At this time I was confident enough of my animation work to take over the complete design of the Changer. I established a new title lettering style, a new logo, and added many decorative noodlings throughout, and began a regular series of cover designs. This one was based on a phenomenon I had noticed in post-war Los Angeles. Many elegant old homes, being expensive to maintain, began to build commercial offices and shops into

their ground floors. This one happily sported a record shop! The Cat shows the proper way to bring up a kid, and then indicates the progression of his jazz perceptions.
