A message from Fanshawe President Peter Devlin
"Fanshawe is where innovation meets education."
That was the response I received from ChatGPT when I asked it, “what’s happening at Fanshawe College?”
Innovation is reshaping our world. Tools like ChatGPT and other generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools have changed the way people work in many different industries. Our society needs bold solutions to the complex challenges we face, and a workforce ready to use exciting new technology to solve these challenges. Fanshawe is ready to lead the way.
We believe everyone can be an innovator. To do this we must empower our people and unleash their creative potential. After all, people are Fanshawe’s greatest asset. We seek to shape an innovation culture rooted in bold thinking, openness, collaboration and diversity. We seek to support our innovators through expanded research, innovation pathways and a robust innovation ecosystem to scale ideas and achieve goals.
In January 2024, we celebrated the grand opening of Innovation Village. This stunning space at the heart of Fanshawe’s London Campus is a gathering place, an incubator and a marketplace for ideas. It’s where students, faculty and staff can develop passions, enrich learning, realize projects and interact with our community.
The opening of Innovation Village is an important milestone in Fanshawe’s commitment to fostering innovation in all we do. Innovation is at the core of Fanshawe’s vision of unlocking potential. When we harness the power of creative ideas and novel approaches, we unlock immense potential for our College and our communities.
Fanshawe is indeed where innovation meets education. I invite all employees, students and members of our community to explore Innovation Village. Join us as we begin this exciting new chapter at Fanshawe.
