BCM REVIEW

Bringing new habits in our daily life, it is kinds of a tricky process, if you asked how long it takes to form a new habit, most of the people will quickly respond “21 days.” However, according to a 2009 study, which printed in the European Journal of Social Psychology, it takes 18 to 254 days for a person to become habitual of new behavior. The study also accepts that, an average person, can take 66 days to bring a new habit in our daily life

In the 1950s, Maxwell Maltz (American cosmetic surgeon) started noticing a strange pattern among his patients. When he would perform an operation (Facial operation) on their patients, Dr. Maltz got that it would take around 21 days to get used to seeing their new face. He also not noticed those patients who had an arm or leg amputated, they would sense a phantom limb for about 21 days before adjusting a new situation. Later, he did experiments on himself to change behavior, he found that it took himself around 21 days to form a new habit. He wrote these experiences “These, and many other commonly observed phenomena tend to show that it requires a minimum of about 21 days for an old mental image to dissolve and a new one to jell.” In 1960, Dr. Maxwell Maltz launched a book called “Psycho-Cybernetics,” in this book he has written his thoughts on behavior changes. The book went viral all across the country and become popular – till now over 30 million copies have been sold – this situational observation has become accepted as fact. There are a lot of motivators and as more people like Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Tony Robbins, and others recited Maltz’s story. But people forgot that he said “it takes a minimum of about 21 days” shortened it to, “It takes 21days to form a new habit.” And that’s how people began the common myth everywhere that it takes “21 days” to become automatic. It’s remarkable how often these timelines are quoted as statistical facts. It could be quite a dangerous lesson if the majority of people say something more often time, then every single one starts to believe it. It makes sense why the “21 days.” become popular among the people. It’s easy to keep in mind the time frame and short enough to be inspiring, but most important long enough to be believable. In fact, who wouldn’t like to replace bad behavior with a good one after 21 days? www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 2 | Special Edition July 2020 INDIA

16

But, the reality is that Maxwell has written the whole book according to observation: what was going on around him and how he experienced the experiment himself. There isn’t any claim on it. In addition, he ensured to say that this was the min amount of time needed to adopt a new habit.

As per a 2012 study, published the British Journal of General Practice -- you can find on NCBI, “habits are defined as actions that are triggered automatically in response to contextual cues that have been associated with their performance.” Let’s take an example to understand this statement--when you hop on the car, you intuitively put on the seat belt. You don’t think at all about doing it. have you asked the question why? The reason because your brain likes habits because they are efficient. When you automate common actions, you realize mental resources for other activities.

depends on a lot of things like the habit we chose, a person, and the circumstances. According to DR. Lally, the time it took anywhere from 18 days to 254 days to become habitual of a new habit – not 21 days. The most interesting thing, the study also found out, “Missing one opportunity to perform the behavior didn’t materially affect the habit formation process.” In another world, no matter if you mess up from time to time. Becoming habitual of new behavior is not all or nothing.

There isn’t any right or wrong timeline. The only timeline that value is the one that works best for you. Besides, if you are making a commitment to bring changes in your life. keep doing that without focusing time of period.

Most often question ask why don’t we throw our bad habits in the trash even if I know something’s bad for us? A lot of people want to quit smoking, Drugs, and alcohol (a bad habit) but they don’t. For this research, NIH funded scientists have been looking for the question. According to Dr. Russell Poldrack (a neurobiologist at the University of Texas at Austin) “Pleasure-based habit so much harder to break. Enjoyable behaviors can prompt your brain to release chemical call dopamine.” Dopamine is a very crucial chemical massager in the brain that strengthens the behavior and creates the craving to do it again. This is why most people crave drugs even they know in the end it will be harmful.

In 2009, published an article on European of Social Psychology, psychologists Phillippa Lally, H. M. Van Jaarsveld, Henry … Potts and jane Wardle (University College London, London, UK) made a research on 96 volunteers (30 men, 66 women) for 12 weeks, each person chose different behavior like 31 to choose a drinking behavior, 34 an exercise behavior, 4 mediation, and 27 choose eating behavior as per the article. The research acknowledged that, on average it takes more than 9 weeks before a new habit becomes automatic – 66 days to be exact. However, it ultimately 17

last will and testament is an important part of any estate plan and without one, yours might be incomplete. Writing a will allows you to decide what happens to your assets when you pass away, rather than having them distributed according to state inheritance laws. Any innovative or disruptive idea is not easy to implement. The acceptance does take a considerable amount of time within the society. Similar was the case when Raj Kumar Lakhotia and Namita Lakhotia conceptualized the idea of their venture ‘DiLSEWiLL.’ Their aim was to provide end to end solutions for all Succession and Estate Planning Services.

Though there are not many start-ups in this field, legal start-ups are now taking shape. The need for providing an online platform for legal services is being recognised. The need for the change is catching up.

An online will making web portal under its parent company Chessygroup, Dilsewill’s founders are CAs practicing in the fields of Taxation, Assurance Services, Corporate Laws, Transaction advisory services and the like for more than a decade and half. INITIATION DiLSEWiLL provides an array of services with the prime focus on online will making services. Its bouquet of services include online will, offline will , will registration , its probate, obtaining succession certificate and all allied services. They have simplified the process of making WILL and one can have the WILL done by following 4 simple steps - register, pay, provide details and your WILL is ready. “Our vision has always been to become the most trusted and preferred online service provider in the field of Estate and Succession Planning,” explains Lakhotia. The utility provided by DiLSEWiLL is very user friendly. Will making services being provided online is the prime differentiator from their competitors. The fact that now people need not visit a lawyer, compromise their produc22

tive hours, shell out a good amount to get their will made is the edge we have over the traditional way of making will. With the evolving times, the need is to ease out the pain of travel and reduce the cost without compromising on the quality. DiLSEWiLL has done all of the above. “Though there are not many start-ups in this field, legal start-ups are now taking shape. The need for providing an online platform for legal services is being recognised. The need for the change is catching up,” believes Lakhotia. EVOLUTION OF PERSPECTIVES The lack of acceptance and awareness were the two major hindrances in their growth journeys. People are still unaware of the importance of making will. Acceptance of an online legal document providing platform is also taking time in India. Though, the team has come a long way from where they had started, but, India has a huge population which needs to be educated for making wills. “We would like to urge the newspapers and other media platforms to take this social issue seriously and spread awareness for the same,” says Team DiLSEWiLL. Society comprises of smaller units known as families. The society can be a better place to live in only if the members of each family are in harmonious relationship with each other and have economic security for their future. Partially this harmony can be achieved by making a will as it keeps at bay disputes for wealth amongst themselves after the demise of a family member. Similarly economic security for the future of the surviving members can be ensured by proper distribution of wealth through the will. Also, “Our focus and approach ensure unbreakable faith of our clients. Awareness is created through various mediums accessible to the public. Our focus is to provide customised will even though DiLSEWiLL. is an online platform. This is the reason we go an extra mile by providing necessary consultation and assistance. Team DiLSEWiLL. works with a complete customer centric approach,” claim the makers.

tionships amongst them are some of the ways in which the firm tends to ensure their employee satisfaction and contentment. The present government policies are very conducive to start ups. Today start-ups have a lot of support from government bodies like DIPP (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion), MEIT (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology). Many organizations like NASSCOM have come a long way in supporting start-ups like us. According to Lakhotia, “I would like to mention here that we are recognised by the DIPP and are also part of the NASSCOM 10000 start up 2019. Client satisfaction and customer feedback are of great importance to us. They help us learn and improvise. Positive feedbacks keep us motivated.” Bing an entrepreneur himself, Lakhotia also has some words of wisdom for fellow entrepreneurs as well. “I would like to say that we are all earning and living a holistic life in this society. It is our moral responsibility that we should have at least one project which gives a solution to a major social problem as a gratitude gesture towards the society. Also, I would like to appeal to everyone that “death is certain, but the time is uncertain”...do not procrastinate. Make your will.” Also, they aim at creating awareness in the masses about the importance of will making, even for young adults, simplifyingthe process of will making and making it available to one and all irrespective of geographical locations, at affordable prices. Every person having savings and dependants are advised to make wills. Its an appeal to the young generation to understand the importance of making will for the safety and security of their family.

R&D has helped in giving the customers a hassle free and customer friendly experience. “With the ever evolving technology we need to upgrade ourselves to keep in pace,” say the Lakhotias. The team claims to come back to work more excited and enthusiastic than they used to initially .The evolution and dynamism of things around, tends to keep their spirits always high. Their constant in house research and regular feedback systems from clients helps them to be updated about the market needs and accordingly they keep making changes in their product base. STAY AWAY FROM FAKE NEWS AND GET INFORMATION ONLY RELIABLE SOURCES A lot of fake new are rambling all over on social media, which can convert your thought into frustration. During this pandemic, it would be better if you limit your exposure to the news and to customize your social media feeds. As you know that our brain is a problem solver, but if your brain is already feeling fearful, it hard to get out of the situation. So Stay away from social media and fake news so that you won’t get panic. To get the right information, you can use some legitimate and reliable websites like for the latest update of this pandemic, you can choose WHO, and CDC or the country’s health website. “It is helpful to adopt a more analytical approach as you follow news reports about the coronavirus. You will also want to verify information that you receive from family, friends, or social media,” says the American Psychological Association (APA). Moreover, “consume only what you need to know, what’s most relevant to you and particularly what is happening or anticipated in your own community,” said the National Alliance on mental illness. STAY CONNECTED WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS Quarantine life can create a lot of negative thoughts when you are doing nothing. In such kind of condition, it would be great if you stay connected with your friends, family, and colleagues. APA (American Psychological Association) states “Maintaining social networks can foster a sense of normality and provide valuable outlets for sharing feelings and relieving stress.” People are being instructed to maintain social distance. It doesn’t mean you cannot cheat over the phone and have fun with video calling. The more important thing, when you are connecting with your family or friend over the phone, do not too much talk about coronaviruses, it may create negativity not only around you but also them. Also, if you have kids, you should to them, have fun with them. I’m sure you are going to love the time. HAVE A ROUTINE Routine requires for everyone, especially for kids. But When schools are closed and a lot of people are working from home or being instructed to stay at home, it feels like all bets are off. However, it would be much better for every individual’s mental health to try to keep going with routing, as much as possible. Deborah Serani (professor of psychology at Adelphi University) said “Studies in resiliency during traumatic events encourage keeping a routine to your day. This means eating meals at regular times, sleeping, waking, and excessing at set times, and maintain social contact. Unstructured time can create boredom, spikes in anxiety, or depression, which can lead to unhealthy patterns of coping.” Another reason to keep going with routine, Actually, it will cut “decision fatigue,” the overwhelm and exhaustion that can come from a lot of options. So, when you wake up in the morning, it is better to make schedules which can clarify How many tasks do you have to do today. try to stick with schedule (if it doesn’t work out— don’t beat yourself up. Take a break from work for a day). By doing this, it can free up some mental bandwidth during this pandemic. 27

We secondly deal with MBBS study programs in more than 10 countries such as the UK, Ireland, Europe, Kazakhstan, Russia, and many more. Our third segment is training where we train students for IELTS, PTE, GRE, SAT, OET, etc. in the classroom and online through webinar/Skype. Recently, we have ventured into immigration fragment also as we were inundated with queries and we couldn’t resist further. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 2 | Special Edition July 2020 INDIA

OFFERING SUCH A LARGE SELECTION OF INTERNATIONAL COURSES, WHAT INSPIRATION DREW YOU TO A PATH OF THIS NATURE? There is a huge market of study abroad and many big players too, however, there is still a wide gap where people are not guided as per the expectations and they end up choosing the wrong course or the wrong path to a promising career and eventually end up wasting all their resources and don’t get the desired result. There, I decided to help all those who aspire to study abroad and wanted to prove that right kind guidance and support is all that can nurture good careers. After learning the nitty-gritty of the trade, I established this bran brand Dronaa, and since then there has been no looking back. WITH PROVIDING TRAINING OF GLOBAL STANDARDS, DO YOU BELIEVE YOUR CHALLENGES WERE ANY DIFFERENT FROM THE REST? If you are asking about the training courses that we run or the consultancy that we have, in both the cases the challenges faced were no different in any way. However, our approach to deal with them has been different. We have a motto that our company is just not to establish itself as a company but to establish the careers of the candidates also, who approach us with that trust in us. This gives us strength and confidence to do better and better. I monitor all the aspects of the business and whenever required I 28

guide, mentor, and counsel the candidates and their family to help them choose and decide the best.

YOU HAVE BEEN IN THE MARKET FOR A WHILE NOW, WHAT KIND OF STRATEGIES DID YOU DEPLOY TO OVERCOME YOUR CHALLENGES? Well, as I told you, business keeps posing the challenges, and the approach adopted makes all the difference. My strategies are the positive frame of mind, giving space to every human being, be it staff or the candidate and letting things take its own shape. As far as promotion and marketing, we all know that this is the age of digital communication and we focus on that. Our sincerity and genuine approach to work is our main strategy. WHAT ALL FACILITIES ARE MADE AVAILABLE FOR THE ONES ENROLLING WITH YOU? We have a wide range of facilities. Firstly, we provide numerous sessions of free counseling even before the student enrolls. Once he enrolls, we help him in arranging all the papers to apply to the desired university, help him to get the admission on time, the visa process and paperwork. We also help in arranging accommodation, ticketing, and flying. The most highlighting point of our services is that we provide an on-arrival facility in every country and not only this we also provide a local point of contact just as a guardian till the students stay there and complete their courses. IS ACADEMICS THE ONLY AREA THAT IS POLISHED OR THERE ARE OTHER ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED AS WELL? Of course, the primary focus is on academic development. However, we are a student-centric company and work for holistic development. Thus, we conduct pre-departure briefing sessions, communication skills, cultural differences, and Mother Tongue Influences are taught and discussed with all those students who need them the most. We also conduct similar sessions for all those who return India after the completion of the course to discuss the work prospects and to help them in the exploration of other avenues. HOW DO YOU ENSURE THE FAITH OF YOUR STUDENTS IN YOU? We are happy that our students have been more than satisfied with us. We have worked hard towards it. Our mantra of winning students’ hearts and mind is to be concerned with their aspirations, goals, issues, and careers. We align ourselves with their goals and aspirations that motivate us and infuse faith in them. DO YOU FEEL ONLINE TRAINING HAS ACCLAIMED ITS WORTH IN THE MARKET? Yes, to a certain extent. We have a good student base which is online and they are happy. Removing the need for classroom coaching is what I believe impossible. We have daily online batches for IELTS and PTE, and the number of students is ever increasing. All the working professionals, people from distant areas and even housewives who are 29

co-applicant with their husbands prefer online training. There is a wide potential, which is still untapped and can be accessed. The education sector of any nature is a competitive market, do you believe competition is necessary and how much? Well, competition is a sign of developing market and that is good for business. The competitive market makes the sector more creative and innovative and that leads to a business win-win business model; the service provider and the service receiver both are benefitted. Extreme competition is a sign that the economy is cracking and there are not enough working areas. Whatever, but I believe that competition has always brought out the best and we welcome all sort of competition.

WHAT OTHER MILESTONES HAVE YOU ACHIEVED AS YET? I am happy to answer this question. When hard work is recognized, it always gives a proud feeling. We are proud to be awarded as the Best Overseas consultant in North India- 2017. We are Qisan Approved Agency. We are Uniagent- Gold Certified Agency. We are ICEF Trained-ITAC 1168. We have QEAC Trained Staff. We are a British Council – Approved Examination Booking Centre. We are recognized Agency by IDP & Pearson. I hope this is enough, though, the more the merrier, we are trying to reach newer and newer heights. I am also a member of the Georgia Asia Chamber of Commerce. WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE? We want to cover the entire length and breadth of the nation. Under our Pan-India plans, we are working to increase our branches. Currently, we have our head office in Noida at sec.-18 and branches at Amritsar, Lucknow, Bareilly, and Roorkee. We are a registered company in Australia. We have wide plans of expansion and soon we shall be opening more branches. WHAT IS THAT YOU ARE PROVIDING DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS IN THIS SECTOR? I would tell everyone to be true to yourself and devote your time in constructive pursuits as the end result is desired the most. I myself have the exposure of traveling in 20+ countries where I personally visit the universities; this experience also helps my team to share the real experience with students. We evaluate the demand which meets with specialization of a particular sector to give advice to students If you are looking forward to studying abroad, make a visit to us we shall give you free counseling and guide you to move in the direction of achieving the target of your life. Immigration aspirants must choose wisely as per their profile. Lastly, I would say work hard but party harder, as that keeps you going. THE CORONAVIRUS IN INDIA: HOW TO

PREPARE FOR THE GREAT UNKNOWN

Mark Taiwan once said, “I’ve had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened.” This thought I have been keeping in mind for a quite few years when I realized that too much worrying about something that probably doesn’t matter in my cases and never going to happen. In January I heard that a virus is spreading all across the world from China. At the moment I took simply just because of this thought. But On March 25, 2020, Indian prime minster Modi announced that India is going to be completely lockdown for 21 days. At the moment, this thought blew up. I never knew in such kind of incident is going to happen. Later, I started drawing a big picture in my mind how our lives and cities are going to look like. I’m sure most of you have pictured it as well.

Since at the moment, we are unknown and don’t know how long this virus will be around us, so I have made a few checklists to stay productive while not being fully active.

Stay Informed

The COVID 19 pandemic is making our life miserable these days, we have been instructed by the government to stay home as much as possible and keep washing hands and many more. In such a situation, there are a lot of fake news are being viral via Social media, and most people don’t know what are the truths about it. To get rid of misconception, you have to update yourself so that you can act accordingly. Here you can believe in some genuine websites. If you are looking COVID 19 pandemic related news or new update, you should check out the WHO (World Health Organization) website.

Stay healthy

The more important thing to do is stay healthy. Gyms are closed and there are very few grocery stores are running at the moment. I would highly recommend you make some exercise environment at home. You can do exercise on your terrace or in your own room. Since every junk food shops and restaurants are shut down, people are cooking foods themselves at home, which is great for our health. But don’t fall into the trap of drinking all night and sleeping all day.

Get Medical Help If You Need It

If you are sick or feeling unwell, I would suggest you make a call to your family doctor or near the hospital. Tell them about your symptoms, also, you can inform doctors via mobile phone about your neighborhood illness (in case they are not going to doctor). We should lead by example in our leadership to aid our societies to return to a wealthy and healthy state. The advantage to community and overall business would be fruitful eventually. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 2 | Special Edition July 2020 INDIA

Maintain Your Finance

Economists have been doing math since they have heard that the whole world is locked down. People have been told that the whole market will be close except for essential business. I know this is more important to prevent the virus. But the most important thing you have to consider how long your saving balance will put food on your table and pay your bills without revenue coming in. This is about deficiency control, new revenue streams, and communication. Weather, you have a business that is still running or your revenue stream is shut down for a limited period of time. You have to keep updating your customers and employees about when you are going to potentially be up and open again, and what are you providing if you are still running, and start figuring out ways to monetize things your business or brand can provide that might you never even thought before.

Be Grateful

seeing such kind of situation, it is easy to have fear and uncertainty around us, which can let us fall down the rabbit hole of depression and negativity. With every single day that passes, it will be another missed opportunity, so don’t miss it and be grateful, just do what you like to do by staying home because the day is coming closer and once again we will back to our normal life and all of us being able to pursue our endurance again. Positively change your perspective about this situation and look at it as a productive vacation. Be grateful for what you have instead of fretting about what we don’t.

Help The Community

as we all are in quarantine and we are missing things out, but there are a lot of people who are doing much worse in this situation. In spite of lockdown, a lot of people are returning home from metropolitan towns because they don’t have enough food and essential things to live life. So, if you can help them in any way, we strongly suggest you do so. In this way, you can make lockdown successful. Although, there are a lot of NGOs and social activists are helping those people now. Recently, I watched a video where an IAS officer was distributing foods among the homeless and daily wage people. However, that is not enough for such kind of population we all have to contribute ourselves to help others.

Keep Fighting The Good Fight currently, we all are in a very challenging time and we want to get out of this situation. At the time all we can do is follow the above steps. Also, keeping in mind those five points that keep you safe from the virus.

One more important thing, be thankful to those doctors who are working so hard to recover coronavirus patients. 33

RESPONSIBILITIES TOWARDS SOCIETY At ICAN, it is understood that any organization is as good as the society in which it operates. They acknowledge their social, moral and ethical responsibility towards the betterment of various elements of the society they live in. They believe that this is one of the unsaid and underestimated aspects of business excellence which few organizations have come to take notice of. Along with the employees, they have taken a few such steps to touch lives outside the professional arena and recently have pledged support to Rays of Hope Ministries and Suryoday Trust, a school for Students with Intellectual Disability. Through this initiative, they hope to make a difference to the many orphans in the institute, just as they have done with the internal and external clients. The generosity of their employees to extend financial help further testifies to the company’s strong ethical convictions and moral codes which in no lesser means have had them excel in their business assignments as well. They look at this effort as a way of giving to the society what the society has given to them – sustenance. At ICAN, it is seen as an indirect correlation of these activities with business values, which by extension drive business operations – after all socially aware and active organization are more likely to stand the test of time, and they are one of the proofs of that. The growth of call centers is also largely due to the higher number of the educated class and further humongous commerce. The demographics of this country is way too much in favor of it, given that the greater population is under thirty. Time is the only judge that would be able to tell if this ever so growing industry will be able to successfully sustain itself with the passing time of rigorous competition and fight for being the leaders in the market. The country clearly looks like dominating the global space as foreign investors have a number of impressive reasons to come in. the time right now is perfectly ripe and we positively look forward to the BPO sector to rapidly transport up the curve, solidifying its position further in the global arena.

BCM REVIEW

CARANAVIRUS PANDEMIC

Over two months later India enforced a strict nationwide lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus, but now the government of India is allowing most businesses and services to resume. People are returning from their jobs and starting to trickle out of their homes. During the lockdown, experts’ guidance has been followed well: As much as possible, stay home and avoid social gathering. In the new reality, with a vaccine likely still months or years away, some experts have said that a new approach is needed to implement among the people to stay safe amid this pandemic.

It would be great for people to stay home all the time, but we all know that isn’t possible. So now question is, what can we do to minimize the harm to ourselves and others if and when we choose to go out? In a short answer, Wash your hands. Do not touch the face. Wear a mask and maintains distance from people (you don’t live with) at least 6 feet. For those of you who have a chronic health issue, or are 65 years old or more, you should take all these precautions very seriously. Now a lot of people will say that short answers we have heard a million times, So we are going to discuss seven points, which may help you minimize risk while you going out.

1) Stick to the outdoors Experts have given a piece of advice for those who decide to go out: people who can do something out of their house instead of indoors, they should prefer it outdoors. At the time people prefer cooking in their yard, which is good for them. You should consider it as well. This pandemic spread through airborne droplets – that land on the surface, afterward they pick up with their hands. Outdoor alleviate these vectors of spread in many different ways. first, the open-air won’t let airborne droplets to reach other people. second, it would be easier to keep a distance from others as compared to inside.

So, if you are considering hanging out with friends outside (keep it to a small group). If you are going to eat at a restaurant, look for outdoor seating. Prefer morning walk instead of going gym. Many experts believe that policymaker can take advantage “It’s a good year for outdoor dining and outdoor shopping and outdoor all kinds of activities.” According to Mark McClellan, (who formerly lead both CMS and FDA) from VOX The one exception, of course, is your lovely home. As long as you and your family stay at home, it’s safe, if no one inside is sick. Experts have recommended to people to do things outdoors, that doesn’t mean it is totally safe. Being around people who don’t live with you can create some problems during this pandemic. However, during this pandemic, doing outdoor activities could safer (outside of your home). For some, that’s a reprieve that makes all the other necessities for social distancing a little more bearable. As we all know that spending time outdoors could be beneficial for all of us on its own.

2) Follow good hygiene practices We have been getting constantly message from a health authority that “keep washing your hands” and “Do not touch your face.” If you are going to very frequently venture far outside your home. So do consider seriously it doesn’t matter how old are you. Many reports indicate that the COVID-19 could survive on a different surface for an hour or days at a time. If you touch those surfaces, then touch your faces – soon you may get infected. By now there are a lot of guidance available on the internet about how to avoid touching our face and wash our hands. If you haven’t seen yet, go and check out, I’m sure those tutorials would be helpful.

AS per CDC, before eating or after using restroom “Hand should be washed with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.” Also do not forget to back of your hand, finger, thumbs, and your wrists. If you cannot access soap and water, use hand sanitizer with more than 60% ethanol or 70% isopropanol. Yes, these hygiene practices work, and we are hearing over and over again. If you would like to minimize risk to yourself, then you should follow this hygiene practice.

3) Wear a mask

PREVENTION

In light of data about how coronavirus spread, along with proof of widespread coronavirus illness is communities all over the country, many institutions and organizations (CDC, WHO) agree that every individual should wear a mask when they go out. You can wear mask surgical mask, N95 mask if you have one, also cloth one would be good if you can’t access it. CDC (The central for Disease control and prevention) recommends that “In public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies), especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.” Mask can stop transmission from the wearer to other people, especially from those who are infected but not showing symptoms at all. If you put the mask on face properly, you’re less likely to get infected from virus-containing droplets. Mask also likely gives some safety to you by creating a physical barrier from droplet from other people in front of our mouth and nose. However, the research is not enough, but there are few suggestive pieces of evidence: As long as you wear masks properly, the report shows that it reduces disease transmission overall. While many other experts hypothesize that masks are playing a very crucial role in this pandemic. Most countries are not allowing N95 for the general public because of shortage. It would be difficult to buy. But you can use a cloth mask which can make at home. If you want to learn how to make a Mask at home, then check out the CDC tutorial. As you know the country has allowed a maximum of 50 people at the wedding function or any other function. If you are hoisting event (which is not but it is going to happen) – offer masks to those who are attending the ceremony. When you wear a mask, don’t fidget with it like touching your face, and avoid taking it off until you return home. Throw away disposable masks once you use it, if you have reusable mask then wash after use them. Also, do not forget to wash your hand before and after taking off the mask. One more important thing, it is common to have a little harder time breathing while putting a mask on face for long hours. But you know discomfort is much better than not getting sick of the virus, so Do not take off the mask in the middle of somewhere.

4) Stay away from the crowded area Many markets are going to open up, again we are going to see the crowd in the market. Throughout this pandemic, people are being instructed to maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from others. So, stay away from the crowd. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 2 | Special Edition July 2020 INDIA

In the South Korea call center, 44% of employees on one floor have got infected by coronaviruses, the analysis of the seating report shows how easily COVID 19 spread in the offices. In March, 97 out of 811 employees tested positive at a Seoul call center. Of the sick workers, 94 sat on the same floor – the building’s 11th – and 79 were in the same section. The article published in the Journal of Emerging Infectious Disease. Prolonged and close contact could be risky for people. A jogger passing by you for two to 5 seconds isn’t created risk. But if you are within 6 feet of others for a longer time – especially for hours. It could be dangerous for any one of us.

j

“The two variables we worry about is that distance from another person who might be sick and the time spends with them.” Says Crystal Watson, senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins center for Healthy Security, from citizen Cartwright. This principle applies to the outdoors, too. As we have discussed outdoor, it is safer than indoors, despite it, it still a good idea to avoid packed parks or beaches. Anyone who doesn’t live together, they shouldn’t stay together for long in any setting. So, if you are planning to go out for food, do consider to skip the packed restaurant. If you are going to the park or beaches, find an area where very few (2 to 3) people around. Hosting party, don’t invite too many during this pandemic, also avoid hugging and handshaking.

5) Avoid share surface It could be possible that people can get coronavirus by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it if you want to minimize that risk, try to avoid share surface as much as possible. So even if you are planning to go outdoors, try not to touch anything which has been touched by different kinds of people, like swings, bench, swings, slides – at the very least, wipe them out before using them. If you are entering in the building -where you don’t live or using public transport, try to minimize how much of the space you touch.

Now people are going back to their own office, but during this pandemic, try not to share food, drink, and many others. That doesn’t mean you have to be fearful about food or getting various things delivered to you.

6) Do not go outside from home over and over again. Whether, you are going out for food or work, or you are leaving home because you can’t stand the sight of your apartment anymore, one way to reduce risk is to space out all trips. With each venture outside, you are creating risk for yourself during this pandemic, that’s why it said “Stay home and Stay Safe.” So, it isn’t a good idea to be going out of the store or mall over and over again or even every day, when you go to the store buy as much as you can afford and carry in one go. Don’t buy stuff for 6 months or a year, one month would be enough. Since you are going out to the store and mall every day, it is impossible to keep the physical distance. Reading this article, that doesn’t mean every single is going follow the rule perfectly and some time we forget something at stores which have to go back. But remember spaced out trips outside the home would be great.

7) If you are in a particularly at-risk group, take extra precautions. As per CDC’s current available information, Chronic conditions like asthma, diabetes, liver issue, and obesity. Having one of these appears to heighten the risk of complications and death due to COVID – 19. People who are 60 or more are at higher risk too. In such a kind of people need to be extra careful and strict for themselves. One-way experts describe: If you fall into one of these chronic conditions, have to follow the same rules, but take this on the next level like if normal people washing their hands 5 times, those people should wash their hands 10 times. If others are maintaining distance 6 feet, those in at-risk should try 10 feet. Many Expert believes that older people should stay at home as much as possible, in the way they can protect themselves. What we have discussed, nobody is going to follow perfectly because some of the tips may not be possible for them. But better you can do it, the lower the risk would be.
