Content There are a lot of motivators and as more people like Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Tony Robbins, and others recited Maltz’s story. But people forgot that he said “it takes a minimum of about 21 days” shortened it to, “It takes 21days to form a new habit.” And that’s how people began the common myth everywhere that it takes “21 days” to become automatic. It’s remarkable how often these timelines are quoted as statistical facts. It could be quite a dangerous lesson - if the majority of people say something more often time, then every single one starts to believe it.

30

altz (American cosmetic surgeon) started noticing a strange pattern among his patients. When he would perform an operation (Facial operation) on their patients, Dr. Maltz got that it would take around 21 days to get used to seeing their new face. He also not noticed those patients who had an arm or leg amputated, they would sense a phantom limb for about 21 days before adjusting a new situation.

EXCELLENT GLOBAL ENDEAVORS LLP

Later, he did experiments on himself to change behavior, he found that it took himself around 21 days to form a new habit. He wrote these experiences “These, and many other commonly observed phenomena tend to show that it requires a minimum of about 21 days for an old mental image to dissolve and a new one to jell.”

Building renowned brands worldwide

In 1960, Dr. Maxwell Maltz launched a book called “Psycho-Cybernetics,” in this book he has written his thoughts on behavior changes. The book went viral all across the country and become popular – till now over 30 million copies have been sold – this situational observation has become accepted as fact.

It makes sense why the “21 days.” become popular among the people. It’s easy to keep in mind the time frame and short enough to be inspiring, but most important long enough to be believable. In fact, who wouldn’t like to replace bad behavior with a good one after 21 days? But, the reality is that Maxwell has written the whole book according to observation: what was going on around him and how he experienced the experiment himself. There isn’t any claim on it. In addition, he ensured to say that this was the min amount of time needed to adopt a new habit.

TECHNOLOGY

Dopamine is a very crucial chemical massager in the brain that strengthens the behavior and creates the craving to do it again. This is why most people crave drugs even they know in the end it will be harmful.

In 2009, published an article on European of Social Psychology, psychologists Phillippa Lally, H. M. Van Jaarsveld, Henry … Potts and jane Wardle (University College London, London, UK) made a research on 96 volunteers (30 men, 66 women) for 12 weeks, each person chose different behavior like 31 to choose a drinking behavior, 34 an exercise behavior, 4 mediation, and 27 choose eating behavior as per the article. The research acknowledged that, on average it takes more than 9 weeks before a new habit becomes automatic – 66 days to be exact. However, it ultimately depends on a lot of things like the habit we chose, a person, and the circumstances. According to DR. Lally, the time it took anywhere from 18 days to 254 days to become habitual of a new habit – not 21 days.

32

The reason because your brain likes habits because they are efficient. When you automate common actions, you realize mental resources for other activities.

FORBES FACILITY SERVICES PVT. LTD. (FFSL)

The most interesting thing, the study also found out, “Missing one opportunity to perform the behavior didn’t materially affect the habit formation process.” In another world, no matter if you mess up from time to time. Becoming habitual of new behavior is not all or nothing.

Facebook introducing the Newest Shopping AI

As per a 2012 study, published the British Journal of General Practice -- you can find on NCBI, “habits are defined as actions that are triggered automatically in response to contextual cues that have been associated with their performance.” Let’s take an example to understand this statement--when you hop on the car, you intuitively put on the seat belt. You don’t think at all about doing it. have you asked the question why?

34

Shares Its Pride On Achieving The Coveted ‘Blue Flag Certification’ There isn’t any right or wrong timeline. The only timeline that value is the one that works best for you. Besides, if you are making a commitment to bring changes in your life. keep doing that without focusing time of period.

Most often question ask why don’t we throw our bad habits in the trash even if I know something’s bad for us? A lot of people want to quit smoking, Drugs, and alcohol (a bad habit) but they don’t. For this research, NIH funded scientists have been looking for the question. According to Dr. Russell Poldrack (a neurobiologist at the University of Texas at Austin) “Pleasure-based habit so much harder to break. Enjoyable behaviors can prompt your brain to release chemical call dopamine.”

NEEV BUILDTECH

Helping you to take the most important Financial Decision of your Life - Buying your Dream Home

I

Kajal Dobhal | Business Connect n the Atharva Ved it has been scripted, “Duty is God; Work is Worship.” For some, this meant the 9 to 5 job; which became their duty and even a place of worship. However, some exceptional souls chose not to walk the laid path, instead, they set out to create their duties and place for worship. Your work might claim first place in your list of duties. However, for obvious reasons, you might have noticed (once you popped your head up from the cubicle) that the world around you is changing. People switch their jobs more often, economics is enmeshed with social issues, and employees want to be respected for their interests, skills, and values — not just for what they produce. Our protagonists, Vikram and Virender Tanwar too ventured out to do more with their lives. Hailing from a very humble background of farmers and defence, from a village called Tigrana in Bhiwani district of Haryana, both Vikram and Virender during their college years were prepared to lead a professional life with a 9 to 5 job, relaxing weekends, but not destined for it. A few years into this dreamt life, the duo saw the need to revamp their lives. They realized that life as they knew it has much to offer beyond a secured job and relaxing weekends. And thus, Neev Buildtech was incepted. Neev Buildtech is an independently owned real estate brand dealing in services catering to residential, commercial, and industrial buyers & sellers. It is also a RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Act) registered company with No. 0448/2017. The services include sale, purchase, and rental management to ensure the entire experience of buying, selling, and leasing is seamless and with a world-class service experience. Derived from the Hindi word that translates to ‘Foundation’ in the English language, Neev truly lives up to its name. At Neev, the focus is laid on establishing a solid foundation of the relationship with customer. Neev is a real estate solutions company wherein ‘Fair & best deal’ is the essence of every relationship, and delivering end-to-end services under one roof is a promise.

Virender comments, “A dedicated team with high motivation is the key driver for any organization. We value our team above each Key tool of growth. Today, the team consists of key team members who come from IITs, IIMs, engineering, management, and a highly diverse set of backgrounds, boosting our growth story. We are a much more than just another qualified and professional team, as we are highly dedicated towards our work & passionate about customer happiness”. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 4 | Special Edition December 2021 INDIA

DESIGNING AND DELIVERING HOMES CONSTRUCTED BY THE BEST PROFESSIONAL TEAM IN DELHI/NCR

When Neev team realized that except for the high-rise buildings or mega projects, houses were made with a cookie-cutter approach that hardly fulfilled any aspirations or dreams, Nitara was conceptualized. They also realized that the Independent House/Villa construction industry is highly unorganized and have a huge scope of improvements.

“Owning a house is the biggest financial decision that any individual makes in his overall life where a piece of plausible advice could be life-changing”, asserts the founding father of Neev Buildtech and Nitara Projects Limited,

BEATING THE ODDS TO REDEFINE REAL ESTATE

What started as a 2 friends’ setup, soon grew into a 10+ team and is today a 120+ people strong family. In less than a decade, Neev Buildtech owns 7 offices in Gurugram. However, the road to this juncture was not all smooth.

As Vikram says, “The journey has been through some rigid sails where our non-business background, on the one hand, gave us tough times. On the other hand, it also helped us think unconventionally. At, times we were even unaware of risks and acted that gave us both success and brickbats. But I feel we have been ahead of the curve most of the time. A clear example is Nitara Project Ltd, our flagship construction company commenced under Neev Buildtech Pvt. Ltd.”

Vikram adds, “In our observation, this impacted the trust a customer could place in the mid-size but quality projects”. To bridge this gap, Neev Buildtech launched its first construction project in 2014. Six years into operation, the construction arm of Neev has delivered almost 30 independent, residential buildings in Gurugram. “This growth story makes us feel that we have been both blessed and destined to have taken this entrepreneurial challenge and successfully built a fastgrowing enterprise that has grown beyond the real estate business,” continued him.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HOUSE & A HOME

Virender Tanwar, explains the need for homes, more than just houses, “From the mega projects to the small residential properties, property owners or builders sell houses and pitch it as homes. We all know the emotional association is what differentiates a house from a home. So, are they really selling home? We don’t think so. Unless the house speaks your choices, gives the best of the quality material, and is custom made for you and your family, we feel it still stays as a house and takes time to evolve into a home. At Nitara Group, we start customizing the moment walls are ready.” Therefore, Nitara conceptualized the 25 Bliss concept. Nitara offers 25 unique promises, some tangible and some intangible, but all are transparent and documented, delivered with exceptional service. The customers know what they are paying for that makes dealing with the Nitara team, a great experience. Few of the Bliss points are.

PEOPLE CULTURE

What differentiates Nitara Projects Ltd and Neev Buildtech from most other enterprises in the real estate/construction business is the prevailing work culture. The firm never addresses its people with designations. They consider every person on board as an equal contributor and valued asset. Transparent processes, an open-door policy, and the belief that the learning can come from anywhere have been the factors driving the firm’s growth. For the years to come, both the companies are constantly working on enhancing the skillset of the team, including training and development by team leaders internally in the company and training by outside agencies. Business intelligence and an increase in data volumes are things they are constantly working on to enhance its deliverables. Being a fairly new venture, Vikram and Virender take pride in being in close association with industry leaders like M3M, DLF, Adani, Emaar, Omaxe, Vatika, AIPL, and others. Time and again, the firm has proved to be one of the front runners in terms of performance and Top line sales numbers in the Delhi/ NCR real estate market.

VIRENDER TANWAR

VIKRAM TANWAR

COO & Joint Managing Director

CEO & Joint Managing Director

ABOUT THE FOUNDERS

VIRENDER TANWAR is an Engineer- Information Technology. Though he was not cut out for the corporate regime, Virender truly feels that he had the entrepreneurial DNA and eventually forayed in the same to accomplish success. While he has worked with giants like IBM in consultancy & IT training, the Real Estate business was his true calling. At Neev Buildtech, Virender takes his role of a ‘Manager of Relationships’ very seriously. He says, “And I believe the more we invest in it, the better business we will build tomorrow.”

MBA-Sales & Marketing by qualification, Vikram in his professional stint has led large teams for sales, marketing & business development. He has a rich experience of 18+ years in various industries like Banking, Insurance and Real Estate. Vikram has been at helm of Neev Buildtech from inception and has brought it to where it has. Vikram believes that, ‘Success is a journey and only happy customers can deliver that.’

A PARTNERSHIP THAT ACCOMPLISHED WONDERS

Vikram and Virender have been childhood friends from as early as it gets. It is the bonding and distinctness in their nature that strengthens the duo. As per Virender, “We totally believe that two of us can progress on our vision in the best way when we don’t duplicate efforts, or spend our skills and time on the same task.” “We are each other’s best critics,” Vikram adds, “We know each other’s weaknesses so well, at times we even counsel each other on how we can do better, be a better customer-facing person, and customer-friendly organization. This is what helps us become a better business leader.” As per both Vikram and Virender, their roles have constantly changed over the years. In the yesteryears, they played multiple roles. But as the business grew, they had to focus on specific leadership roles, and that’s when Vikram decided to lead the Marketing and Finance. In contrast, Virender took over the business-critical role of Liasoning & team management. Despite growing from a 10 member to over 100, the duo never shies away from rolling up their sleeves and leading from the front. Depending on what is expected of them by the team, they even take a passive role. Besides, these shifts in the roles are not just transactional but also strategic decisions. It is the camaraderie that has helped grow Neev Buildtech to its current levels and will continue to do so in the coming days.

Mark Zuckerberg

The Entrepreneur Who Took Social Networking to the Next Level

Mark Zuckerberg, the man who came up with an idea that helped people to connect with each other around the world. Facebook has not just changed the entire social networking landscape but it has also been successful in the way how millions of people are communicating and keeping in touch with their dear ones.

EARLY LIFE OF MARK ZUCKERBERG Mark Elliot Zuckerberg was born in White Plains, New York, on May 14th, 1984. He was born to an educated family, being the second of four children and the only son to the family. Edward Zuckerberg is Marks’ father, he is a dentist who also had a dental practice next to the family house, and his mother, Karen Zuckerberg is a psychiatrist. Arielle, Randi and Donna are Mark’s three sisters and all of them were raised in Dobbs Ferry, New York. Mark at an early age had developed an interest in computer programming. At the age of twelve, Mark Zuckerberg had created a messaging program that was named ‘ZuckNet’, which was implemented by him as an inter-office communication system for his father’s dental practice.

He showed signs of success in his early age, due to which his parents hired a computer programming tutor at the time when he was still in high school in order to provide him with some private lessons. His parents made him enrolled in a prep school in Hampshire. There he showed excellent results in literature and science, also received a degree in classics. After getting graduated from prep school, Mark Zuckerberg enrolled himself at Harvard University.

THE STEP TOWARDS SUCCESS

At the time when Mark Zuckerberg was at Harvard University, he built programs like CourseMatch that helped students to choose their subjects according to the lists of courses from other users. The other program that he built was FaceMash, he created this by hacking the database of Harvard. Both the programs had become wildly popular, but it was supposed to be inappropriate due to which the university made it shut.

Mark Zuckerberg had partnered with his friends in order to create a social networking site. The website was only allowed within Harvard students to connect with each other. It officially went live in June 2004 and was named as “The Facebook”.

Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook was successful in not only turning Facebook into a billion-dollar company before the age of thirty but also he made it all while being sued by his former colleagues and business partners.

After the second year, Mark Zuckerberg dropped out from the college as his focus was to pursue Facebook for full-time. By the end of 2004, the website had reached to one million users. Facebook grew from a company that experienced various legal troubles to a company that is being used worldwide.

After the extraordinary success of Facebook, the man behind the social media platform was being noticed by people. Mark Zuckerberg is also known as one of the most influential people in the world and, in terms of net worth, he is also one of the richest person.

With the easiest way of communication, Facebook is a medium that helps you to connect with a family member or a friend that is far away from you. Since the inception of Facebook, it has come across many issues including settling of numerous lawsuits but it didn’t stop Facebook from growing.

CONCLUSION

Eight years ago, it all started with a coding project in Mark Zuckerberg’s dorm room and now that coding project made Mark being the Facebook owner. Facebook is known as the world’s largest social networking platform, which helps in connecting people. A single Facebook search will help you to reach someone who is far away.

DevLabs management has a total IT industry experience of about 60 years, which is both robust and rewarding. Deepak along with Co-founders believe that the key to any business is knowing one’s strengths and focusing 100 percent on them with all pistons firing. They explains this with an example “ We began with a variety of technologies, such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and big

data, but rapidly found that there were several major participants in these fields. We then had a brainstorming session and decided to focus our strategy on our areas of expertise, which were Testing Automation and DevOps. The tides were on our side, and we were able to become market leaders in these technologies.”

“ By sitting together, we solve day-to-day challenges and problems. Each good concept is welcomed, and we consistently improve our model and working style based on each fruitful idea. We think that we should listen to our employees and act on their ideas and suggestions because they are the ones who have a thorough understanding of your business. The game for your business is built by living and sharing with them in an open culture. We believe in the Learn, Do, and Teach technique. As leaders, we must first learn, then implement and instruct our teams. This way, we can create a win-win situation for everyone.”

Their initiatives on these two technologies are unique, and individuals from all over the world are interested in them, particularly from Europe, North and South America.” “ Corporates and professionals from all over the world are contacting us to sign up for forthcoming events and training. We are a firm that is always expanding and improving, and we respond immediately to any client input. Those changes are visible to our consumers daily.” adds Deepak.

CONCLUDING THOUGHTS

As we moved towards the end of our conversation we asked the co-founder that as a businessman what’s his advice to budding entrepreneurs and he explains with some uplifting examples:

BEATING THE ODDS

Deepak along with Co-founders explain that the Covid outbreak in March 2020 made them uneasy since they had lost a significant client.

“ If you’ve considered putting yourself in an Entrepreneurial shoe, put them on and start walking. Never, ever, will the perfect day arrive to ensure your success. The most significant characteristics on this road are risk-taking and confidence. Pay attention to your inner self and go for it. We are afraid of 9 out of 10 circumstances that will never happen in our lives. If we meet one failed event, there is a 99 percent chance that we will overcome it. If we take a step ahead, permutations and combinations are always to our advantage. Just keep in mind that “Version ONE is always better than Version NONE.” So, just get started and confront it.”

“It was our lone client, on whom we were completely reliant, and on whom we produced 90% of our revenue,” Deepak explains. The ability of all the co-founders to not sit and take a step back was a game-changer for the firm. Through their freshly hired marketing staff, the team increased their digital footprint and achieved substantial success over the following 2-3 months. The team quickly realized that the present market condition necessitates digital and virtual business enablement. For DevLabs Alliance, it proved to be a game-changer. Since then, there has been no turning back. “ One significant development, I would like to mention here, ‘’ adds Deepak. SDET (Automation Testing with developmental knowledge) was a less touched subject in the Education IT industry but its demand was turning out very high in the major IT companies. Our R&D team, through its rigorous efforts, could find that skill-set gap in the market. Leadership took the instant decision and developed the capabilities and infrastructure to start that program, first at the India level and then at the global level. It became a super-hit program and is also one of the topselling products in DevLabs Alliance.”

DEVLABS ALLIANCE’S TOP-NOTCH CULTURE BOILS DOWN TO THESE 3 PRINCIPLES, SAYS THE CO-FOUNDER

Everyone wants their voice to be heard and for their view to be valued. Not only are you encouraged to communicate at DevLabs Alliance, but you are also held accountable for helping to make the firm a better place. DevLabs believes in its workers and treats them as such. As a result, the employees exhibit improved cooperation which results in better performance output. If you expect employees to accept leadership’s direction and be entirely committed to the vision, you must be open and honest with them believes the co-founder

5 Things you need to know before going on detox diets Detox diets and Cleanses are the most followed diet plan by people. This generally short-term dietary intervention is designed to reduce toxins from your body. However, many have opposite opinions. There are views that no such thing as detoxification exists, which is just not true. Our body has systems and organs of detoxification, including the urinary system, liver system, lymphatic system, skin, and the instance. Suboptimal detoxification is defined as health conditions and weight loss resistance. On the flip side, there are many who have been following detox diets for a long time. They have become very restrictive and can in themselves include nutrient deficiencies. It must be only done strategically and with monitoring.

Health

What is the need for a detox diet?

As I said before, it is a short-term intervention to the systems or organ of detoxification, wherein your body can aid those to advance their function, such as promoting weight loss, improving mental clarity, digestion, and more. They often involve the use of laxatives, diuretics, vitamins, minerals, teas, and other food consumption, which have detoxing properties. Throughout the detox diet course, which system you want to detoxify, you will need to prevent specific foods, including alcohol, caffeine, processed foods, salt, sugar, wheat, red meat, cheese, cream, oil, fats, and specific vegetables. The liver and the lymphatic system work fine with a fat-free diet. Specific vegetables or fruit consumption may be advised. On this diet plan, it is encouraged that you eat organic.

What should you consider with a detox diet?

Usually, a detox diet is followed under qualified nutritionists, who can understand the system and navigate how to manage nutrients necessity and any detoxification symptoms, that can occur.

A detox diet is not a weight loss diet plan. A detox diet is not defined as a weight loss diet, and it should not be. Many detox diets do restrict calories, and when people start losing weight, they continue to follow the term for a long time. The weight loss that you experience as a benefit of a detox diet, usually leads to loss of cellular fluids and emptying of glycogen stores from the liver. Staying on this diet for a long time can impact muscles leading to loss of protein stores, and when you go back to normal diet eating, also regain the weight. It can root cause of the decline in basal metabolic rate and deterioration of health status. The diet is used to improve the function of detoxification systems, which can then strengthen your tendency to lose weight once you return to a regular diet.

Do not start a detox diet because it is a fad or someone has told you so. Many people follow a detox diet because they think it is a fad, or someone (friend and family) have recommended to them, this should not be. Because your body type is different than others, and in such a case, it needs different approaches. You should find one who can direct you with what is needed for you specifically based on your signs, body type, and even lab makers. Avoid beginning with a juice cleanse, which can be popular. However, there are a lot of people out there who need a detox diet cannot manage the blood sauger fluctuation that happens from a juice cleanse. Start the diet by just avoiding those foods which are hard to digest. Just giving your digestive system a little bit of break can be the best detox diet. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 4 | Special Edition December 2021 INDIA

24

Never ever do a detox diet as a purge for eating bad food. It happens quite often where people continually swing between binge drinking or eating and green juice cleanses. Some cleanses even use this as their marketing tool to advise that you can fix your weekend of binge drinking with a juice cleanse. It could be harmful and ineffective for your body. It can just end up hurting the system and making the health of the gut microbiome worse. A detox diet basically reset the internal harmony and reduce the suboptimal detoxification organ of your body. A Detox diet is not a way to the right course after overeating desserts or sweets in the festival. When you do that, it slowly triggers the mindset that you can eat anything and solve it with a cleanse, which increases the chance of eating disorders. This can also happen if you avoid eating specific foods for too long and, later, you get scared of eating them.

Do a detox diet only when you are physically and mentally ready. To get ready for this diet, it takes a lot of preparation to put together foods based on specific intent and recommendations. Many people go on a detox diet enthusiastically, but later they give up in the middle of course, because it needs a different eating methodology. If you are preparing food for yourself, it would be great if you take a few days extra from the actual detox diet course to understand the food preparation, their ingredients, and plan how will you put them together. If you are depending on someone, make sure he/she is on board. Many people also end up struggling because of the less food prep skills of the detox diet. It is also important to prepare mentally, being on Detox diets, you may feel angry, overwhelmed, or weepy. It basically triggers an emotional purging. So, you should know before going on the diet.

Better to do a simple detox diet. You can follow a simple detox diet, such as avoiding alcohol, caffeine, fried food, and sugar. Implementing a more challenging detox diet ought to be under guidance. If you consider this diet as an unwanted fat reducer to support the liver, it must be done only short term. Keeping up a detox diet in long term can cause mental health issues, as our brain needs more fats. Juice cleanses should be taken more than a day. If you have headaches or dizziness, your body probably has blood sugar imbalances, and a juice cleanse is not the place to start. In conclusion: - The key point to keep in mind is that the Detox diet is not meant to be followed for a long time and must be followed under guidance. 25

COVID -19 and growing trade tensions have made revamping supply chains a more imperative priority for many organizations. In response to Covid -19 operations spent months tracking material shipments manually, trying to map Tier 2, Tier 3 suppliers and shifting production to new locations. These actions do not fix the cracks in the foundation of supply chains and might only blunt the impact of disturbance. The pandemic has pushed technology supply chains to their limit. For the last 30 years technology firms have wrung out supply chain costs and trimmed as much as possible by disaggregating the various steps of the supply chain, concentrating each step with a limited number of companies and geographies to improve economies of scale by reducing inventory across the journey. This has made technology supply chains extremely efficient in normal economic climate however when disaster strikes they break down. The geographical con-

centration of production has created single points of failure i.e. dependency on China for motherboards, electronics manufacturing services, on US for semiconductor equipments, CPU, graphic cards. In order to stay competitive globally and remain on the cutting edge of a complex business world, more companies are incorporating technology into their supply chain systems today. Technology solutions will play a vital role in increasing speed of delivery. Facebook introducing the Newest Shopping A I For those of you have ever daydreamt of being able to click photo and buy it, whether it’s your favorite celebrities’ suit or the things that they use very often, a giant social media company Facebook has proclaimed it’s moving ahead toward e-commerce game with a brand new and unique shopping experience that is powered by AI. On May 19, 2020, in a Facebook Live, Mark Zuckerberg (Founder& CEO of Facebook) has made a statement a snap-and-shop feature that will allow users to purchase, sell and identify products seamlessly all over the Facebook platform. An auto-tagging feature – is coming on the Facebook page very soon, now autofill product description upon uploading, facilitate it to rank in search and share or exchange information in all languages. The company has the intention to make all images shoppable across its app, and in time, videos too. Though Facebook’s new shopping AI doesn’t have users-facing names like Alex, the co-founder Sean Bell named it GrokNet to represent the scale that can analyse data very frequently. Actually, created at GrokStyle, a start-up co-founder by Bell and invested by Facebook, this universal AI model leverages computer version to recognize fine-grained product attributes from the dozens of images. On Facebook Ait blog, the Bell has explained about how their GrokNet’s product work simultaneously analyse billion of disparate verticals like a car, clothing, and home goods. “We built, trained, and deployed a model with 83 loss functions across seven data sets to combine multiple verticals into a single embedding space. For some of the tasks that are really difficult, you need to apply a very large weight on the loss function and you need to apply many images for every batch when training. For easier data sets, you can use a small weight, and just a very small number of images per batch. We then scaled this up across all different data sets and then figured out a way of how to combine everything at once, without compromising on any one of the tasks. We use weekly supervised learning, where a model is arranged in a feedback loop to automatically create additional training data.”

As we all know that Snap-and-shop features have been using for years, by several different big companies like Amazon, Shopify, and Stitch Fix. However, Facebook’s AI team has created advanced segmentation, detection, and classification abilities that allow it to do the seemingly impossible, that recognize unseen products. That means, Facebook AI can recognize a blazer under a t-shirt, and even skirt seated under a desk. In order to get this experience, The AI modal uses a new technique known as “Instance Mask Projection” that is capable to parse clothing and segment street scenes including small details. To ensure accuracy of the forecast and account for a verity of images, Facebook’s team skilled its AI on varying people styles, ages, sound, skin, body structure, location, socioeconomics classes, and many more. “We’re building a system that can look at a picture of your outfit, segment each piece of clothing that you’re wearing, and organize them into a digital close, allowing you to shop anything in the context of what you won,” said Tamara Berg (Facebook AI Researcher). In Future iterations, Facebook is hoping to launch an AI lifestyle assistant that helps users in different areas like AR try-outs to share with friends, wardrobe management, personalized recommendations of products to purchase, and many others. Facebook has been testing augmented reality with advertising brands such as Ray-Ban, NYX, and NARS that allow consumers to try sunglasses, lipstick, and other things virtually.

All product’s images will be uploaded in 3D with rotating views and Facebook Shops and e-commerce allow businesses to set up Facebook and Instagram storefronts for free, Also WhatsApp integration coming very soon. For those of you have been waiting to transact on the platform. “We’re hoping to play a role in helping small businesses get through this difficult time and thrive long term,” said Mark. According to Statista.com, With over 2.6 billion monthly active users across the world in the first quarter of 2020. The world still under the COVID-19 pandemic restriction. In such a situation, AI-powered social commerce may be a silver lining for Facebook and its users. 33

Forbes Facility Services Pvt. Ltd. (FFSL) Shares Its Pride On Achieving The Coveted ‘Blue Flag Certification’ Indranil Roy | Business Connect FFSL along with the Govt. of India (GOI) proudly confers their joy, on achieving the 8 Blue Flag Certification, in a single attempt. Eight beaches were selected for this acknowledgement, namely Shivrajpur (Gujarat), Ghoghla (Diu), Kasarkod (Karnataka), Kappad (Kerala), Padubidri (Karnataka), Rushikonda (Andhra Pradesh), Golden (Odisha) and Radhanagar (Andaman & Nicobar Islands). FFSL stands proud of managing three of these internationally acclaimed beaches - Shivrajpur (Gujarat), Ghoghla (Diu) and Kasarkod (Karnataka). FFSL was working with the Ministry of Environment (GOI) on this project for the last four years. Managing a beach isn’t a cakewalk, as it requires a result-oriented framework and skilled people, which unfortunately wasn’t available. Hence, FFSL had to start from scratch, working on building an adroit team, convincing the locals about the need and efficiency of beach cleaning. Another thing they did was, acknowledging every cleaner as an ambassador of the Blue Flag Project, which deliberately charged them up. FFSL fostered all kinds of maintenance and associated supports to every crewmate, who put their hard work and sweat into the fruition of this project.

THE BLUE FLAG CERTIFICATION

The coveted blue flag recognition is the world’s foremost certification that covers Beaches, Marinas, and Sustainable Boating Tourism Operators. The accreditation includes stringent quality parameters environmental, educational, safety, and accessibility, that has to be followed without any exception. The international jury of this certification included eminent members from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The certification is conveyed conferred, by the Denmark-based non-profit Foundation for Environmental Education. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 4 | Special Edition December 2021 INDIA

AN OVERVIEW OF FFSL

From Mechanized Housekeeping, Operation and Maintenance, Food Service, Offshore Service Management, Guesthouse Management, Horticulture, to Façade Cleaning and Pest Control, all are governed by FFSL. Incepted in 2005, FFSL is an inclusive part of the famous Eureka Forbes Group and carries the corporate lineage of Shapoorji Pallonji Group. With a demonstrated history of spectacular solutions, FFSL has allied with all industrial verticals ranging from the manufacturing sector to hospitals, hotels, schools and many more. Its quality and commitment to solutions are fortified with certifications, namely ISO:9001, 18001, 14001 and 22000. Now, with the 8 Blue Flag recognition, it’s aiming to become more polished. FFSL carries the same vision as its parent body, “A Happy, Healthy and Safe Pollution-Free Environment based on Trust and Lasting Relationships with Customers”. When the project was still on paper, FFSL had projected a significant infrastructure development required for its fruition. This made them bring Eureka Forbes on board not only for being its parent body but for being the foremost provider of infrastructure. Syncing with the parent body gave FFSL a major upper hand with respect to technical support. “It was a great opportunity where the parent company and the sister concern had jointly taken up a project and successfully completed it. was done to ensure everyone’s safety. The Company also formed a special team, who conducted sanitization programs in other companies. A scalable number of their people across branches did get affected. However, FFSL ensured all the medical facilities and support needed to cure the affected.

TROVE OF MILESTONES AND ACCOLADES

MAJOR CHALLENGES IN THE PROJECT

Convincing locals about the project and marshalling a team of like-minded people, were the two significant challenges, for FFSL. Since this was a pilot project, only four beaches were initially selected that too under strict criteria. The focus was to revamp these beaches to an international level. The locals around the beaches had a stringent ambiguity regarding this project; as such, convincing them that this is something worth doing and has a definite significance on the environment was a daunting task. However, FFSL’s core motivation drove their energy; first, they did in-depth research on what they are trying to achieve. Then, they forayed to make the locals understand the project and build a team of people, having the will and passion towards it. Around 400-500 arduous people were selected (98% local), and FFSL put a considerable effort into training them. Govt. bodies like the BMC and the Collector also took a great interest in the project, which helped them addressing compliances.

STURDY DESPITE THE COVID OUTBREAK

The manufacturing space was widely affected, by the pandemic. Whether its economy, employment or movement of materials, everything faced an unprecedented halt. On top of that, the physical movement was strictly restricted, further increasing the problem by a level. However, FFSL carried a boiling desire to see the successful completion of this project. As such, with an iron will the entire team worked meticulously towards their individual roles and responsibilities. People working at the sites were safeguarded with all preventive measures and Govt. guidelines. Being a significant part of the Country’s economy, some of their services were permitted, with special guidelines off course. FFSL leveraged on digital communication to monitor the daily progress of work and further to stay unified.

Along with the prized milestones that include PAN India presence across 100+ cities, a client base 260 + at 400+ sites, 95% client retention rate, 6000+ dedicated people, ability to serve 65000+ meals/day, managing over 72 million sq ft. of structures, 100% compliance norms and an eminent overseas presence, FFSL has been bestowed with many revered accolades. The Company is the first to win the prestigious IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award. Also, for their astounding efforts in the outbreak, FFSL was given the Safety Award, by Bharat Oman Refineries Ltd., Warriors of COVID-19 by Mankind Pharma and COVID-19 Braveheart by Mondelez.

THE ROAD AHEAD

The safety measures were also rigorously implanted in their offices. Only 15% to 30% of the employees were allowed at the office. Daily sanitization of premises

With a corporate lineage of 150 years, and exceptional maintenance of three ‘Blue Flag’ beaches Shivrajpur (Gujarat), Ghoghla (Diu) and Kasarkod (Karnataka), FFSL sets eye on GOI’s intent to develop - 100 more beaches. The effective transformation of these three beaches has made the locals aware, and they’re approaching the GOI To keep working on this activity. This growing demand is building a propelling pipeline for FFSL. Working in synergy with Environment Ministry and GOI, FFSL envisions to revamp the face of - 40 more beaches, in the coming years.

Accomplishing this project has upscaled FFSL’s already attained position - a notch higher. The Company proudly stands as the cloud borders of its segment and has a history of building the business of many renowned companies. Originating from the industrial pioneer - Eureka Forbes, the Company already has a revered presence for its mechanised cleaning and other housekeeping solutions in diverse industries. Now with recognition on cleaning and maintaining beaches with industrial-grade equipment, FFSL has built strong roots in a much-untapped avenue.

Lifestyle

In the 1950s, Maxwell Maltz (American cosmetic surgeon) started noticing a strange pattern among his patients. When he would perform an operation (Facial operation) on their patients, Dr. Maltz got that it would take around 21 days to get used to seeing their new face. He also not noticed those patients who had an arm or leg amputated, they would sense a phantom limb for about 21 days before adjusting a new situation. Later, he did experiments on himself to change behavior, he found that it took himself around 21 days to form a new habit. He wrote these experiences “These, and many other commonly observed phenomena tend to show that it requires a minimum of about 21 days for an old mental image to dissolve and a new one to jell.” In 1960, Dr. Maxwell Maltz launched a book called “Psycho-Cybernetics,” in this book he has written his thoughts on behavior changes. The book went viral all across the country and become popular – till now over 30 million copies have been sold – this situational observation has become accepted as fact.

There are a lot of motivators and as more people like Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Tony Robbins, and others recited Maltz’s story. But people forgot that he said “it takes a minimum of about 21 days” shortened it to, “It takes 21days to form a new habit.”

Dopamine is a very crucial chemical massager in the brain that strengthens the behavior and creates the craving to do it again. This is why most people crave drugs even they know in the end it will be harmful.

And that’s how people began the common myth everywhere that it takes “21 days” to become automatic. It’s remarkable how often these timelines are quoted as statistical facts. It could be quite a dangerous lesson - if the majority of people say something more often time, then every single one starts to believe it.

It makes sense why the “21 days.” become popular among the people. It’s easy to keep in mind the time frame and short enough to be inspiring, but most important long enough to be believable. In fact, who wouldn’t like to replace bad behavior with a good one after 21 days?

The research acknowledged that, on average it takes more than 9 weeks before a new habit becomes automatic – 66 days to be exact. However, it ultimately depends on a lot of things like the habit we chose, a person, and the circumstances. According to DR. Lally, the time it took anywhere from 18 days to 254 days to become habitual of a new habit – not 21 days.

But, the reality is that Maxwell has written the whole book according to observation: what was going on around him and how he experienced the experiment himself. There isn’t any claim on it. In addition, he ensured to say that this was the min amount of time needed to adopt a new habit.

The most interesting thing, the study also found out, “Missing one opportunity to perform the behavior didn’t materially affect the habit formation process.” In another world, no matter if you mess up from time to time. Becoming habitual of new behavior is not all or nothing.

There isn’t any right or wrong timeline. The only timeline that value is the one that works best for you. Besides, if you are making a commitment to bring changes in your life. keep doing that without focusing time of period.

The reason because your brain likes habits because they are efficient. When you automate common actions, you realize mental resources for other activities.

TELEVITAL SOLUTIONS INC A LEADING NAME IN TELEMEDICINE AND E-LEARNING SOLUTIONS

Indranil Roy | Business Connect

Each team member of TeleVital is deeply motivated by knowing their individual work, which plays a pivotal role in creating a great impact on society acknowledges Mr Rao

T

eleVital is a cutting-edge IT infra-structure Company, leading the business space in two vital pillars of society – healthcare and education. It works with innovative platforms like Telemedicine and E-learning to improve access to qualified medical care and educational content. TeleVital has an installation base in more than 800 hospitals, clinics and educational institutes in India, Africa, USA, and Japan. TeleVital was envisioned to develop innovative platforms and state-of-theart solutions that could ease people’s access to vital information and services without the barriers of time and distance.

Starting its journey from 2002 in Silicon Valley, the Company has devised several trendsetting solutions for the world. One of its Crowning Jewels is VitalWare - the first-ever Cloud-based real-time, remote vital signs monitoring software that is endorsed and used by NASA and ISRO. Another of its gems is its software for home care services provided to Set-Top-Box cable subscribers in partnership with Cox Cable and also to many Universities in USA, Mexico and Japan. Its Smartphone Apps that are widely used in India and in the USA are bringing healthcare to the doorsteps of the patients.

THE ORIGIN

The origin of TeleVital resides in the ingenuity of a veteran entrepreneur Kishore Kumar Rao. During his early years of career, his daughter Deepika was in Mumbai receiving treatment for her nerve damages. Mr. Rao who is a US resident for more than two decades, wanted the specialists from Stanford University and University of California San Francisco to monitor his daughter’s treatment remotely. This need created the motivation for building the cloud-based telemedicine platform. As such, with the encouragement and seed funding from two successful entrepreneurs - BV Jagadeesh and Kumar Malavalli, he deployed and promoted this platform. NASA’s MedITAC consortium used it in Ecuador in 2002, for the first-ever remote anaesthesia monitoring over the Internet, with the intervention of a specialist from the Virginia Commonwealth University, and saved a life five thousand kilometres away. The product was first of its kind and built the foundation for TeleVital’s growth. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 4 | Special Edition December 2021 INDIA

This long chain; mostly distribution, logistics, warehousing, and retail, severely inflated the price of a mattress without reason. In addition, the quality and structure of a mattress being sold at a price like that were nowhere close to being comparable or justified. To top it all, mattress shopping was troublesome with a number of unnecessary choices. Kabir took it in his hands to simplify this process, and make mattress shopping fun and easy while delivering a world-class product through just four simple clicks. Thus SleepyCat was born. From introducing India to the concept of “mattress-in-a-box’, the company has grown into a complete sleep solutions brand where not only does it provide mattresses but also other bedding essentials that add luxury to one’s sleep routine.

Trekkers Adapting to COVID-19 Norms, are Exploring New Tracks Trekking is a social sport, loved by wanderers. Just imagine yourself climbing up to the Himalayas. The satisfaction of reaching to the top and sitting on a cliff, enjoying the enormous surrounding from the top will take away, all your stress. The more realistic way would be to imagine yourself there with a hot cup of tea along with a bowl of Maggi in the chilly weather! Climbing through the Himalayas will assure an experience that can never be forgotten. The willpower to start and finish the trek is a motivation in itself. But trekking was forced to be at a halt for some time due to the Coronavirus pandemic that has taken the world by a storm.

www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 4 | Special Edition December 2021 INDIA

The most difficult days faced by trekkers were the time of lockdown when they were forced to lock themselves down at home for a long period. It is extremely difficult for trekkers to live in four-cornered rooms, who are used to live in tents on the lap of nature. No air condition can provide the cool breeze that nature can give. A pure freshness of tropical forest is everything that a wanderer needs. The pandemic hit hard like a termite who ripped through the layers and made its presence felt. When the entire country was in lockdown, train journeys were on hold and trek routes were forbidden territories. When the lockdown was unfolding slowly, the paths for trekkers were gradually opening too but just like other guidelines, the trekkers also have to get adapted to the new COVID norms. It seems like after a long time, the trekkers are reconciled with their backpacks and jackets filled with dust. Three months back, when the coronavirus was calmly unfolding, a pastor and trekker from Mohali, Daniel Francis looked forward at the journeys to several Himalayan treks. He picked one to Bhrigu Lake, which is one of the well-known routes along Manali’s Himalayan trekking trail. “I plunged into action, as I enjoyed a trek to Hatu Peak. It’s easy if you can drive to Barog from Chandigarh and then take the next stop at Narkanda, which is the beginning of a seven-kilometer trail to the artistic Hatu temple,” shares Francis. Surrendering to nature is what trekkers love to do and by inhaling the much-needed dose of oxygen and embracing the world of nature with a walk on the wild side. A Chandigarh-based trekker, Jashan Chatwal states that whenever a trek in the Himalayas is planned, he not only looks forward to climbing, tent stays, make-shift bathrooms, or the delicious meat curries but also the break from all the noises that exist in the urban lives. “I have been exploring local urban hikes and forgotten parts of the city, discovering gorgeous dead ends and pretty houses around where I live,” says Chatwal.

“ Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all

the happiness and growth occurs while you are climbing it.

– Andy Rooney

It is said that walking in nature is something where you can be lucky to witness a thousand miracles. A passionate hiker, Sheena Singh emphasizes the view, “You have to be super present and that’s what trekking is, it’s being in the moment. It’s not being somewhere else. It’s being in the right now. With COVID-19 numbers going up, I am concerned about the possibility that trails may close again which is why it’s sensible to follow the local guidelines and maintain a physical distance. That means, for instance, avoiding popular trails or peak times.” When one decides to do something, nothing can come in their way. Just like the world has resumed with the guidelines being followed, trekking has also resumed, adapting itself to new COVID norms. The most common challenges that can be faced when you are on trekking will be interacting and adjusting with locals, evening camaraderie, sharing stories with people around, and then the warm hugs. A lot might have been changed when you go for trekking next time but in the end, you will be mesmerized with the beauty of nature anyhow. The world might have changed but still, the sky will be the same as always.

It’s imperative that you take care of the people around you as they are your greatest asset”.

WITHSTANDING THE COVID CRISIS From business to individual, Covid-19 has been a terrifying challenge for everyone, especially during the lockdown. The country was submerged in desolation, production units were closed and vehicular movement halted, unexpectedly. 45
