Olympic Stadium AESTETHIC LANDMARK – Crocodiles & Cocoons

THE JEWEL OF THE GAMES The Stadium will be the jewel of the games as the transformation of the old stadium will be into the shape of a green roofed crocodile; Our beloved Hero CROCODILE THE MASCOT. The Metropolitan Municipality together with the citizens are supporting for 99 % this new design after a design contest. Home of the one and only football club of this green city, namely BURSASPOR FC, that was establishedin 1963, has done a big job in coordination with the city authorities to get rid of the old stadium, as whole the project was in the same timelap when Turkey became candidate for EURO 2016. Nowadays the club plays in the Turkish Superleague. The Stadium will host the opening and closing ceremonies and it will be also the PLAZA for the Medal ceremonies at the foot of the Olympos and ancient city center. Stadium will have metro acces and will be built parellel in 2013. Bursa is known for her cocoon-factories where the purest Silk in the world is beeing produced. The historical saying of the SILK-ROAD begins here .. in Bursa.

BursaRail Metro Transport System TAKING CHALLENGES - Ambitious Project

THE CHALLENGE Bursa has at the moment for 50 km a Light-Metro System. This line will be expanded to 80 km. On the other hand a SPEED RAIL will be built from the NEW CITY AIRPORT to the City Center. This line will be integrated with the already existing line between Istanbul and Ankara. The distance between the Airport and the integration line is approximitly 22 km. Post Games use of the facilites will be never easy as before as new generations will excercise their branches in a first class sports resort. (2 hours distance with the big cities) The Challenge will be the rail from the City Center to the Uludag Ski Resort. This is the difficult part of rail transport and will be built/finished between 2013-2018 with about 33 km. It will be also the biggest challenge to reach our goal...

Focus on Olympians IN THE EPICENTER OF THE GAMES

DESERVING THE BEST Without Athletes we wont have an Olympic Games. They deserve the BEST conditions. Olympians will be accommodate in the best comfortable bungalows of 4, 6, 8 or 16 unites each. The officials and technical staff will be housed in the main academy center building. This new oval building will serve as the future Sports Academy of the city. The Olympic Restaurant will be housed here as the roof will be built in high-tec transparant glass. The heavy-metro will pass under the the village as the speed tram will pass each 5 minutes trough the village. The athletes will have instant acces with different transportation options.

Innovative Ideas OLYMPIC BOULEVARD & BAZAAR

OLYMPIC BAZAAR The modern roofing of the bazaar at the ancient city quarter will be transferred to the Olympic Village. Just in front of the Village there will be created a roofed boulevard with white –tec blankets. This boulevard will serve for two important issues; firstly the athletes will have an alternative for the nightlife possibilities whereas both sides will be swinged up with stands. Everybody will have the possibility to taste Glühwein from the Alp Region or a good shaked warm yoghurt drink Sahlep from the middle east. Secondly this modern bazaar will be a meetand-greet place between athletes and the public. Heating technologies will be used in whole the ±800 meters long street. At the same time one side of the boulevard will be used to the rise-up of the delegations flags.

From the Palace you have an overview of the stadium, cauldron, media and olympic village, and whole the Olympic Park till the Ski-Jumping Venue just next to the Palace. Infact, the IOC top will be witness of live jumpings in front of their eyes.
