discovery and framework, concept, refining, delivery and resources.

I built an organizing app for families who are struggling with excessive items they have. I built this app to make organizing much easier so people could find their stuff anytime based on the location and information of their stuff. In a world where real time information is quick and accurate, it will help group items by location, category, type, and make organizing more convenient through this app.

TYPE OF PROJECT

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

_ _

This project required me to select an event that could otherwise be described in typical time-base measurements (hours, minutes, seconds). It should have a beginning and an end. Then design a format related to my topic, and interesting elements that could be intertwined in this newly re-envisioned timeline.

PROJECT CONCEPT

_ _

I applied graphic elements to describe my experience of getting a hair cut in an American hair salon. The timeline story describes how I communicated with the hair stylist cut with my not perfect English. There are various group elements to display: the hair cutting process, my communication with the stylist my emotion during process and the music that as playing. I developed the format for hair cutting accessories wrap and spray bottle based on the timeline design.
