Success Story
Ardeshir
Godrej’s
“A good monetary policy follows inflationary expectations and not historical numbers”
Adi Godrej
Chairperson of the Godrej Group
Success Story Journey to Become a $4.1 Billion Empire As the common adage goes, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Some of the world’s most successful companies are the result of decades of dedication and effort. The Godrej Group, one of India’s most known conglomerates, began as a small lock-making business in 1897 and has grown to become one of the country’s most recognizable companies. Godrej is a well-known brand in our nation, and we’ve all used its appliances or other things at some point in our life. However, few people are aware of the dedication that went into creating the Godrej Group, which began operations in 1897 and was formed by Ardeshir Burjorji Sorabji Godrej over 120 years ago.
GODREJ GROUP BUSINESS FOOTPRINT • Industries - Consumer Goods • Company size -10,001+ employees • Headquarters - Mumbai, Maharashtra • Type - Public Company • Founded - 1897 • Specialties - Industrial Engineering, FMCG, Agro Chemicals, Real Estate, Chemicals, and Retail TOP 6 SUBSIDIARIES OF GODREJ GROUP • Godrej Properties Limited • Godrej Agrovet Limited • Godrej Infotech Limited • Godrej Consumer Products • Godrej and Boyce • Godrej Industries Limited
THE POPULAR PRODUCT CATEGORIES OF GODREJ INCLUDE: • Personal care products • Cleaning agents • Furniture • Real estate • Consumer durables • Security solutions • Godrej Aerospace • Godrej Agro-vet • Godrej chemicals • Godrej interior
HOW DID IT START AND HOW IT’S GOING? Ardeshir was born in 1868 in Mumbai to a Parsi-Zoroastrian family. He was a law student at the time, like many other financially well-off Indians, but the law wasn’t for him, and he returned to India shortly after. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 4 | Special Edition December 2021 INDIA
18
After returning to India, he began working as an assistant at a pharmacy shop, where he developed an interest in making surgical tools, which he turned into his first business, which failed miserably, but he was determined to succeed in India. Soon after, he secured a loan from Merwanji Cama, a Parsi businessman, and philanthropist, to start a new lock-making firm, which was the beginning of the Godrej empire. In comparison to other locks, his locks were cheaper, better, and sold far better. After that, he started making safes, double plate doors, and other such items, which were so popular that the Queen of England used one on her visit to India in 1921, according to The Hindu. Turning Point - After a string of setbacks, Ardeshir Godrej’s life was permanently transformed by a newspaper story. He once read a newspaper story on the rise in felony convictions in his city. The residences and businesses were vulnerable to burglars since they were protected with low-quality hand-made locks that offered little protection. Ardeshir Godrej decided to make the highest quality locks in the country after reading this article.
After seeing an increase in theft cases, Godrej created the first Indian safe in 1902. Ardeshir then delved into soap and vegetable oil manufacturing alongside his brother Pirojsha Godrej. Godrej Soaps Ltd was founded by the two in 1918. In the same year, they introduced Cinthol, the world’s first soap created without the use of animal fat.
Godrej produced its first cabinet or almirah in 1923. Even as the firm grew, Ardeshir maintained a modest lifestyle and built an Indian-based business structure, which helped make madein-India famous. Ardeshir died in January 1936, a year in which Godrej and Boyce earned a total of INR 12 lakhs. This unassuming individual was undoubtedly a cornerstone of today’s countrywide Make-in-India movement. Adi’s Children, Tanya Dubash, Nisaba Godrej, and Pirojsha Godrej, who head the $4.1 billion (INR 25,000 crore) Godrej Group, now hold prominent roles in group enterprises. Dubash works for the group as an executive director and chief brand officer, while Nisaba works for Godrej Consumer Products Ltd as an executive director. Godrej Properties Ltd, the group’s real estate arm, is headed by their brother Pirojsha. Jamshyd’s son, Navroze Godrej, joined the firm in 2005 and is in charge of innovation at Godrej and Boyce.
Godrej Group is an Indian corporation that sells a wide range of items in a variety of sectors. The firm is rapidly expanding, with a revenue of more than 4.1 million US dollars. Godrej is one of India’s oldest and most trusted brands, thanks to the high quality of its goods. Godrej has grown to over 60 countries over the past 120 years, ensuring that its clients may buy their items everywhere they travel. The firm has a market capitalization of more than $500 million and is continuing to develop globally. The company’s success is due to smart acquisitions and subsidiaries that it has collected throughout the years.
GODREJ FAMILY LOOKS TO DIVIDE THE $4.1 BILLION EMPIRE According to persons familiar with the situation, the $4.1 billion Godrej Group has begun a formal effort to divide its enterprises between two groups: one led by the families of patriarch Adi Godrej and his brother Nadir, and the other by their cousins Jamshyd Godrej and Smitha Godrej Crishna. In the next six months, a final ruling on the subject is expected. It is likely to entail a total asset separation on a huge scale. According to the reports, Adi Godrej’s family patriarch would prefer no change, while the younger generation wants more transparency on asset ownership. Apart from Godrej & Boyce, which is a private company, the group’s other companies, such as GIL, GCPL, Godrej Properties, and Godrej Agrovet, are all publicly traded and managed by Adi Godrej and his brother Nadir.

“I’d put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don’t have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that.”- Thomas A. Edison. Without a doubt, renewable and solar energy, in particular, will play a crucial role in helping countries across the globe- to achieve ambitious carbon reduction targets. The International Energy Agency (IEA) has forecasted that exceptionally high-capacity additions will become the “New Normal” during 2021 and in 2022, with renewable accounting for 90% of new power capacity expansion globally. In addition, the agency also stated that solar PV development will continue to break records, with annual additions reaching 162 GW by 2022. espite the disruptions in 2020, those with digital maturity and access to information achieved revolutionary growth. The occurrence emphasizes the critical role of digitization in the face of overwhelming odds. From this perspective, it’s important to comprehend the construction industry’s standing and prospects in e-Commerce. The pandemic did not spare the vertical, and it followed existing patterns. But, over time, it shed its long-held inhibitions and took its first tentative steps into the digital realm. Because the alteration was so widespread, its effects reverberated in India as well. It’s no surprise that e-Commerce is propelling the Indian construction industry, giving the ball away for entrepreneurs. CRACINDIA is an excellent illustration of such possibilities materializing. It’s a digital one-stop-shop for all of your construction needs.
A DREAM & VISION COME TRUE
CRACINDIA positions itself as an incorrigible entrant with a focus on reshaping the way people avail their construction needs. In basic terms, it’s an innovative search engine for finding local construction service providers to procure resources and use services. CRACINDIA’s concept of “Construction resources at a Click” was introduced by Mr. Sushil Shivaji Mahangade. He is a Civil Engineer and realtor with a proven track in business development and expansion, operations, strategic planning and execution. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 4 | Special Edition December 2021 INDIA

Sushil’s career as an entrepreneur began in 2015 when he founded Value Group of companies, a construction contractor firm. During the course, he came across many contractors asking for work and not finding any. “Seeing them struggle for work and I couldn’t stand the prevailing manual framework for searching work,” he affirmed. On the other hand, finding a good contractor wasn’t easy, due to the lack of a customized channel. The scenario stimulated the idea of an e-commerce platform that can bridge the gap between the two parties. And that is how CRACINDIA was born. Registered with the Department of Corporate Affairs, CRACINDIA is revolutionizing the construction services industry by connecting customers and suppliers across India. The platform is also commonplace for service requisitions, including floating tenders for construction activities to be carried out by Individuals, Co-operative Housing Societies, Construction Companies, Builders and Developers, Local Bodies, Corporate Offices and Municipal corporations etc. Service providers assign ratings to all available services so that clients can make well-informed decisions. With a user-friendly interface that ensures hassle-free search, the platform has become a comprehensive meeting point for service providers and recipients. The concept has yet to reach its full potential, but it can transform construction services in India, making them more trustworthy and efficient.
this makes Sushil an ideal leader for his team. He loves inspiring people and measures his strengths through his efforts. Sushil also believes in mentoring and helping others attain new heights.
SHAPED TO THE MODERN MARKET FORCE
The entrepreneurial landscape is going through paradigm transformation. COVID-19 is still putting an immense strain on businesses of all sizes and shapes. Investors are on edge, valuations have come down, and skilled resources are laid off across verticals. But there is a silver lining. The period is revealing unique opportunities and will further line up new ones with time. Sushil argues that as we prepare to return to a world that will change forever, it’s time to reset everything. “If there was a time when the playing field was leveled for small and famous startups, now is,” he adds. And enlightened by this notion, he has positioned his startup to adhere to the ‘New Normal’. He believes this is the time to grab new opportunities and identify new customer segments. The COVID-19 will soon subside, paving the way for India’s burgeoning startup ecosystem to grow. Keeping up with the optimism, CRACINDIA is vigilant to explore new dimensions and re-imagine business in the post-pandemic era.
“I believe that powerful leaders are defined by how well their teams succeed,” asserts Sushil. He focuses on the growing needs of his colleagues and facilitates their training requirements through proper resources. He is dedicated to building the strengths of others around him, unfurling their leadership potential.
AN ETHICAL BUSINESS MODEL
There is a saying, “Building and sustaining relationships are long-term investments.” While CRACINDIA aims to grow as a profitable business, it follows an ethical code of conduct. It’s customer-centric to heart and strives to provide an uncompromised quality in its offerings along with 24x7 customer service. Parallelly, it provides a flexible and friendly working environment for its employees. Having an ambitious vision to serve the Indian Construction Space with innovativeness, it has welcomed passionate and likeminded visionaries. “The fact that everyone is so dedicated and we are just a year old shows how well our work culture is,” shares the founder proudly. The company provides equal opportunities to everyone and encourages them to learn from their mistakes, trends, etc.
The firm also invests in R&D to broaden its knowledge and gain new insights to improve efficiency while lowering expenses. This also entails developing new products and services to grow and flourish in market forces while gaining a competitive advantage. A viable example of this is CRACINDIA’s marketing strategies. It uses social media (Google, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and others), sends out marketing mail to service providers (Builders and Developers, contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers), and employs SEO and telemarketing too. Although it’s working with a small cadre, adhering to the trends is anchoring its trajectory.
BUIILT TO CREATE WAVES
Within a year of inception, CRACINDIA has created a blooming presence across the country. It’s close to achieving 10k registered vendors on its platform, and that too within 6 months! Sushil and his team have a lot of plans for growth and expansion. However, he is a leader who loves ‘Doing great things in silence.’ And while he is keeping it under covers, he will climb the leadership ladder and position CRACINDIA on the top. The platform is here to set the bar for offering construction services in a systematic and timely fashion with just a few clicks!
ENCASED IN ENTREPRENEURIAL VALUES
CRACINDIA, like every other inventive startup, is more than just an e-commerce platform. It’s a cohesive ecosystem fueled by ideas, actions, and a desire to make a difference. The firm inherits these qualities from its curator. Sushil considers himself a perceptive leader, outlining the firm’s capabilities and performance. He leads CRACINDIA with fundamental values of ‘Integrity’, ‘Listening’, ‘Modeling’, and ‘Mentoring’. Sushil values self-evaluation as a critical aspect of leadership. It aids in the identifying of flaws and strengths, as well as how to improve them.
FROM THE DESK OF SUSHIL SHIVAJI MAHANGADE
“Never be frightened to try anything new. Everyone starts small and works their way up through hard work and creativity. Losses and profits are both a part of business, so if you’re losing money, assess how you can make it lucrative, and if you’re making money, consider how you can protect it from losses.”
Apart from self-evaluation, it’s also important to be an active listener. It aids in fathoming the team’s day-to-day issues while being attentive to nonverbal cues. Eventually, 35

Health
CORRELATION BETWEEN HEALTH & ECONOMY
How Investment in Health Reflects on Economy There is a well-understood relationship that when you are healthy, automatically the country’s economy improves as well, your health performance is fully reflected in both the economy and health systems. As a healthy population, one can make an important contribution towards economic progress because the population that is healthy, lives more and are considered more productive. Investment in health is not only a desirable priority for most communities but also an important one, as it reflects on the economy. However, our health systems also face challenges that are daunting as well as complex, arising in part from new stresses such as ageing populations, the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases, and the intensive use of costly but critical health technologies.

A HEALTHIER INDIVIDUAL AFFECTS THE ECONOMY IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS: •
At work, a healthier individual can be more productive and earn higher incomes.
•
A healthy person may spend more time in the labour force as compared to a less healthy individual who often takes sick leave or retires early.
•
They will invest more in the process of learning new things in order to improve their efficiency.
•
In anticipation of a longer life, a healthy individual may save more by raising the funds available to invest in the economy.
In order to briefly explain the relationship between health and economic development, the concept of health needs to be understood in a broad sense. When we speak about health, it is not just the absence of diseases, but also people’s capacity to grow during their lives to their potential. In combination with that welfare, an asset possessed by individuals has a significant source of well-being as well as instrumental importance. In terms of health, economic development is affected by health in a variety of ways. For example, it decreases production losses due to sickness of a worker, often increases adult productivity as a result of improved nutrition and lower absenteeism rates, and improves school children’s learning. Health also agrees with the use of natural resources that may usually be intended for ill health care.
Health has its consequences directly through worker productivity and the economic burden of diseases on economic development. Health also indirectly influences economic development as factors such as child health influence people’s potential incomes through the effect that health has on education. If we take up a household example that is observed on a family basis, this sort of indirect effect is much easier to understand. When a family is safe, the father and mother will both have a job and earn money that helps them to eat, protect, and send their children to school. Children would do well in school if they are safe and well-nourished and this will have a positive effect on their future income. The lack of health often affects the poor to a great degree, as their body is often the only commodity they have. The correlation between Health and Economy goes hand in hand as the importance of investment in health refers to the betterment of economic development because a healthier individual can help to increase both the number of hours worked as well as the probability that they will be employed.

While some of these cards are recycled, the vast majority end up in landfills. Trees store 50% of the carbon on the planet, making them a critical shield against climate change. DICAWAP strives for sustainable reform with its forward-thinking innovation. It aims to convert the mindset of the industrial space and choose Digital Business Cards. Within a year of commencement, Rasheed has attracted many like-minded talents. And together, they aim to make DICAWAP a leader in the Digital circuit for Smart Digital Business Cards.

We have the chance to reimagine how we

7 TOP TIPS TO BOOST YOUR STARTUP BUSINESS Here are 7 valuable tips to give your fledgling company a boost: CASH FLOW FORECASTING
As Sir Richard Branson says “The cash flow of a company is the life and blood of a business, so never take your eyes off it.” Budgets that are long-term must provide reasonable estimates of potential revenue and expenditures. Start-up costs vary, but when they do, entrepreneurs should be prepared for the worst-case scenario. Since anything can happen over a business’s lifecycle, it’s best to build longterm budgets and financial estimates. Forecasting aids company owners in putting aside money for potential expenditures. These expenses can be both personal and business-related.
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SHOULD BE PRIORITIZED
Plan to continue reinforcing your brand and strengthening your image by focusing on customer service and satisfaction. The brand of a business is simply how it is viewed. A happy customer is more than a recommendation; it’s a powerful branding statement.
ENHANCE YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA PROFILES
The advent of social media has altered how companies operate and how the general public interacts with them. While it used to be much more difficult for a customer to share their questions or experiences after a brand encounter, it is now easier than ever for the two to communicate and share details. The best websites are LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, AngelList, and Pinterest accounts. If you want to reach a larger audience, being more engaged with social media will help. It’s important to remember that social media is a two-way platform that allows people to communicate and share information. Rather than simply posting ads on your platform, try to engage with your potential and current customers by answering questions and providing opportunities for them to communicate with you further. Your customers will appreciate the effort, and you will appreciate the outcome.
PROVIDE THE AUDIENCE WITH USEFUL KNOWLEDGE
Many people, on the other hand, make the popular mistake of believing that marketing consists solely of commercials and promotional material. In reality, it’s a way of better communicating with your audience by getting a better understanding of their desires and needs, as well as demonstrating your importance to them. Sharing valuable and insightful content with your audience is a perfect way to do this. This will demonstrate to them that your goods or services are important to their needs and that you have the expertise and knowledge necessary to provide accurate information. An e-book or guide, case studies, infographics, blog posts can be a powerful tool for disseminating material, it’s worth taking the time to learn how to write one.
TAKE EXPERT ASSISTANCE WHEN REQUIRED, DON’T HESITATE TO CONTACT It’s tempting for new business owners to try to do everything themselves because it’s a good way to save money. However, this can sometimes stifle a company’s growth, and in some cases, relying on the experts is more effective. Take new ideas from experts to improve your business. Paying an expert will also save you time and allow you to concentrate more on the tasks you are better able to do if you are attempting something you are unfamiliar with, particularly if you are taking on a task that needs a highly specific skill set.
MAKE GOOD FRIENDS
Make an effort to form new friendships. Meet new people, strike up a conversation, and build meaningful relationships that will enhance your life and well-being.
BUILD AN ADVISORY BOARD
Business advisory boards can be extremely beneficial to a company’s growth. People with connections to top professionals with a variety of skills may be brought in as low-cost advisors to help the company expand.
Marketing is one of the best means of successful business promotion, and it can be a powerful way to expose the company to a wider audience.

Running a company necessitates a high level of organization and adherence to a strategic plan. It’s important to strike a balance between all of your focus areas, as this will help you better manage your resources and coordinate your finances. The best part for Indian businesses is that the country has been declared the world’s third-largest tech start-up hub. Furthermore, India’s Ease of Doing Business index has risen significantly from 130 in 2016 to 63 in 2020. According to the most recent reports in India, start-ups come from 54 different sectors, with IT services and Healthcare & Lifesciences registering the most start-ups, followed by education. Thousands of young entrepreneurs have taken the plunge into starting their own businesses in the last few years as a way to gain leverage over their professional careers or raise their profits.

Entrepreneurship can be described as recognizing change, seeking opportunity, accepting risk and obligation, innovating, bettering resource use, generating new value that is meaningful to customers, and repeating the process. Budget 2021 has recognized the importance of start-ups and small and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) in India’s future, which includes growth in technology-driven and manufacturing businesses, which will help India achieve its goal of a $5 trillion economy.

Driving Brand Awareness, Recall and Perception in a Digital-First World:
Varun Gadia | Chief Operating Officer
A Brand Manager’s Perspective This exclusively narrated inside story is based on a freewheeling conversation between Business Connect and a phenomenal Brand Manager of HidocDr- Varun Gadia. HidocDr is an integrated medical learning app for doctors that has been making strides in ameliorating the present scenario across the medical space. It was an absolute delight hosting him at our virtual meet where he shared some intriguing insights into the industry and we got some ‘food for thought’ to ponder over. Hence, without any twists or turns, let’s dive into the pool of profoundness.
Business Connect- How are Brands driving awareness today on Digital Platforms towards Doctors? Varun Gadia- If you believe that solely relying on digital solutions will guarantee you considerable success, then you need to be enlightened about the present scenario. Via this discussion, we will share some handy insights into this subject. We all know that since the fatal waves of the covid-19 crisis hit the country, the pharma companies were completely stranded, including the hospitals. The major and sole business driver for such service providers was a doctor! But amid the strict nationwide lockdown, when meeting a doctor was almost impossible for commonalities, driving sales seemed like an infeasible task for the pharma players. Hence, many pharmaceuticals or related service providers started approaching HidocDr- a credible doctor networking platform. Our platform has the highest doctor accessibility i.e. 8.1 lakh with more than 5.6 lakh active users in India. Owing to the credibility of HidocDr with the association of NHA, many brands started showcasing their infographics related to their brands and medicinal molecules accompanied with their articles, case presentations, etc, to be in constant touch with the medical practitioners to drive better prospects to their sales pursuits.
respective patients over WhatsApp, isn’t it? No doubt, this “WhatsApp digital adoption” has been heavily successful, but we cannot say the same for digital adoption at the ground level. All the millennial doctors(ageing between 25- 40) consider digital adoption as an everyday function, ergo reach out to platforms like HidocDr with which the exclusive presentations allow them to get second opinions while handling special cases. If they like a tool, they use it incessantly and accordingly. Notably, a significant behaviour change happens after the age of 40 only. Any specialist medical practitioner uses a platform like HidocDr occasionally as different age groups have different priorities. Hence, marketing your services to General Practitioners or Certified Practitioners, using digital is a ‘no-brainer’ at all. However, to create an effective and complex campaign specially curated for specialist doctors, one should reach out to HidocDr’s associates to be benefited from customized solutions. Business Connect- What are the key parameters for success to understand whether awareness exists for a Brand? Varun Gadia- A good question! If you look at brand awareness, then the most important parameter to recognize is whether a doctor knows about the brand or not? Even if he does, how do we evaluate the amount of knowledge he possesses that respective brand? Let’s say you have advertised your services to general practitioners in India via email campaigning, text messages, app advertisements at the PAN India level. Here, one can run a simple survey
Business Connect- Is the level of Digital adoption different for different specializations or the same across all specializations? Varun Gadia- An intriguing question indeed! What does digital adoption mean? Today, we can see that doctors or medical practitioners are unfalteringly interacting with their

question asking whether one has heard of a particular brand or not. To conduct a successful campaign as per the targeted market’s need, one should run a survey whether there is an increase or decrease in awareness. Yet another point is whether communication resonates with them or not. Even if you just ask them some integral questions related to the molecular formulation of the brand’s product, it would help you to acknowledge whether one has a deeper level of understanding of a brand or not, determining the success of a campaign.
educational content won’t do anything. Hence, fun-filled content comprising quizzes, Qas or promotional content can do the job. Business Connect- How to differentiate recall between a Branded Generic and Patented drug? Varun Gadia- About 95% of India’s drug is generic, whereas 5 % of the drug is patented. We know that patented drugs are known for self marketing as they are considered the bestin-class offering. Self-sustaining and self-selling is how we can quote the patented drugs. Contrarily, the generic drug is competitive and finds it hard to differentiate from its peers- asking for strenuous efforts to ensure an influential recall! Recall drives awareness and awareness drives the prescription by the doctor. Hence, the mass impression that is available to the doctors by constant notifications establishes a subtle and lucrative communication for both ends, scaling growth for generic drugs.
Business Connect- What is a Brand Recall? Why is it important? Varun Gadia- HidocDr advertises its customized ads to the doctors three days a week where it induces effective brand recall that would be able to increase the likelihood of the doctors prescribing that particular brand substantially. After all, ‘out of sight goes out of mind’ and equally brand recall is instrumental in keeping a brand on the top of your mind.
Business Connect- Perception change in an HCP - is it possible digitally? Varun Gadia- Of course! I would say digital reliance is a credible way after medical conferences to stimulate any change in the perception. Though it is a slow process, one can easily evaluate it and one can have a defined group of doctors to drive it. The first step here is to ensure impressive brand visibility but to drive it, a persistent campaign in different content formats should be dispensed across the doctor community to let them know the exemplary impact of the brand. This can drive a major change in perception affirmatively.
Business Connect- Does brand recall increase the likelihood of a prescription at the time of a doctor writing a prescription? Varun Gadia- As previously asserted, brand recall is an imperative aspect of increasing the likelihood of the prescription. Just consider a situation, there are three different paracetamols in the market, out of which two brands stopped advertising their services to the doctors over the year. Needless to say, that the doctor who is in continuous touch with the third pharma brand via marketing techniques will preferably prescribe it to his patients. The greater number of prescriptions are undeniably just a play of better brand recalling techniques. This could be accelerated by utilizing various content formats such as podcasts, quizzes, services, etc, to facilitate a better understanding of a brand.
Business Connect- Can you highlight a case study for a perception change in a Digital campaign? Varun Gadia- I would like to quote an example of one of the most famous and efficacious campaigns. There was a molecule to treat ‘Urticaria’ and targeting it, there were two major competitive drug companies who were equally reputed in terms of their sales drive. We got the campaign of a market leader who was primarily striving to increase the number of prescribers for its particular brand. After running an influential survey, we got to know that brand awareness was very good and after segmenting the responses, we got to know that between the age group of 26 to 40- the perception towards the molecule was quite amazing. Thereby, we created an exclusive campaign where we had a detailed microsite with testimonials in the form of CME videos along with researched and published articles and a few industry-specific podcasts. Similar approaches have been able to create around 8% of the perception shift in this direction. Now with a significant increase in the number of young doctors, driving brand awareness among this age group can make a huge difference in terms of the growth of any company.
Business Connect- What is the optimal frequency of an advertisement to improve Brand Recall? Varun Gadia- We call this a ‘two-part’ process. Two types of molecules in the pharma space are as follows- New molecule (formulated within the past three years) and legacy molecule (formulated five years ago). If your brand is into a new molecule stage then you wouldn’t want a consistent or constant impression delivery, rather prefer a short burst of delivery with a high frequency at a short period. On the other hand, the legacy market says that bombarding any doctor will irritate him as he already knows about it. So, for legacy molecules, rather than increasing awareness, the crisp content with less frequency will drive a better prescription rate. Business Connect- What ad works best to have a maximum recall? Varun Gadia- It varies from brand to brand as sometimes a doctor’s schedule has to be considered in this light. For multiple super-specialists, high-quality scenic videos with educational content from key opinion leaders will do the thing. Exhaustive journal published articles that you could do an abstract of or republish those articles on the platform is also quite persuasive. Also, podcasts from influential industry leaders will be more effective or high-quality infographics will teach them about something out-of-thebox in their specific field, grabbing their eyeballs. For GPs,
With HidocDr, Varun Gadia aspires to make this Doctor Networking Platform (DNP) an absolute solution to ameliorate the present scenario of the medical systems. His insights mentioned above perfectly assert the significance of brand awareness, brand recall and brand perception in this digital first world that will drive more clientele to consider the need of the relevant solutions- generating better business leads.

IOTA INFOTECH PVT. LTD. iOTAInfotech: Where Creativity Lies At The Core
iOTA: Inception Story
Having dealt with the drudgery of day to day work in an orthodox IT company, the Founder of iOTA felt the need to explore a different vertical. Mr Rahul Layal started his career in a company providing software solutions, and strived to not just get away from the repetitive challenges and frustrations of the job, but to discover above and beyond the scope of it. This is how iOTAInfotech was launched, and how it took shape as a creative agency. The idea behind iOTAInfotech was to break apart from the world of monotonous business dealings and explore the depths of creativity. To understand what creativity could bring to a new venture, and what wonders it could lend to the society itself. Creativity stands at the heart of iOTAInfotech. It is what makes the company stand out, and it has been the reason behind its sustained growth and encouragement. Rahul has been a firm believer in the idea of a workplace that is a blend of old experience and new ideas. When the tedious world of IT made him rethink his career and take up entrepreneurship, she scouted for new talent in the industry who would be as thrilled to face the new as they were dedicated to succeed. The Leadership Culture
and
Work
Entrepreneurship demands dedication and hard work for being able to achieve and live the startup dream. Each entrepreneur has their unique method to make it work. For Rahul, the focus has been on celebrating the small victories, keep learning and testing, taking initiatives that are new and promising without excuses, instead of just counting revenues. He focuses on an analysis of facts and trends to decide whether or not to embark on a certain venture and undertake strategies by visualizing its pros and cons. By clearly outlining all positives and negatives of a project, and
going back to previous experiences to improve the past mistakes and what he learned from them to make sure they’re not repeated, he ensures the team’s continued success. “Clarify your mission and values, as it is very important to set them right. Form concrete strategies and tactics for achieving your mission and stick to them,” he states. Rahul shares his thoughts and ideas with the team, keeping them encouraged by aligning them with his shared mission and values. Monitoring results regularly and making adjustments to respond to the strategic changes demanded by a volatile marketplace has worked wonders for iOTA. The books that have kept his company in acknowledging and achieving all this are “Good to Great”, “First, Break All The Rules”, and “How to Win Friends and Influence People”. He recommends these top three reads, which have helped his transform his outlook and personality. At iOTA, the team works in an environment that is congenial and cohesive, with the leadership paying attention to their mental health and environmental sustainability, and offering them employmentenhancing vocational skills. The best kind of companies are those where everyone works together cordially. Encouraging and promoting teamwork boosts productivity, because it makes employees feel less isolated and keeps them feeling engaged with their tasks.
For this, iOTA has Fun Fridays, and other Indoor and outdoor activities, which add on to the exciting activities for the staff helping them release workload and stress. The team that Rahul has created and nurtured at iOTAInfotech reflect qualities like uniqueness, attention to detail, delivering quality each time, honesty, reliability, positivity, complying with deadlines, respecting team members, company policy and rules, and most of all, being cooperative. “Starting something from scratch on your own is never easy. The struggles can never be put into words, but yes I would like to mention a few that are very important: - A team is something that you definitely need and building a team in itself is a struggle. - Once you have people to work for and with you, it becomes more than necessary to understand and know how you will scale your business to make the ends meet.” The future plans for iOTA right now focus on extensive year over year growth, while contributing to the economy. The company aspires to build opportunities for the brands whose marketing campaigns can bring a change to this world and the community.
Parting Words
To aspiring entrepreneurs, Rahul has these words of wisdom to share: Commit to one business. Know your industry/niche. Market analysis and a proper business plan. You can’t do it alone. Build a team. Don’t rush yourself but stay curious. “Make sure you prepare thoroughly before starting a business, but realize that things will almost certainly go awry but to run a successful business, you must adapt to changing situations.” 47
