This is the school assignment work named "balance bike design". It is an opportunity to design based on graphical idea. I did on my own. I got valuable advise from teacher Yongzhan Liu and Yun Wang.
Balance bike Personal work Product design Assignment work
Nov 2017 - Jan 2018 Completed Oct 2018 First Edited/ Typesetting
Background of the object
Since the object of design has been determined, I have to understand what it is. Children balance bike is a kind of training bicycle that helps children to learn balance skills, paving their way to ride a real bike in the future. Balance bike has no transmission system, children have to keep their balance, move and stop the bike by feet. It is the suitable tool for 2 - 5 years old kids to transport, exercise and entertain themselves. This project aims to design a new balance bike which does good to children’s development.
Inspiration
I started the design with graphical ideas depends on unconsciousness, I drew initial script without complex thinking.
I associated the graphic with a wooden horse.
Divergent thinking with a more wooden-hourse-like shape based on the chosen initial idea. Basically about connections as well as possible shape on other perspectives.
User research Children at the age of 2 - 5 are sensitive to sound stimulation, the brain develops under the stimulation of sound. Besides, children need encouragement, children balance bikes are no exception. So I came up with an idea to encourage kids riding balance bike by sound. I was inspired by a kind of windmill that makes special sound while the blade moving by the wind pass.
Prototype The previous rotating part I designed has an inadequate strength. So I refined it into another structure. Then I explored appropriate appearance of the new structure, ended up with the last one.
I worked out the structure and its appearance by model making. I printed it out to examine its strength of the rotating part.

Play-bake ware Personal work Product design Final project of graduation
Nov 2017 - Jun 2018 Completed Nov 2018 First Edited/ Typesetting
Research of background
This is an assigned project on product for kids, so I started with researches ( thesis work ). Finally I decided to design baking utensils as a toy, for parent-child bakery class.
Ideation
The initial idea of this product design is a modification work on baking ware, trying to provide 3-6 years old children value of emotional interaction with their parents and development of their intelligence.
Normal baking tools are products of efficiency. By using them, cookies will be ready in very short time, people use them to “work”.
Positioning Design for parents and children. Design for activities happen in parent-child bakery classroom.
Normal baking tools are adapted to industrial production, cheap enough but not that usable for children.
ViP Analysis
“Play” & Do it with parents: Children are game lovers at the age of 3-6, which is also the best period to improve their intelligence, the more they interact with parents, the better their intelligence will be developed.

* In addition, children grow fast and change a lot in this special period, there is still several stages within 3-6 years old, younger kids are still primarily cognitive learners while the elder kids are eager for creativity. So that I chose 2 types of games to cater to children under different intelligence stages.
Design Mood board and element:
Size dimension:
Material: ( non-toxic ) 1. Mixing bow : Melamine resin. 2. Scraper 1 : Metal core and silica gel. 3. Scraper 2 : Melamine resin. 4. Rolling pin : Melamine resin and silica gel. 5. 6. Molds set 1 & 2 : Melamine resin.
Design description: 1. Mixing bow : There is a sucking disc on the bottom to prevent moving, the edge projects inward to scrape the batter. 2. 3. Scraper 1 & 2 : Four arris prevents slipping. 4. Rolling pin : Easy to put on rings which controls the hight of cookies. Could be used in several ways since no handle's lead. 5. Molds set 1: Try to solve the problem! How can I cut cookies out with out gap? What can I puzzle with these cookies? 6. Molds set 2: Try to solve the problem! Which head matches the foot print? How can I print them on both side of cookies?

Refine
I found more problems after inviting users trying to make cookies with the 3D printed play-bake-ware and real food material. Playability and interactivity are still under improving. Together with the result of an interview done during the exhibition, I redesigned the product.
Prototype: 1. The molds are too small to make cookies in appropriate size, and pattern on cookies are blurry. 2. It is still difficult for younger kids between the age of 3-6 to complete the mixing process even with the help of their parents. They are not strong enough to mix food material together, leading to distractions and less fun. 3. Children tend to touch food material directly by hand instead of with tools during the most difficult mixing process. 4. It is good for children to operate with both hands which does good to the development of their intelligence. 5. Parents need to communicate with kids in the process that kids using molds to cut cookies, parents tend to use description combining animal image with its color.
New design: 4. Scraper 2 is combined with rolling pin, as a largest ring. 2. 3. Mixing bow and scraper 1 is changed into a mixing bag.
5. Color of the molds are inriched.
1. Size of molds are changed.

I got involved in every step of design process, we discussed and decided everything together. Generally, I contributed more in the following part: topic finding, research, element of the design, explaination of design, and typesetting. The scenario was drew by my partner, and I'm grateful for his support when we were making 3D model, it was the toughest time for both of us, we got through it together.

Health and nutrition
Helping migrant children and their families thrive through providing comprehensive services within their communities that nurture and develop their potentials.
Child protection Collaboration
This program targets the primary school migrant children living in a migrant community, helping explore their hobbies by providing access to a safe place with a variety of creative, physical, and social activities. Through drama, handcrafts, reading, games, and classes, the ASP program fosters positive learning attitudes, enriches interests, and helps develop full potential of migrant children.

But actually model on the left just won’t work. Because most migrant children have strong affection needs. They prefer making noise to attract my attention rather than following my instructions to think deeper. Finally I have to admit that love and safety are much more important than learning self-adjust methods for migrant children at this age. Knowledge is meaningless without foundation of growing up strong and happy. I adjusted my teaching model in the last few lectures.

of the selling price is wasted by the transportation.
When fresh live fish are wanted, the goods have to travel for a long distance, causing transportation pressure, air pollution and loss of cargo. In Beijing, traffic jam is serious, emission of trucks contributes the most to air pollution. It is necessary to reduce the use of fossil fuel as well as ground transportation.

How fish line transport fish: Water in the tube will be accelerated by a system based on water presure, taking live fish from main station to secondary stations with high speed under smart control. With smart delivery system, fish will be sent to an assigned pond, waiting to meet their purchaser who orders them by an app.

Background People always answer the cell phone while riding an electrombile, especially for couriers who are so busy driving on the road all day long and have to answer the phone from the customers all the time. More than just couriers, Over 90% drivers have been made a phone call while driving on the road. But calling when driving can seriously rise the possibility of car accidents about 4 times, causing over 1/3 of traffic accidents during 2014 in China.
Solution
To solve this problem, I designed a system making the smart phone a key to an electrombile.
There is a supporter in the front of the head of an electrombile, it works as a power
